I simply love Starbucks (may the Italians don’t hear me, most of them don’t even consider it to be proper coffee) and this one is just located at a great place. Inside Amsterdam central station exactly in the middle of the hallway where now they have a piano for people to play. Which can be quite entertaining while having your preferred coffee (mine is caramel macchiato :-)). Not to mention the delicious cakes (that doesn’t help your diet by the way). Is a great place to stop by after an afternoon shopping. Only downside is that they are not quite cheap. Well nothing is perfect isn’t?

I’m a nerdy collector of Starbucks mugs & will seek out SBux in each country I visit to grab a mug w/​the country or state’s name on it. Just a nice way to enjoy my morning latte at home & think back on all our fun travels…
This location was the closest to our hotel & at a well-​timed break from walking all around the city, we stopped by & took advantage of their FREE WiFi & grabbed a couple of SBux collectors’ mugs… one w/​Amsterdam & another w/​The Netherlands. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have been fair to have chosen 1 over the other
There was a line but it went quickly. They offered the standard selection of cakes & pastries that seem to be in every SBux you see, no matter where you are in the world.
The sitting area was clean, as were the bathrooms, & the WiFi signal was strong — and that makes it A-​OK w/​us!

Starbucks is starbucks Where ever you are. Great thing here is quick and friendy service and the baristas speaks english and Dutch. That does not happen a lot in Starbucks :)

One of the starbucks in the train station! This one is in the main hallway facing the front.
The staff is very friendly, the drinks come out as expected, but the cups… but i swear their cups… they are deficient… every cup of tea i got, dribbled down the side… sigh.
As i expected, there are limited flavors for the coffees (like 4 to 6) and the milk is the basics — soy, fat free, and whole milk!

OK, so it’s a Starbucks in one of the first places that one might see when arriving in Amsterdam. But it does have some advantages, such as larger coffee sizes and being open early in the morning. For those collecting Starbucks country/​city mugs, you can add to your collection here as well. Always packed, service is efficient and friendly.

An okay Starbucks to go to if you have some time while in the station. The bad thing about here is that it is usually really crowded with lines out the door at times. There is also very limited seating and since there is hardly anywhere in the station to sit, most of these seats are usually taken.
That being said, once you do get to order, there is usually enough people working there to get your drink made relatively quickly.

Always a welcome sight after a day of waiting for, taking and changing trains. And unlike a sad majority of the Starbucks I inadvertently visit abroad, this location actually produced a damn fine caramel macchiato, worthy of the Barnes & Noble Starbucks on the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. (that’s high praise)

I am a big Starbucks Coffee fanatic. The funny part, I don’t even drink coffee. I just love Starbucks products and service. What I love about Starbucks is everything about them is based on «high quality». Down right to the customer service being attentive, which is impressive to me. Although the atmosphere is too packed at this location and does not have my favorite big chairs, I am still impress with how quick the line moves and their wonderful customer service.
