I’ve had hot tea before. I liked the hot tea I had before. But I’ve never had tea *anywhere* near this good. This was by far the best tea I’ve ever had. I had the 1837 signature black tea blend and my girlfriend had the vanilla tea. Both were great. Our lunch was very good as well (duck ragout and the seafood lasagna).
It’s quite fancy inside, I really enjoyed the polished /​«shiny» atmosphere. It wasn’t particularly expensive either.
It’s inside of the ifc mall, so it was very convenient to stop by for lunch on the way to the airport via the HK Airport Express station.

Ich kenne TWG aus Singapur, wo das Unternehmen seinen Stammsitz hat. Die Läden bieten Restauration und dieses hervorragende Teeangebot. Hiervon musste ich einfach etwas einkaufen — die Tees sind in Baumwollbeutelchen verpackt und damit exklusiv — geschmacklich und hygienisch. Für Teekenner ein Muss. Wie aber für alles Exklusive (und in dieser Mall ist alles exklusiv) bezahlt man in Hongkong für Luxus seinen Preis. TWG heisst übrigens «The Wellness Group» — schöner Name. Meine singapurianische Kollegin lacht sich über den Hype von TWG kaputt und meint, dass die Leute Tee und Gastronomie lediglich edler verpacken, das sei alles. Und genau das gefällt mir daran.
