My friend and I visited Le Sud after getting a glowing recommendation from my other friend and it was awesome! We got the eggplant hummus and the lentils along with some falafel and were given huge amounts of awesome complimentary sesame bread! The owner was kind enough to wait for us as we ran to the ATM to take out some cash since there wasn’t a credit card reader. We strolled to the park afterward and ate there. 10⁄10 would recommend for any vegan or vegetarian in Amsterdam.

The best hummus in town! Period! Well of course, they have a whole spread of every Mediterranean delight imaginable but their hummus is my favorite which comes in more than 3 – 4 flavors so I have been trying all of them out. They do have sandwiches too. I ordered it once to go but came home to find that the falafel was missing from the falafel sandwich. I think it was an honest mistake coz when I mentioned it to them the next time I was there and they graciously offered me falafel on the house, which was also extremely delicious by the way. This is my one stop shop for all the dips etc. for any party. definitely recommending it…

This is an amazing deli that happens to be vegetarian. I say that because I would encourage my carnivorous friends to enjoy it as well! They have an outstanding range of hummuses – cilantro, aubergine, and at least three others, dips, yogurts, beans, dolmas, salads, etc. My favorite thing to get is an aubergine(eggplant) sandwich where they put two kinds of grilled aubergine dip inside a fluffy Lebanese(?) bread — one spicy and one regular. You can add your choice of toppings — lettuce, pickles, peppers, pickles, etc. I like to get the whole shebang. And this hefty beauty only costs € 3.50 — can’t beat that deal in Amsterdam! I love this place! Note, they only have one seating for two at the front, so this is more of a take-out place. But don’t let that dissuade you, check it out!
