Very disappointing service, it can be nice when they have stock, but 9⁄10 times they will not have nachos after 8 o’clock in the evening, it’s almost as if they use the last two hours of opening, to sell off what they have left or the staff can’t bothered turning on the deep fryer for tortilla chips that take 30 – 60 secs to cook, either way it’s lazy and shows they care more about their own convenience than the customers.

Only been to Boojum twice, but it was a great experience both times! They do a great student deal, and the staff are so so friendly and efficient. There is a good choice of different meats — I’d love to try the chorizo! Also, the variety of drinks and beers available are brilliant. Would recommend to anyone!

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place until now, how could I forget the wonders of Boojum! Despite being a native Boltonian, I actually moved to Dublin straight from Arizona and for those of you that don’t know, Arizona has a large Mexican population. Now with that, Mexican food is rife in AZ and good Mexican food at that and I’d developed a quite prominent addiction to Burritos, so I was slightly worried upon moving back this side of the pond — I needn’t have been! Boojum does fantastic burritos and filling at that! I’d obviously go dead simple with my choices; chicken Mexican rice gauc cheese sour cream, yet it would taste unbelievable! The only downside is that it was located on my walk home from the office, so I ended up having Boojum a good 3 times a week. The place is as you would expect for a Mexican burrito place in regards to the subway style of ordering, all the ingredients you need are also at your disposal!

Best burritos in Dublin if not the world. Their chicken and lime rice are really good.

Absolutely freaking delicious. This is essentially a local version of an American favorite — Qdoba — but with much better, tastier ingredients. The ordering process is much the same: pick the type of meal you’d like(burrito, tacos, nachos, bowl, etc), pick the meat /beans /salsa you’d like(meat choices include beef, chicken, carnitas, chili con carne, etc) and then add any special items or additions(lettuce, cheese, jalapeños, etc) and go. It was highly recommended to me by my Irish colleagues. Went with the burrito bowl(which lacks any type of shell, for reference) with chicken, pinto beans, Mexican savory rice, tomato salsa, cheese and sour cream. Phenomenal. Chicken was grilled to perfection, rice was arguably the best part of the meal(incredible taste), and everything else was spot on. Service was great. The only downside of this place: it is BUSY. Line was out the door when we arrived and there wasn’t any place to sit so we had to take away — but it is totally worth the(rather short, even out the door) wait!

«What would you choose for your last meal?» …I’m contemplating choosing a burrito from Boojum. Enough said. I always think I should try a fajita or tacos etc but then I’m like nahhhh, I love my boojum burrito and I know it’s gonna be epic! Working towards that boojum t-shirt with their loyalty card.

Definitely the best burritos in town. All the ingredients here are very fresh and of supreme quality. They have a great student discount and an easy to use stamp card! If you reach the free burrito in the stamp card, you can add guacamole and extra meat for free! Everyone who is a burrito enthusiast is a big fan of this place, that says something.

Nothing beats the burrito in a bowl, fab service and friendly peeps. If you’re student just flash your student ID and you’ll get a little discount along with a beverage. Sweet! And, if you’re watching the waistline, skip the tortilla and enjoy your burrito in a bowl — it’s most excellent even without the wrap! Mexican eats can be slim pickin’s in Ireland but there are some sweet spots that will cure the crave and this is definitely at the top of my list! Love this Boojum location!

This is hands down the best burrito place in the area. The chicken is sooo flavoursome and tasty. The bowls are huge and even the rice tastes soooooo good. In a place where there is so much competition in the burrito world this is the absolute king. Probably why there is a Q out the door every day.

If you’re looking for a feed, 100% recommend. Best burrito in Dublin and the best portion sizes ever. The greatest post workout meal of all time. The staff are always super friendly and never skimp on your order. Delira.

I was taken here by a mate in Dublin and whoop-hooop-hahh it was really good! Ok so maybe it’s more of a hipster/chainy type of burrito place than a family fun mama from Mexico city joint but I liked it. It was supposedly first set up in Belfast(thanks for the burrito history lesson Stevie M) so good to see they’ve gone ‘international’ already! The usual counter ordering is in place, standard ingredients too but they seem to get them all tasting lovely and inventive. The Mexican street rice was lovely, guac right on the money and the barbacoa melt in the mouth! It also had delightful salsa verde and cheese and sour cream that perfectly complimented everything. Drinks, location, staff and vibe ticked all the boxes for me — and it was really filling without being too stuffing. for around 7 euros I was in a burrito lead dreamland! I’d love to do a taste test of this alongside Little Ass Burritos down the road — sounds like a dream afternoon to me!

