I stopped in when I needed a late dinner. Just ordered tea and vegetable soup but was highly impressed. The soup appeared to be made to order or close to it, with large chunks of vegetables. The service was good and overall was very pleased.

The only reason why we gave Greyhound Café a try is because Mr. Dubs and I both had the case of the grumbling tummies while browsing the IFC. We had a hard time finding another dining option at the time, so we settled for what looked like a cute little coffee shop. Here’s what we ordered: Pâté appetizer: Extremely mediocre. The pâté didn’t have much taste to it and the bread that came with it was stale. For that price tag, I definitely expected more. Burger: It’s really hard to mess up something as simple as a burger. It was an A-OK burger, nothing to really rave about. We overheard the waitress asking the table next to us how they’d like their burger cooked, but we weren’t asked when we ordered. Thai Iced Tea: It was waaay too sweet with too much condensed milk The service was also really mediocre as well. Our server was too eager to clear off our table before we were finished with our food! I think it’s a pretty clear sign that I’m not finished with my Thai Iced Thai when there’d half of the drink left! When I told my friend about our experience at the Greyhound Café, her reaction was that we could’ve dined anywhere else in the IFC and had a better experience. Unfortunately, I couldn’t have agreed more.

My friend and I were shopping in the Finance Mall and wanted to grab an early dinner. Yes, Greyhound, like the bus. I thought it was quite funny and that we absolutely had to eat there. We ordered the AVOCADOSALAD W/ROCKET LEAVES(which is just a fancy word for arugula, lol), and the SOFT-SHELLCRAB W/INK SPAGHETTI. The dishes were great, and there was nothing left over, but the sauce. :P ENJOY!

The service on this Café is not good at all. The waiter seems to act as if business is too good that they should necessary be nice to the customers. We have been rushed to finish our meal by the waiter. The food is all right but the service really kills it. Will not be back here. Unless the food is amazing

The food here is Bad! Stay away and The portions are Tiny. I can understand it might be more expensive to eat in ifc, but for what I’m paying this play really disappoints. We order the friend chicken wings. They were Shriveled up and Tiny. The noodles i ordered where bland and flavorless. The seafood my friend ordered was not fresh at all. But then again this places brand comes from an american bus company that also try happened to open fancy restaurant. The food is on par with its dirty buses.

Great service. Great location. Decent atmosphere. Bad food. Obviously there is going to be a line because food is kind of high in demand here. I ordered a complicated noodle. It was really difficult to assemble it which is fine because the name already entails work. I just didn’t realize they would serve some oily flat noodle sheets with a pot of garlic in oil and disintegrating pork mince in oil. Really just tasted of oil and amazingly not salty enough. Waiters were patient with us so that was good.

When I initially walked into Greyhound, I thought I was in a hipster café. From the walls, to the lights, to even the menu, everything seemed very hipster. Even the dishes themselves had a bit of creative flare in then. I ordered the mini gourmet burgers because the descriptions piqued my curiosity. There were 3 burgers each with different toppings: standard cheddar and bacon, grilled vegetables, and STRAWBERRY and Gruyère cheese. Needless to say, it was the strawberry that interested me most. The burger patties themselves were a little subpar(over cooked and with little flavor), but each of the toppings truly overcame that problem. The vegetable burger has a fresh and spicy taste, the cheddar and bacon had umami, but the best was definitely the strawberry and gruyère. The strawberry gave a distinct sweet taste that was blended well with the cheese. This interesting combo really packed a punch. Additionally, I had a cherry coke float, which was sweet and had just the right amount of cherry syrup. Finally, I had the Nutella and banana cheesecake for dessert. To be honest, even though it was beautifully played, it needed more Nutella, as the banana was overwhelming. All in all, while not having the best food, Greyhound has interesting food combinations and a great atmosphere and I would definitely come again.

Catch up with friends at IFC for lunch, and my friend recommended here. She is a fan of this place becos of the minced pork DIY wrap. I tried one from her dish and it was good indeed but too much work for me lah… The Tom Yum noodle I’ve ordered was also yummy. We did queued up for a whie but that worth it all.

Unexpectedly delicious Thai food in a fancy pants mall. Everything we had was delicious: complicated noodles, spring rolls and lemon iced tea. There is a version without lemon but the lemon one is much better. It’s fairly sweet and there’s no unsweet version since it’s premade, including the ice cubes made of tea. There’s also an extensive dessert menu of mostly western items and a few Asian ones.

One of my favs. Been the one in Bangkok & the HK version is nothing less. Where else can you get ice tea where the ice is made of tea? Complicated noodles… Don’t even go there. Along with Tom Yim Kong, you have New England clam chowder… Padthai & pasta on the same menu. Try to keep me away!

Having been to the Greyhound Café in Bangkok, I was so excited when Greyhound opened in Hong Kong for the first time(obviously now it isn’t new anymore with a few branches all over town). I came here a few times, mainly to accompany friends. To be honest, I don’t think the quality is the same as it is in thailand, but then I don’t think we should be expecting the same. It’s in a different country, there are going to be variations, it is expected. For what they have done, I must say, they have done a pretty decent job at recreating what they have in Thailand. From the décor, the black/white setting with bursts of sharp colours, to the dishes. I really love the ice tea here, it is different from most places that serve lemon tea. yes it’s such a common drink but they are different here. They use lime and they freeze the tea into ice cubes so when you add water, the ice cube melts and turns into tea. How simple but genius is that! I also really like the chicken wings here. I would say, you are safe going on a date for chicken wings if this is your restaurant choice. They separate the chicken wing joints so it’s more like a lollipop and you won’t have to eat messily. How smart is that! Ohhh. one other thing I must recommend, are their desserts. I am truly not a dessert fanatic but I think their desserts deserve a mention. Their mango crêpe layered cake is super yums and not too sweet. Try it next time!
