I can not fault this place at all! Food was excellent all round as were the drinks too. Coffee and teas were regarded as works of art and made with such care and attention. Portion sizes were big too. The atmosphere was chilled and exactly what you want in a brunch.

Really great brunch and nice service. The place was quite busy, but still there were no lines. I would definitely recommend this place. Also I was a little worried it might be to touristy of a place, sense it was that close to the museums, but no I would definitely recommend this place.

The hip hop play list(Guru, mos, pharcyde) was giving me life while I sip my cappuccino. My Benny was enough for two so it’s a decent portion. The prices were up there but I would come again.

I had this recommended it me and wish I’d come soon! The flat white was perfect, they did creamy mushrooms and l&p on the menu — this is a proper kiwi breakfast place! Dave had the eggs benedict, I had the pulled pork with mango salsa and poached eggs which was amazing! It was so good you just have to try it to find out. Service was very friendly too. Make sure you get her early or get your name on the wait list.

Fantastic place for brunch! Was here with a group of friends yesterday and the service and food was spot on! Fantastic choices of cocktails and food for a tasty brunch. Ingredients really fresh and the atmosphere was great– really buzzy. Would definitely go back and completely would recommend seeking this place out for a great brunch in Amsterdam!

Excited to review this awesome place as my first Amsterdam foodie review. One of my favorite restaurants in Amsterdam, and a perfect one for when company is town, Bakers and Roasters is up there with the best of the brunch spots I’ve ever been in the world. If you are visiting Amsterdam and hoping for traditional Dutch breakfast options, this isn’t really the place to go — check out one of the pancake houses(although you can visit those for all meals including dinner), or go to a boulangerie or bakery, because there are many of those as well. But in general, if you’re into great, diverse food options — including healthier, vegan or gluten free ones — and a wide assortment of café beverages, fresh juices, or cocktails, this is seriously the best place to go to of them all. I’ve been a few times, the first time I got the Huevos Rancheros(crispy tortilla topped with organic brazilian black beans, melted cheese, two fried organic free-range eggs, avocado, fresh tomato salsa and sour cream.(v). You can add chorizo for 3 euro. This was an incredible meal, very very filling, but delicious, not super greasy, and everything was fresh. I also had a matcha latte, which was yummy(but definitely sweetened, for super-health nuts who would disapprove of that). The second time, I got the Power Breakfast(egg white scramble with organic brazilian black beans, brown rice, garlicky spinach, a scoop of cottage cheese and grilled chicken breast.). Again a huge fan of this — I have never combined egg whites, rice and cottage cheese before so this was a bit of a risky endeavor and it paid off perfectly. Definitely healthy — I could tell the rice was steamed and not buttery — but still indulgent. :) Of the other options, my friends shared their Vege Brekkie and the Kiwi Brekkie, and I would definitely order the Vege Brekkie the next time I go. Halloumi, avocado, hot chili jam… really delicious combo. Another note, when you walk in, you see all of their Baked cakes, cookies, muffins and other desserts — they are all made in-house and get switched up daily, I believe, and are worth checking out. I was very impressed when one of my friends had the genius idea of turning one of the fresh juices on the menu(The Green Juice — green apple, cucumber, celery, lime and ginger) into a cocktail with I believe vodka, and our server was happy to create this for her. Sacreligious though it may seem to regular juicers, it was delicious. Their other cocktails are also really great. My only«con» about the place is that it is very popular, so if you go on a weekend or another typical brunch hour, be prepared for about an hour wait or try to make reservations. The good thing is they do have a nice cushy waiting area right at the front, and the restaurant is big with a pretty enclosed patio area in the back, so once seated you don’t feel super crowded or suffocated, and service is always quick, polite and good-humored. :)

First day in Amsterdam and we came here because my daughter used to work here. First of all it is a cute café which has a lot of seating for such a little place. They have a cute indoor patio area with about six seats and a pretty plant wall. Now for the food. We ordered Acai bowls, which had bananas, strawberries, raisins, and almonds. Being from Hawaii, we not used to raisins in a Acai bowl so that was kinda strange. But it was okay. My son had banana bread French toast with crispy bacon. That was really good, but it’s really sweet and heavy so it’s more of a dish to share with the table. I had the Kiwi breakfast which was soooo good. Scrambled eggs on toast, bacon and sausage on a bed of delicious cooked spinach and potatoes in a mushroom sauce that was to die for. It also came with a sweet onion and tomato relish that was really good. I also had a cup of mocha that was nice and chocolatey. Overall good food. Service was just okay that’s why I gave four stars instead of five. about 60 euros for four people.

