I was in Amsterdam two weeks ago staying at the Marriott and was looking for a good quick meal. The line for Wok To Walk was out the door but moved quickly. I ordered Chicken Teriyaki with egg noodles and veggies. It was absolutely fantastic! I ended up going back a few nights later for the same dish. I highly recommend it.

For the life of me I would not be able to state which location I visited three times in three days back in 2011, but what I do remember is how delicious the quick service eatery was. Apparently I was eating out of the takeout boxes each time when I was eating inside the whole time, who knew! Delicious, quick, friendly, and customized meals. Yum.

Not a fan! They have all the elements of making a great dish. All the ingredients and flavors are there, but the three times I tried it, it was just never right.

No volvería.

Great for when that Chinese food craving hits! I went out on a limb and got Saigon sauce which wasn’t my favorite but my meat, noodles, and veggies were on point and my friends all loved their meals. I’ll definitely eat here again!

Welches Fleisch? Was noch zusätzlich? Ananas, Paprika etc. 3.)

It’s no secret that I love Wok To Walk, but this one is quite small but it wasn’t completely over-run at lunch time which I was expecting considering it was near the Old Church. The service here was GREAT! Super friendly welcome and we didn’t have to wait at all to order. And as soon as we ordered someone was already cooking it up. Definitely the quickest I have ever been served! I even took a Wok To Walk newbie here and it won her over :)

Wok to walk is pretty well known around Europe and it’s the easy way to get decent Asian food in weird hours, as I’m not a big fan of all these döner places to me it’s always a good option. Weird thing though that my favorite peanut sauce doesn’t exist in Amsterdam, at least not on that particular store, so I had to compromise on a garlic and pepper sauce which was good but not as good as my regular choice. However, with all the drunk(or more likely –high) people all around there was still a pretty calm atmosphere and a nice break from all that’s happening outside When we went in we were one of the last ones to be served but unlike Germany they don’t rush to close and seems like they will happily serve another hungry costumer before the door is closed, even if it’s a bit after closing time. For those of you who are not familiar with the format– make your own noodles. Pick your noodles, pick your sauce, pick some extras(or not) and you’re all set!

Best(and probably only) stir-fried, greasy Chinese food in Amsterdam that stays opened late! Not only do I love the creative name to this place, the food is served up fast and it is ultimately great to fulfill the late night munchies! You get to pick the type of noodles or rice, a variety of toppings to be tossed it in with and the sauce to complete the meal! It is super delicious! Trust me! You simply can’t deny it while being a passerby!

My favorite part in Amsterdam… After a terrible meal at Majestic and not finding our tour group, this place was the perfect pick me up. We came here for dinner after seeing multiple people carrying their boxes around Dam Square and Red Lights District. You can customize your meal(noodles/rice, vegetables and/or meat, sauces, etc.) or choose one of their recommended selections. The food itself is cooked on the spot and super fast. It’s perfect to carry to Dam Square and people watch. It’s also fairly inexpensive(for Europe) and the portion size was huge. Only downside(and Europeans are probably used to it but) there’s no bathroom in its facilities :/

This place makes me do a little dance. What you’re getting is legitimate and fresh chinese food, made in just minutes so you can grab you container and continue strolling the streets of Amsterdam. There really isn’t a bad combo on their menu but I really enjoyed. Just go crazy and try stuff you usually wouldn’t. I had myself fried rice with chicken, beef, shrimp, pak choi, and Beijing sauce. How could you possibly go wrong with that?

I must have ordered the wrong thing… I got egg noodles with Saigon sauce. Flavors were good(after adding sambal), but a lil too much ginger(or something else I can’t place my finger on). The egg noodles were no good. Tasted like old spaghetti noodles. Also, after eating half the container, there was a weird/off after taste. I’m going to go back and give this place another try.

One of the happy discoveries on the third trip to Amsterdam for me and my wife… This place is quick, easy and to the point. Rice or noodles, fillings, and sauce dumped in a wok, heated, and tossed in a takeout container. You’ll be in and out in no more than 10 minutes. The portions are great(not easy to come by in Amsterdam…) and the food is hot, fresh and delicious. Prices are perfectly reasonable(again, not easy to find in Amsterdam) and I’ll be back again on our next trip.

Great quick food stop if you’re shopping or sightseeing. You choose the noodles, type of meat and the type of sauce. Affordable, fast, convenient. You share tables with others. Not gourmet but good food price– value.

YESYESYES!!! I need me some W to W when I’m in Amsterdam. I love it. I’ve been to Amsterdam for an accumulative 20 days and I’d say I have had the Wok about 10 to 15 times… and I think more than once in a day as well. How to order: Step 1: What kind of noodle or rice do you want Step 2: What is your main protein Step 3: What sauce you would like My answers: Udon Noodle, Pork, Teriyaki The best part about this simple ordering method is that I’ve been so Amsterdamned I could barely talk, but in the end was still able to spit out the 4 words listed as my answer above and slap 7 Euros on the counter to get my food. At the tables they have some spicy chili oil and paste that is amazing to add to your noodles. After about a 3 minute wait you’ll be in Noodle heaven.

Though I’m not exactly a connoisseur on Chinese cuisine, The folks at Wok to Walk have something good going on here. Despite only being in Amsterdam for nearly four days I ate here twice, which I think speaks volumes. Not that everything is perfect here, though. The customer care is quite uncaring but you would’ve made a mistake expecting anything else. The customers are churned out one after another for maximum turnover, once you’ve paid you’re just in the way. That aside, there isn’t much to dislike about Wok to Walk. The food is constantly being prepared behind a plexiglass screen and arrives very promptly. It’s usually quite easy to pick holes in the quality of fast food but here that is just not the case. The food is actually quite marvellous — well, by fast food standards anyway. If I find myself back in the Dam I’m coming back here. Under 10 Euros(unless you want a load of extras) for a good, fast meal? Yes please. Marvellous! Ian

Face it: Pretty much everything in Amsterdam is expensive, so finding a place like Wok to Walk was wonderful. While on line to order, we watched what others were getting, and also noted the very generous portion sizes… and that convinced us to share a meal. The food was ample and very tasty(kudos to the cook, single-handedly preparing all of the meals behind a plate glass window on a rather stiflingly hot day in Amsterdam). The pricing was as reasonable as you can find in Amsterdam, especially along the main streets of the Centrum District. All in all, this would probably become one of my favorite if I were living here!

Do you have any idea how expensive and unfulfilling the food in Amsterdam is? Well, Wok to Walk saved my life in Amsterdam because it was the only thing that would fill me up and leave me decently satisfied after binge drinking without exhausting all my EuroTrip funds! Plus it’s so convenient and quick and their marketing via ubiquitous to-go containers makes you want it all the time! I will say that Wonder Wok around the corner is a lot better and I’m sad I didn’t find that until my very last night in Amsterdam. The possible negative about this place is that they have to rush through so many orders that they might burn the food and subsequent orders with that Wok will have the burnt/smokiness throughout it.
