This year the Affordable Art Fair was in Amsterdam Noord. Off the beaten track, but a lovely location in a former industrial area. This was my first time at an AAF and I wholeheartedly enjoyed the experience. Art fairs should get rid of their extremely snooty attitude and also cater to a broader, non specialist audience. Was the art fantastic? No, some of it was of dubious quality and way too commercial, but you see at as well on «real» fairs. This was meant to be fun and friendly and very low key and they completely succeeded. Whether you know a bit about art or not, I am sure you will have a great time and I can recommend it to everybody.