Absolutely delicious brunch! I had the corn fritter special with poached eggs, avocado and beets. It was delicious. The corn fritters look more like pancakes, making them a little lighter and more manageable to eat with the poached eggs. There is an entire counter of desserts. Took a few bites of the lemon cake and it was pretty good!

Love this place! In Amsterdam for 3 nights &2 out of 3 breakfasts were here.(Would’ve been all 3 if we didn’t have to queue early for Anne Franks House!) Located on a side street just a few minutes walk from one of the tram stops. Indoor & outdoor seating available to choose from depending on the weather on this mostly pedestrianised street. The premises offers breakfast & brunch with a huge variety of options from standard breakfasts to French toast & pancakes, fruit bowls & a list of teas & coffees. The food is amazing, some odd combinations but the chefs know what they’re doing. The staff are friendly & helpful. Amazing looking cakes & cookies for brunch or takeaway.

Recomendado 100%. Visita obligada si viajas a Amsterdam ;)

Wow. One of the best brunches I’ve had anywhere. Also, the restaurant itself is super cute. We came here per a friend’s suggestion on our first morning in Amsterdam. It was a Monday, probably around 11, and the place was surprisingly busy — a promising sign. We waited about 15 minutes for a table. we were the only ones waiting at this point so it wasn’t a long wait. I had a fresh squeezed orange juice, a cortado, and the eggs royale(to which I added avocado). The juice was fresh and delicious, and the cortado was both beautiful and the perfect morning pick-me-up. The eggs royale was a generous piece of delicious bread, with an even more generous serving of smoked salmon, topped with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce, plus the extra avocado I requested. Every bite was amazing. We wanted to come back here for brunch one more time before we left Amsterdam, so we stopped by around noon on a Saturday. The waiting area and the outside of the restaurant was packed with people waiting, so we sadly decided to pass… but if I’m ever in Amsterdam again I’ll be sure to get to this spot bright and early!

Excellent American breakfast. Good quality of ingredients for both pastry/savory breakfast and the cost is on average with the city. Only drawback: arrive before 9:30 otherwise you need to waiting in queue!

We found this place before visiting Amsterdam and noted it down as one of the places we’d go for a late breakfast. Little did we know we’d end up going there every single day of our three-day visit. There is probably nothing we did not like. The food was fresh, tasty and filling. The coffee and fresh juices were equally great. The Eggs Royale with smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce have me still craving them. Spending on average € 20 for a brunch is not a lot given the size of the portions and the quality of the meals. The atmosphere is busy but friendly, warm and welcoming. The interior is nice and clean, full of light if you’re sitting in the room at the back. Definitely will visit this place again next time I’m in Amsterdam as I vowed I’ll try every single dish they serve.

King of brunch!!! Salmon stack has the best of all breakfast combined into one! Filling thick hash stacked with gushing egg benedict and fresh smoked salmon. Mmmmmm, my ideal brrakfast. Plus, order a sausage on the side and your belly will be happy for hours~ Wash it all down with their fresh fruit/veggie drinks! Delicious with very subtle earthy taste! You can definitely tell the food is fresh and cooked on the spot with lots of produce boxes decorating the server station. Be prepare to wait, though we got lucky and only waited for 5 minutes. Also, they took Visa, which was awesome!!!

I was really excited to try this place after reading the reviews and looking at the photos. Also because it was close to the Albert Cuyp Market. We arrived at about noon, and were told that it’d be a 30 minute wait, which was fine. I don’t mind waiting to eat when the place is good. About 7⁄8 minutes later, our table was ready and we were sat. I was pretty excited that we were able to sit so quickly. So we got our menus, and ordered a Bloody Mary and strawberry Collins while we decided what we wanted to eat. The waiter came back, and we ordered the chorizo hash and the eggs Benedict. About 20 minutes went by and our food arrived, but still no drinks. We asked about our drinks when the food was sat down, and the waiter said he’d go check on them right away. Once he left the table, he never went back to check at the bar. Eventually a different woman came and brought our drinks out. The food was good, but in my opinion was standard brunch fare, but at a 20% markup from other places I’ve seen in the city. Additionally, the restaurant was pretty understaffed. No one seemed to know what was going on at ANY of the tables. And I could over hear multiple tables making comments to each other wondering where their order was. So the food was good, but not worth the poor service and price markup.

