Was there tonight for my sisters graduation Dinner, wooo go eve! Lovely place, relaxed dim lighting, live jazz music on Friday and Saturdays and very attentive staff. I got the steak salad to start and oh my was it yum. Delicious thinly sliced seared steak with rocket, parmasen shavings and a horseradish dressing. It was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. For main I went with the pork belly which was cooked to perfection. It was ontop of some bubble and squeak which was creamy and seasoned well and ontop was a brambley apple sauce and the crispiest salty scratching. I cud have eaten a whole plate of the crackling it was so tasty. I was almost too full for desert but come on… I had to squeeze it in. I got the sticky toffee pudding which was hot and buttery and so so yum. They served that with some clotted cream which was mehhh. I would have much preferred some vanilla ice cream. I think it would have complemented the pudding a lot better. The cocktails were also very good. Had a mojito and a star martini. The Martini was passion fruit and it was very good. I would defo get again. Hmmmm few pointers. I would defo be back but I might go during the week as it was very loud and hard to hear each other talking at times. And the tables I thought were a little close together which ment the waiters could not put down your meals or pick them up if u were sitting on the inside of the tables. We had to pass the plates or take them off the waiter which for sucha nice place I don’t think you should have to do. Keep it classy Ya knowww… Parking is also difficult so if you are bring elderly people, I would defo drop them to the door before parking because you could be in for a walk. That’s all my cons, otherwise wonderful experience. U go marcoooo

This is a very elegant restaurant. We went for the early bird 2 courses € 21.95. We had a curried celiaric, parsnip & apple soup and also a beetroot, goats cheese and nuts salad as starters. As my husband said, they were fine dining starters, so simple but so rich, I had never had a such a nice soup and u can say the same about the the salad. Main courses were beef burger(so big and beautiful) served with fries and linguini with cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, olives and rocket(it was lovely, I just don’t think I’d order it again). Anyway, service was totally fine, they only came to the table to take orders and drop the dishes, which was great!!! So, lovely place, super recommend it!!!

We went for the early bird last night, and while it’s a lovely little spot we weren’t very impressed with the standard of food! More pub grub than fine dining. However the service was great and the staff very friendly. One thing though, you pay € 5 extra to get steak on the early bird and it’s absolutely tiny!

A swanky restaurant I only had one cocktail in. It is absolutely lovely but I wouldn’t expect anything less from himself. I ordered the old fashioned that was a bit too sweet for my taste but still really nice. The drinks took a while to come out but that may be due to good craftsmanship and a busy room. The bar staff aren’t particularly talkative but as mentioned they were busy so can’t blame them for that. They have a lovely outdoor seating area for smokers, complete with outside heaters, blankets and comfy rattan lounge. A nice establishment I wouldn’t mind revisiting :)

TL;DR — epic onion rings, sweet service, but capital crimes against ribeye steak. Don’t deny me the Maillard reaction. The physics of cooking meat is the real treat. It’s supposed to have amino sugary goodness. That umami whack-about-the-head that comes from protein on a high heat. Yumtastic. But, here, anaemic was the beef. Dull grey colourisation. It’s ribeye, it’s best medium. I love pink meat, heck raw tartare and egg yolk, but rare ribeye is chewy. It needs that little bit more time for the fat to render. But don’t stew my steak to get there. There must be that special opening sizzle. Colour me disappointed. The service was great. The onion rings perfect. The venue is picket-fenced Scorsese. Like Desperate Housewives meets the mobsters from Goodfellas. Ray Liotta and Joe Pesci would be right at home here with golf playing buddies from Wisteria Lane. From here it’s not far to The Butcher Grill, The Chop House or any FXB. They treat the meat better in all those places. Or travel south a bit further to Seapoint Restaurant in Monkstown for the best little ribeye I’ve had this year.

I would go back purely for the beetroot, goat’s cheese and walnut salad starter! 5 of us got it at our table and we all loved it! To be brief, I loved the food, the room and the music! I’d love to go back but probably for dinner next time! It’s too dark a restaurant for a sunny afternoon!
