Came here with a friend for a nice dinner. The atmosphere is chic, modern and cosy all at the same time. Fitting to its name, there is a lot of glazing being on the roof top podium of IFC as well as a planter wall. Their sister restaurant, Greenhouse is not as good. The indoor seating is a little cramped but if the weather permits, the outdoor seating has excellent view overlooking Victoria Harbour and the Kowloon Peninsula skyline. I would say the food is definitely yummy. I haven’t looked into their mission but from the menu it seems they are British themed. Creamy mussels and clams– good but portions rather small. Peach tea– SOGOOD! Warning though~ I’m easily sold with nicely presently drinks and food. The black ink pad Thai was much better than it sounded

The menu is really interesting asian/fusion — i love this type of food„ the food itself is amazing(the chicken curry and pad thai noodles are to die for) and the service was sensational — our waiter called was one of the best waiters we have encountered in HK in years. and the location/atmosphere wis wonderful — big/airy restaurant with view of Victoria harbour. i really struggle to fault this place and we will probably be back next week unless i can convince my wife to go sooner!

Ambience, décor, location, food — excellent! Actually I wouldn’t mind coming back again for all the above. However, I have to note that my experience was marred this evening by the assistant manager’s arrogance who sheepishly called himself Dheepak(if it was his real name). We were not offered the Happy Hour drinks menu when we were sat down and ordered from the a la carte. Having noticed the next table being offered the Happy Hour drinks menu, we had asked for the same and queried why weren’t we offered it when we sat down as I would have liked to have chosen a drink or two from it. His response was«so what do you want me to do about it? If you want me to say sorry, I will.» Gosh, that was not the kind of attitude for a front of house staff! It wasn’t even about the HH deal but more so why weren’t we offered the menu for it! Sigh, in all my travels around the world, I am most disappointed by arrogant service. Spoils the occasion and customer experience!

Four stars for this aesthetically pleasing Asian cuisine restaurant in the beautiful IFC mall. We were looking for a nice lunch place on the first day of our Hong King trip. A friend of mine stayed at the Four Seasons years ago and recommended the IFC mall restaurants. We found glasshouse and immediately thought«let’s go here». It has a modern décor with a beautiful harbor view. We were immediately seated and ordered their Christmas cocktail and a Carlsberg. The mixed drink was ok but the Carlsberg was quite good, nice and cold in a tall beer glass. We chose the singapore noodles and duck rolls. Both were very tasty and portion size just right so we did not feel too stuffed. A solid first meal for our trip!

The space is cool, the food is good, the drinks are interesting, and the service was fine. Why not 4 stars? Prices are higher than I would like, and service was, as I said, fine. I would have liked a more attentive server who didn’t cast a disdainful eye over my hoodie and then seat me by the door. Still, that wasn’t about to stop me from enjoying my time here! I started by attentively studying the cocktail menu — it’s intricate with much to offer. Finally, I settled on one of the most interesting drinks I’ve had in ages, made with curry leaf infused white rum, peach liqueur, apricot brandy, sour mix, and topped with molecular ginger beer foam with curry leaves, at $ 88(about 11.50USD if you were wondering). It was really lovely. To eat, I went for the green masaman spinach chicken curry with steamed rice, at $ 118. It was a pleasantly-sized portion, and quite tasty indeed. A bit on the salty side though. The girls next to me had tried the signature squid ink pad thai, which seemed interesting too, though I was happy in my choice. Altogether, it was an enjoyable dining experience, partly because I really liked the ambience of the place with many green and growing things all around, low lighting out on the patio, and a nice view of what the chefs were doing in the kitchen, which always fascinates me! Not sure if I will be back, since there are so many other places to try at IFC, but I don’t regret either my time or money spent here.
