This place makes you wish there were more then 5 stars to give a Unilocal rating. Simply amazing; everything about this place was perfect: the ambiance is intimate and cosy, yet quite modern; the menu is very simple, but the things that they offer are prepared with great care. The prices were very reasonable. We had the sardines in tomato sauce as a pre-​course, which I thought was very original and tasty. The swordfish sate (incl. home made sauce), regular sate (incl. home made peanut sauce) are simply the best I’ve had in Amsterdam. The fries are great, as is their home-​made mayonaise. The cherry on top was the dame blanche with raw chocolate sauce. An all-​time dessert classic (which hasn’t been spotted on any menu for the past 5 years — unless you’ve been travelling to Drenthe) has been reeinvented to perfection here. My wine favorite was the red Grenache wine (which goes just fine with the swordfish). Perfect. Just perfect!
