First real big meal while in Amsterday our first day. Close to the Crowne Plaza hotel where we are staying. Cozy, Food was very good and spicy. However, table came sans silverware and the waiter was too busy to really notice. Most customers were fellow Americans. Not sure why more LOCALS were not eating there?

Pretty decent place. Ordered corma, which is some kind of mild coconut curry, along with normal nan and garlic nan. Very nice meal. Reminds me of old times in Canada eating Indian food with Indian friends.

I have had plenty of indian food and given that my ethnicity is India — I’m pretty sure you will have to take my word for it :) I have never eaten at the restaurant so I cant comment about the ambience. But I have had food to go from here lots of times. Delivery, packing — Prompt & good Prices — Reasonable Food — Now here is where I get serious — What I like about this place is that they have the regular dishes on the menu but they all taste — authentic, made from scratch — almost home made. Its not too greasy and its not too heavy — the sauces of all the dishes and dal’s are very«salt of the earth» — if you get my drift. Would I go here again — yes !

Yesterday i had shrimp beriani and shrimp massala, the shrimp beriani was a disaster, not been prepared and cooked as should be whom have experience in Indian food would say that too. Massala i would rate it 30% only. Not recommended at all. Cant sign to free wi fi unless you mark like on their website.

My husband and I had dinner here tonight. Plenty of vegetarian options. Not super cheap but not too pricey for the touristy neighborhood. We’ve had a LOT of Indian food in New York and Los Angeles from various regions and while I did enjoy our dishes they tasted quite different from any other Indian food we’ve had although the dishes had the same names. The vegetable kurma and the channa saag both had a more gelatinous consistency and were sweeter than we were used to. We did end up cleaning our plates using some plain naan to wipe up the last of the food but the dishes almost tasted like candy, in a good way, just different, we couldn’t quite figure it out. We started with paneer pakoras which were cute little triangular cheese fritters, tasty and not greasy. Although we ordered naan, the meal did not come with any extra sauces, no mint or tamarind as we are accustomed to in the U.S. I had the house red wine which was decent. Service was fast and friendly. The ladies bathroom is tinier than an airplane bathroom but clean.

Oh, I so miss the good old days when i use to eat at my favorite Indian restaurant in the pijp, until some crazy person in Amsterdam decided to bomb the restaurant. So we decided to try out this Indian restaurant, since we were in the area. The food here is ok, but nothing special or bad. I would grade it in the middle. I still have not been fortunate to come across any A level Indian restaurant, since my favorite spot was demolish by craziness. The Indian food at Namaskar is not amazing, but passable. The price is very fair and the customer service is good.

I had a wonderful chicken dish with flavors that danced on my tastebuds and fantastic nan bread with raisins.

My favorite Indian in Amsterdam. Unlike other places in Holland, when they say«hot» here, they mean it. My first visit I had the vindaloo and got it «hot». It was awesome but even as a hot food lover it was more than I could handle. I nearly hurt myself with the heat as it was soooo good I kept eating anyway! Next time around I chose«medium» and was much happier. Naan was good and so was the Sag Paneer. Will defintely be back on my next trip to Amsterdam.
