Gardenia Beauty is the ‘beauty’ sister of Princess Nail which sits just a couple of shop fronts away.
Some of the treatments are a little out there, such as the dedicated breast massage to unclog milk ducts advertised on their website… but thankfully their list includes standard treatments too. I personally visit for eyebrow threading which is carried out in a tastefully decorated room under a super strength facial light so every last hair gets caught.
The male and female therapist always try to sell me on the permanent make up. To be fair, they’re both glowing examples of very subtle permanent eye liner but I am too much of a scaredy cat. I did however, give the eyelash extensions a one-​off try and was really pleased with the results which essentially eliminated the need to wear mascara. They lasted for about a week and looked really natural but I wouldn’t go it again — putting glue on your eyes just seems risky!
I would recommend the foot massages however. The set up is more stylish than your average reflexology joint with modern egg chairs and a gold tree trunk dominating the room. There are also only a few seats so the experience is nice and quiet.
The staff are native Mandarin speakers and English can prove a bit of a problem you can communicate your beauty requests relatively easily but don’t expect a conversation. Worth booking as it’s a small operation.
