I’m a big fan of Mexican/Tex-Mex food. I’ve lived in California, Arizona, and Texas so I’m confident to say I know something about burritos. I’ll go out on a limb here and say it was the best burrito I ever had. The Sunny San Diego is out of this world. The burritos are a decent size making it a great value. The line can get crazy but it moves well as the friendly staff is very efficient.

There’s a feeling that comes with hunger; panging, vacant want accompanied by a longing gaze out the window. «I need a hero, fast» you howl at the moon. You need Pablo Picante. Merits: — The Clarendon Market outlet shares the straightforward(but whimsical) menu of its sister restaurants; you’ll know what you want in seconds. — The food is healthier than you’d think. No frying here; if it can be slow-cooked, or just added fresh, they’ll do just that. Vegetarian options are insanely good too. — You’ll want to walk it off, but a gander to Stephen’s Green park is perfectly realistic due to the location. Just don’t feed a pigeon a lump of Pico de Gallo. — The staff are very kind! You’ll feel like you’re being treated. — Cheesy Luchador cinema. They’ve decorated with a streamlined Luchador theme, and have generous upstairs seating. A wee 1960s telly plays a loop of what can only be described as buff, wrestling Austin Powers. — The student deal is a no-brainer. I’ll be attempting to get it well into my 30s. Cons: — I’ve had worse burritos, but I’ve also had larger. — It’s been somewhat empty each time I’ve been, but also far from peak lunch hours. — I’ve seen the same movie twice in a row. I know there’s a sequel. Five stars is a pretty weighty claim, but I seriously can’t recommend this food enough. It’s up there with the best. Thank you Pablo, you’ll save us all yet.

Iv been here many times, mainly on a quick break from work and it’s always top class. Rarely do you get fast food that’s actually good quality and not bought in produce. Tasting Pablos burritos and tortas you know it’s fresh and good quality. Very friendly atmosphere and great décor. Definitely without a doubt is miles ahead of any other fast food restaurant in Dublin at the moment.

Very very happy with our meal. Mexican food can be dismal in Dublin compared to the US. The burritos did not disappoint. Barbacoa was delish. I will def return.

This was my first introduction to burritos and I still think it’s as close as you can get to legitimate mexican burritos in Ireland. I’m a big fan of Boojum but think that Pablo’s is that bit more authentic. I also find their salsa to have a wider range in terms if spice/heat. Ingredients are fantastic and service is always very quick. I’ve always had the same quality product, regardless of which Pablo Picante location I’ve visited.

I liked it a lot… But. didn’t do enough to take over number one spot in Dublin(in my opinion). Now this could be of course my own fault as my taste buds have been ruined by other Mexican food establishments that have lambasted me with greasy and sautéed burritos. Pablo does have the most authentic feel of all the Mexican Restaurants I have been to in Dublin. You don’t feel like you need an emergency surgery after one of their great options. It is easy for both take away or sit down and their pricing is very much in line with what you’d expect. I’ve been twice for lunch and there is a small line that moves fast. The staff are helpful and the menu has plenty of options.

The first time(a year ago) I had a Beef Burrito from here it was unreal! Absolutely amazing. unfortunately it’s gone downhill since then. They’re half the size now and lacking the flavour. I still go regularly… like a junkie chasing the dragon Still pretty good food though!

Tucked into an alleyway behind Peter’s pub and about 2 minutes from Grafton St., Pable Picante isn’t the easiest place to find but well worth the effort. We popped in here for a pit stop on a busy Saturday afternoon. Queued at the counter for fantastic burritos — I had the Beefy Barbacoa and my late-teenage companion had the Sunny San Diego with extra guacamole, as you do.(I looked at the menu online afterwards to be told, shockingly, that these contain 820 and 735 calories respectively. You have been warned.) However, having ordered, we repaired upstairs to a surprising airy room with bench seating ideal for large groups of teenagers — which I’m not. It was perfect as was the food which, clearly freshly cooked and expertly wrapped, was delivered to us shortly afterwards. Polished off in 10 minutes, this is an excellent quick lunch spot. Not fast food just good food, fast. Will be back.

When my dear friends from Smurfit introduced me to this place I wasn’t sure what to expect. I love Mexican food, but I don’t like the super hot spicy sauces that they use. Weird enough? LOL Anyway, I took quesadillas with chicken because I was not super hungry and I have to say, what a surprise! The tortillas are very soft and the cheese, OMG I am in love! I am a huge fan of sauces(normal ones XD) and I was so pleased when I discovered there are two with this plate, guacamole and pink sauce(we call it this way in Italy, no idea of the english name — still it’s mayo and ketchup together: D). I totally recommend this place, even though you are not super hungry for a whole burrito, just take the simple quesadilla + chicken and you’ll be fine :) Awesome place if you are in a small group, because there is plenty of space upstairs! If you are hungry just go with the student deal(drink+ burrito+ I don’t remember = 6 €!)

Pablo Picante, as long you keep the quality of your food you will have no problem with the other Mexican places. This is defo the best burrito place in town. My favourite burrito is the chicken Sonny Son Diego and recently tried their light chicken option which has no rice, and the good thing of it is that you can eat it all and you won’t feel that your stomach is bloating. So highly recommend. Order an extra side of cremosa sauce and u will be in heaven. The only negative point of this place is that they close at 9pm and they simply won’t serve u even if it’s 9:05. Very disappointed. The others serve until 10pm.

From far my preferred burritos in town. I really enjoy this place and the atmosphere. I have been there many times and already exchanged my loyalty card twice for free burritos. They have there a good variety of burritos flavors and they are all super delicious. Differently from other burritos places, you do not decide what is going in your burritos ingredient by ingredient. They offer you a combination and you only choose the sauce spice level. Maybe that is the great thing about this place: no one is like, huumm, put rice, no more beans, not this one, the other one. Bleh! I hate to wait. The service there is super quick and that’s something I like a lot. Student special! Yay. Includes a beverage. Plenty of seats upstairs with old Mexican wrestling(Luta libre) movies on the TVs.

