This place is well-hidden! Somehow whenever one thinks of a place to meet for coffee in Leiden it’s always Roos, Lebkov, Anne&Max, or Coffee Company… All of those places are great, but this one is still worth considering because: A) It’s next to the Pieterskerk, aka in an area with relatively few other cafes(ok you could walk 3 minutes down the road to the busy area but one gets lazy when living in such a small town) B) It’s still relatively unknown and has an unpronounceable name, so you’re very likely to get a table C) They make great coffee, and I’ve heard they have insanely good sandwiches. D) It’s adorable and very cozy. E) I’m pretty sure it faces the part of the square where they used to hang people. Perhaps a turn-off for some people, I think it’s kind of cool — counterbalances the quaintness. Worth a look anyway!
