After changing their approach in the first half of 2015, Noroc is now open for dinner between Wednesday and Sunday. This hole-in-the-wall type of place is located in one of Leiden’s many alleyways and offers the cute opportunity to sit outside and watch people walk by, while you drink your coffee or enjoy your food. The bistro serves a variety of food, ranging from typical Dutch dishes to Italian food and salads. All dishes are great, though the vegetarian options could be more balanced. However, their house wine is amazing, their coffee is good, the desserts are yummy and the goat cheese salad is nothing short of sublime. Plus, the place is super affordable, making sure the filled emptiness in your stomach is not replaced by a hole in your wallet. All in all, Noroc makes for a very cute place to go on a date or with a friend and is even affordable for students; we’re fans!

A wonderful lunch place. Comfortable and laid back with a great selection of sandwiches, soups and salads. The mustard soup was not overwhelming but still distinctive and very nice. The goat cheese sandwich with walnuts and honey we delicious. Great lunch choice in the old city

No 1 on tripadvisor, but now also on Unilocal. This is really the best lunch place in Leiden. They have very passionate chefs, who reallcy cook excellent menu’s. Not your standard lunch dishes, but really only exceptional things. I was there with my girlfriend and we shared our courses. She had a ravioli pasta with truffels and duck in a great sauce, I had the vitella tonato. Both really good dishes and combined with the relaxt atmosphere, the good drinks and the chef very close to your table, this is a must go for a lunch in Leiden! Realy really good!