I like this place a lot. It’s quick, very filling, atmospheric and best value for money in city centre. I haven’t tried Bojum but this is the best burrito in town. I’ve been coming here for 5yrs i reckon! Beers are cheap too! Also Clarendon is ideally situated in town.

‘The wind was blowing in the willow. All the soldiers were still there, silent, waiting for the assault. No one was talking. We could only hear heavy breathings and hearts pumping. Suddenly, a huge sound broke the silence. The Booj launched his attack, in a rain of guacamole. Burrito and Blues counter attacked with dreadful bacon pintos. Tuzos y Toltecas were already out of the battle, struggling in silvery wrapping paper were they seemed stuck. The tacos were falling one by one in the battlefield, sending chili sauce everywhere. The ‘booms’ of the weapons was only disturbed by the sound of nachos crisping in agony. At the end of the day, only 2 were left. Little Ass Burrito, small but strong, was still facing an army of Mexican Wrestlers, ready to go all the way to win the Epic Grand Burrito War of Dublin’ And that, kid, is how I took part of this war. Every Dubliner might have noticed all these lovely burrito places popping here in Dublin. A cruel war started, not only between taquerias but also among the population. Who is the best burrito place in Dublin? I don’t have the pretention to answer that question, but Pablo Picante is definitely in my top 3 list. This cute taqueria hidden in a small street of the city center will delight you. It’s a great place to go eating even in groups of 7 or 8 as there are a few big tables. You can also eat outside if the sun is showing. You have a choice of approximately 8 burritos, all more exciting than the others. I went for the Señor Sli; Delgado, a burrito without rice but with chicken, feta, pintos and guacamole. It was HUGE, and super tasty. You could tell that they were using fresh products, the chicken was very tasty, the sauce delightfully spicy, and the feta was truly a great addition to the burrito. I also tried the chicken quesadillas. And that my friend, is a reason to loose your mind and take 10 pounds in one single day. Cheesy, tasty, crispy. Well, more like ‘cheeeeeeeeesy’. Pretty decadent tortillas covered in cheese, filled with chicken and grilled at the perfection. You deep them in hot sauce or guacamole, and daaaaamn that’s good! As a consequence, I would definitely recommend going to Pablo Picante of Clarendon Market, which has their full menu and a great location where the bravest wrestlers can even eat outside. It’s soooo good you will taco ’bout it all day! (sorry)

I moved here from Texas not too long ago, so I know a thing or two about Tex Mex food. I think I could happily eat Pablo’s every day of the week. Every thing I have had there has been incredible. The carnitas and Sunny San Diego burritos are delicious especially with the true hot sauce they have there — Valentina. They also give you the option of 5 – 6 different salsas, which makes for an even tastier and more flavorful lunch! Even with a large queue the staff are quick and efficient. Good price for the portion as well — huge burrito! If you are craving simple Mexican, go to Pablo’s. You can’t go wrong! If you are getting it to go, I’d suggest getting yours in a bowl, with the tortilla on the side. That way, you don’t have a soggy tortilla by the time you get home, and you can make a ton of little tacos with the tortilla and the bowl. YUM!

Yum! My fave burrito in the bowl :) with loads of meat(the meat alone fills me up) and a nice choice of salsa. The diner inside is class, seating a outside available too and the service perfect. Nothing to complain here at all — besides, can you open a branch close to Ballsbridge? I am just not close enough to you guys ;)

Im lately a fan of burritos it seems and the pulled pork burrito i had here today was nice, filling and spicy good. The staff seemed genuinely to enjoy working there and had a smile for each customer that came their way. I was served by a nice girl that was patient as i pondered over how spicy i would like my salsa; mild, with jalapenos or really kick ass chilli. I chose the mild spicy and that was enough! The tables are trendy but not too comfortable as the actual table was too far away from the bench and meant i have to sit on the edge of the bench which is not good for my temperamental back. But this is only a mild moan as i suppose the place is meant to be a quick stop rather than a sit down 3 course meal.

First stop for Unilocal’s Burrito Blow Out and it really is an auspicious start. It’s a very casual and colourful place, just like you’d expect from a burrito bar. I love the moto they have outside, it’s quite democratic: «Burritos para todos!». So don’t expect too much snobbery from these guys(: And that’s exactly what they deliver: nice staff, a well explained and diverse menu and big portions. I tried two of their burritos and they were both consistently good. What I really liked about them was that the isolated ingredients all were flavoursome, not just a bunch of mushy stuff thrown together with a salsa. It was quite dense too, and it held perfectly together until the very end(oh yes, I give it full five stars on the«Stay togetherness» point). The sauces are good — I only tried the Picante and Salsa Verde; I like hot sauces and these really suited my taste as they’re hot enough to make you have a sip at your drink every other bite but not terribly overpowering. Final scores: Restaurant — 4(4,2) Burrito — 4(4,3) The tortas and some more guacamole are next on my list!

Fresh & Delicious ! I have been a fan of Pablos since it first opened and have stood in the Q half way around the block at Pembroke Street many a lunch time — and always worth the wait. The portion sizes are really good and the ingredients are super fresh. I had a taste of all 5 different salas yesterday and have picked some new favourites. I find the burritos are not as flavoursome as some other burrito joints but maybe now that I have a better understanding of the different salsas I might be able to spice up my order a little bit and get it to my own taste. The restaurant itself is great — I love their sense of humour and you can’t help but love Pablo ! In terms of value I think they are pretty good — everything is well priced especially the bottled beer at € 3.50.