Ah fer God’s sake, this stuff. THISSTUFF. How the hell this hasn’t been at least 70% of my entire life for the last 6 months I have no idea. Why did no one tell me? Granted I’m always the one who makes *this* face at the thought of Mexican food and do this whiney little«see I don’t really like cheese soo…» excuse but HELLO where are my friends and why didn’t you TELLME. OK all of that aside, I had a really really delicious meal at Boojum. I went for the Fajita bowl with chicken with guac(cos I know a good time) and sour cream and NOCHEESE and tortillas and mild salsa. Dump it all together, mix around, scoop it up, die of happiness. Seriously, just so delicious. The Mexican savoury rice is so tasty and filling and the chicken is done just so, succulent and spicy. I might be back tomorrow. YUM

This is the real deal. This right here. Seriously authentic and everything a transplanted Southern Californian-er has been desperately searching for. Trust me when I say: this place is legit. While I feel like other places are good in their own interpretation of «Mexican food», Boojum hits all the right notes in all the right ways. All the flavors are dead on and what I remember(and crave) from back home. I’ve had many-a-burrito and Boojum delivers everything that I love, and miss, about Mexican food: the rice, the Guac, the marinade for the chicken, the selection of hot sauces… it’s like a little slice of California for me, and I will be back… often. The prices are fantastic and you couldn’t ask for more quality or quantity for your money. One of the most important details about this place is that they stuff the burrito so much it barely closes when wrapped… Boojum, please never change! …unless you make the change to offer delivery ;)

So far this has been the best burrito I’ve had in Dublin. I’m writing this a few minutes before leaving the house to go back there, so that says something I guess! Everyone talks about the burrito bowl, and I plan on having one eventually, but I love me a good standard burrito. You get plenty of choice for what to fill that tortilla with, different types of beans, rice, meats, etc. so you never get bored! I got the chilli and an extra of peppers and onions, so I kept mine very traditional, but I’m planning on mixing it up right now. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the place has a great vibe to it. It really is an overall awesome place!

Boojum has been known as the undisputed king of burritos ever since the burrito craze took hold of Dublin and with very good reason. This is the second Boojum in Dublin to open and it seems they’ve managed to replicate everything good that came with the first one. The staff are cool & kinda hipster, gives a mellow vibe to the place. The interior is relaxed & casual with your usual array of benches to sit down on. The real star of the show is the food, and it can be hard to really pinpoint where everything goes so right. The rice in the burrito is always moist and flavoursome, the vegetables taste fresh and it usually all holds together without getting too sloppy. They’re also absolutely massive so prepare to be more than full when you’re done. Boojum is up there as one of the top burrito joints in Dublin, they do more than enough right to make you clamour for more. When you start comparing it to the other top burrito joints like Little Ass or Pablo Picante, it really starts becoming more about taste than anything. And for me personally, Boojum is more my taste than the other two. In short: One of the best burrito/mexican food experiences you can find and is definitely worth your money if you’re craving some great, filling food.

No complaints here– probably my second favorite burrito bar in Dublin right now. The staff are always very pleasant and helpful and the place has a good vibe. Very Chipotle-esque in their approach and look. € 6:50 for a decent size burrito and i don’t feel like I have eaten a small child. There can be a line during lunch time so try to get there around 12:30.

I like burritos. More specifically, I like burrito fillings. When Boojum opened their original Dublin store, I was in there 2 – 3 times a week. I couldn’t get enough! When I heard they were opening a new store on Kevin St, just around the corner from work, I was rather happy. Doing their own take on a California burrito, they are doing fantastic work. The new venue is fantastic, with reclaimed wood on their tables, and a much faster way of getting through the queue. Do yourself a favour and get my usual — a burrito bowl with mexican rice, peppers, double chicken(yeah, double it up. It costs more but you’ll understand when you taste it), hot salsa, sweetcorn, and cheese. It’s a monster to eat, and will fill you up for the day — perfect before a night out!

I love Pablo’s for burritos, but Boojum makes the best burrito bowls! They have great portions most of the time and their prices are good for what you get — which is what I call Euro-mex! Sometimes their chicken taste more Indian than Mexican, but on a good day it goes well with the white rice, black beans and veggie mix! I also load mine up with hot sauce and the corn salsa. There are quite a few good days, by the way I am giving it 4 stars since the portions/flavor isn’t consistent. For a good price, you get a decent size meal. Even when the queue is long, they tend to move quick, which is ideal for a work lunch!

If you’ve spent any meaningful amount of time in Dublin and have a liking for Mexican food – Boojum needs no introduction. These dudes make hands down, the best Burrito I’ve had in the Emerald Isle, and trust me I’ve tried a ton of places. I used to swear by the Boojum outlet in Dublin 1, but I think I’m starting to prefer this one these days. The restaurant is much bigger and doesn’t feel cramped(like the other one). The staff behind the counter are super-friendly and I *think* they accept Cards too. The place gets a bit crazy during lunch, but given the well-oiled Burrito machine Boojum is, the line moves quickly and you don’t end up waiting for too long. Hands down 5⁄5.

So, I see myself as somewhat of a Mexican food connoisseur and have long been after a good burrito in Dublin. Boojum did not disappoint. They have a good selection of fillings, including non tomato based sauces, which, if like me you don’t like raw tomatoes(it’s a thing) is bound to delight you. But regardless of my food quirks, there’s a good selection of everything: meats, different rice options, Bean options, salads, sauces. There really is something for everyone. All this was served in a very fast manner and from smiley staff members who were very eager to help me choose among the different options and seemed to enjoy being there which was nice. I had my burrito to take away, but the place seems like it would be nice to dine in as well. It’s spacious and welcoming and they have gluten free options too! The one comment I would have is that maybe they should offer mini burrito sizes as I couldn’t finish mine, deliciousness and all!
