Azzurro

Azzurro is a very decent Italian restaurant. The food is reliable if not particularly innovative. Pretty much your typical Dutch Italian place with very consistent quality, I’ve never had anything I disliked from Azzurro.
We used to go to Napoli a lot in Haarlem, which has higher quality food for sure, but then one day Napoli got some award, and the next day, their prices had doubled (really, doubled!) for the exact same food they’d been serving for many years. So we began going to Azzurro instead, and don’t regret the decision.
Service is very friendly, especially to women, if you get my drift. The owners, I think they’re Egyptian, are very friendly and complimentary and won’t hesitate to call out a ‘Ciao bella’ as you’re on your way out.