I love the interior design, especially the plant wall at the end of the restaurant. It also looks very clean here. The service was perfect! The waitress brought me free water without my having to ask & she put ground black pepper on my delicious eggs benedict. I love this place! Pro-Tip: The waitress brought me a little dish of salt. If you get the eggs benedict, try it out before you just assume & add salt. Chances are they’ll be pretty salty already. Pro-tip #2: Get the orange juice! It’s so fresh & crazy delicious. :D

The reviews are spot on for this place: it’s worth the hype and worth the wait! You get a table faster if there’s less of you and come early(8−9am) if you want to beat the rush. Altho I didn’t like my huevos rancheros too much but I must commend it was a beautifully crafted dish if you’re craving a Mexican chipotle type burrito bowl except for breakfast, with eggs on top. All the ingredients were very fresh, and tasty. I just regret not getting their Viking salmon eggs Benedict dish. Their salmon was sooo fresh! The bread was amazing! And the portions was great. Friend got the French toast with bacon. Tasty, although I felt the portions was quite small, she devoured it really quickly lol. I only wish I could come back to try their mouth watering dessert spread and sample the rest the breakfast menu… Nice and helpful staff. English friendly, and clean bathroom. Prices average $ 4 for drinks and $ 15 for breakfast entrée.

Located near the Heineken experience, Bakers and Roasters is a good place to grab some breakfast/brunch food. The pulled pork here was quite frankly, amazing. Mix in that perfectly poached egg with a piece of avocado and it becomes pretty dam good. It was quite unexpected for us to find delicious pulled pork way out here in Amsterdam. The other thing we ordered were the short stack pancakes, and while good, was less memorable. 4 stars.

So I came back this Saturday again and it was just as awesome. This time we came later(around 12h30−13h) and had to wait for almost an hour to be seated, but we indulged in their delicious muffins meanwhile. We had the carrot and the banana with blueberry — the latter was formidable, one of the best I’ve eaten. I went with the Cubano Sandwich this time: pulled pork on a toasted brioche bun. It felt like tiny fairies were dancing and shooting orbs of flavour into every corner of my mouth. My husband also fell in love with his choice, the Power Breakfast(egg white scramble with organic Brazilian black beans, brown rice, garlicky spinach, a scoop of cottage cheese and grilled chicken breast). It reminded us of a traditional Brazilian«PF — prato feito», a dish with massive amounts of delicious comfort food. Mimosas were also in the game, obviously. Double recommended!

Gerne wieder :)

This place has got some serious breakfast! What’s not to like about a breakfast joint that includes a milkshake alongside your pancakes? Uh, nothing. Service — 5⁄5 fabulous staff! Atmosphere — 5⁄5 bright and sunny. Tasty faceness: These guys have a lot of cake to choose from, so make sure you stop by and take a look. I noticed there’s a lot of healthy stuff on the menu, and there’s also a lot of organic stuff, which is one reason why the price tag might be higher. Food: — Presentation– 5⁄5. These guys know what’s up. There’s a lot of pride in their plating presentation. — Kiwi breakfast– 5⁄5 some things are underseasoned, which was perfect to complement the salty bites like the sausage and bacon. Put the perfect bite of everything together on your fork, and what a win! The mushroom sauce was kind of flavorless though! — Huevos rancheros– delicioussss This place is kind of pricey for being breakfast though, guys. Breakfast for 2 people ends up being like 40 Euro for us each to get a hot plate of food and a drink. Food was really great! Just not sure if it was 40-Euro-for-a-plate-of-lunch great.

I’ve been here twice — the atmosphere is amazing, the service is nice, the portions are huge, and the food is good(although it’s a little over priced). It’s a great place for brunch, but I never come here on the weekends because the wait is cray cray. You might still have to wait a little during weekdays, but it’s bearable. I’ve tried two of the highlights(Huevos Rancheros & Smoked Salmon Stack), but I’ll have to come back to try the Navajo Eggs.
