I mostly go here for the repair shop down the back and they are truely excellent. They always sort you out without overcharging you. Twice they’ve sold me spare parts at a fraction of the the price. Ive had them do wheel builds too which were cheap and quality! Really friendly staff to boot. Best bike repair shop in town.

Since this store opened, I have only gone to them for anything to do with my bike — services, parts, accessories. I have recommended them to many friends for their efficiency, price and customer service. I was very happy with them, until now. I went in about a month ago with an odd clicking noise at the back of my bike. I picked it up the following day, paid 25 euro only to find that every time I changed gears, the chain got stuck. The noise only seemed to get louder. Last week, after not cycling my bike for a few days because of this problem I noticed my back tire was completely flat. I decided to bring it here, after checking that the tire seemed to have punctures in many places. After explaining this to the guy, I was told my tire was fine and he replaced the tube– he completed it in literally a few minutes and charged me 13.50. Grand I thought. I cycled the bike for 15 minutes an made it on to a very busy road in South Dublin. Being very careful about glass I went slow and dodged very bump, drain and shard of glass. Within minutes the back tire completely deflated once again and the back wheel almost fell off — on a busy road during heavy traffic. I rang the store and decided to walk to a dart station, pay for a ticket back to town and made my way back in. Not only were they not sorry at all, but the manager walked down to the service guy talking about me ‘demanding’ a new tire — in a very demeaning an derogatory tone. He replaced the tire, charged me an extra 20 quid, and didn’t even tell me what was wrong. I’m sure if he checked the first time thoroughly I probably wouldn’t have had 1) a near-​crash 2) to cancel family plans for later that day. To top it off, after paying, the service guy decided to say, in front of the manager and in a sarcastic tone ‘hope it wasn’t the end of your world’. I have never felt so cheated with any service, I felt stupid and uncomfortable. I will never go back to these guys again — as a loyal customer of this place for months, to be treated like an idiot and ripped off, without an apology for my inconvenience, was disgraceful.
