This place was wonderful! It’s such a cool concept, founded by a mother who’s daughter would always share her school lunches with her friends because they were so good. They have sushi, «koritos,» which are burritos made with a sushi wrap, and some bowl dishes. I got a tofu korito and it was delicious! Healthy, with perfect ratios of ingredients, and just a little spicy. To drink I got a bottle of barley tea, which was really good and interesting! It tasted kind of like corn flakes. This location is a small window/shop within the MTR station so it’s perfect to take lunch to go. I actually am not typically a fan of sushi, but I highly recommend this place!

This is Korean fast food chain. Quality of food is good. It offers K-roll, Korritos, bibimbap, odeng, etc. On this occasions, I ordered the Spicy Pork K-Bowl, which as very flavourful. This is primarily a take-away place, there are no seats. Queue at lunch time may be long, but moves efficiently.

We went to go get our Chinese visas and was very hungry. Although we had lunch plans I wanted to pick up something quick to hold me off. Well, I saw this little stand at the mall and didn’t look to weird so decided to give it a try… It was Delicious!!! Best fast food I’ve ever had.

This place is easy grab and go place that serve Korean style food healthily and creatively. You can get some tasty food that is easy to eat and fast. I have ordered from here a few times. They can always prepare the food very fast and packed them in very nice package. The food are seldom too saucy to make a mess. Especially the roll and wrap. Contrary to spicy salty Korean food, this place can be very healthy with lot of veggies, good portion of protein and mild on salt and spice. Although spice is mild, the food is still flavorful with the ingredients. Whenever I wanted a quick bite and staying healthy, I will think of this place. However, check the hours, sometime they don’t open. But provided it is at the MTR, I am imagine this place as a regular place for me.

K Roll is one of my favourite lunch spots in the Sheung Wan/Central area. It is a very small joint with only a few seats, so to make things easier, I usually just buy takeout and eat it at my desk. Apparently how this concept started was a Korean mom was making food for her kid, ended up everyone loved it. Yup… including us! There are a few things that I particularly like, such as their k-rolls and their Korritos. The K-rolls is a bit smaller than the korritos, and sometimes i find it not particularly filling. I tend to get a snack around 4 if that’s the only thing I get. The Korritos on the other hand are always enough. They are both essentially the same things, one is just smaller and chopped up. With the korritos, i really enjoy the chicken or the tofu. One of the reasons it’s so yummy is because they add little crispy bits in it. Sometimes when I don’t eat it right away, it gets soggy, but then that’s my bad. The crispy bits are the best and they use a really good sauce that’s a bit tangy and spicy. Wow, talking about this is making me crave for one now. I’ve tried some of the other dishes, such as their ramen. I find that the ramen is a bit disappointing, just because to me, it is nothing but korean instant noodles, i think this could be improved. Looking forward to going again.

I am sure I do not need to tell you how chaotic it is to find a place to have lunch during lunch hour in Central. You are dealing with not just Office ladies in high heels but handsome guys in suits. Like for real. Thus, it has been getting pretty common to have take away shops around Central just to cater the needs for those who just want to fill their stomach real quick instead of waiting in lines in scorching heat. K-Roll is one of the examples. It has one in Sheung Wan but I was pretty glad to hear that now they have one more branch in Central at the Central station. Honestly I am such a noob when it comes to Korean food, I always thought that Korean food is either kimchi or Korean Barbeque. That’s it. Turns out there’s much more. Over here you can order bite-sized kimbap rolls(basically a sushi roll without the raw fish), Korean burritos. They look a lot like Japanese rolls at first glance but the ingredients are mainly cooked like rice, tempura shrimp, fried dumpling skin, veggies, etc. They certainly bring out the Korean flavor with the special Korean sauce as well. To me, this place not only offers delicious food but all the food are very colourful and pleasing to the eyes. I understand that it is also very packed during lunch hour but guess what? At least you are waiting for your orders at a place with air conditioning.

I always take the Tung Chung line to Hong Kong station for one client of mine, and for some reason I’m always meeting them around lunch time. Why we have never rescheduled to allow for arguably the most important meal of the day, I do not know. But a nice way to compensate for missing out on some sit-down meal time has been K-roll’s on-the-go korito and bulgogi rolls. This is the third branch of K-Roll, the first branch being in Sheung Wan. Admittedly, the lines for the eateries in the station are much longer in lunch time, but you can order a K-roll here in the lunch rush and still expect to have it in your hands 5 minutes later, no problem. These kimbap rolls are actually bigger than a standard bite, and there are around 10 pieces in one box! For around $ 50, this is a steal. My favourite is by far the bulgogi K-roll, which can keep me fueled for the rest of the day — or at least, until dinner. Comparatively, the Korritto — Korean burrito — is a coned-wrap, filled with similar ingredients like bulgogi, chilli fish, spicy pork, tofu, or tuna salad, depending on your fancy. What I love about K-roll is that, although you do feel full after devouring your takeaway box of goodies, it feels much lighter and healthier than some other lunch options out there. Then again, one too many melted cheese dukbokkis from here and you may disagree. Important notes: they don’t take card at this station outlet, so you need to have your Octopus topped up or cash in hand. And obviously — seating options are limited, but you can order for your office if you’ve enough of a group. Additionally, last time I heard — they weren’t open on Sundays, but this might change soon!
