My favorite belgian waffles can be found here! Discovered this place on the way back to our hotel from the Heineken factory. I had such a great eating experience here with my husband that I cannot wait to come back. He had the english breakfast and he also enjoyed his meal.

Really… «Meh» sums it all up. The location itself is nice and I like the inside, but the pancake was barely average and just not memorable at all. They seemed to have more menu options and an ice cream fridge with different flavors. maybe worth trying? I personally wouldn’t come here again for the food, but maybe for an occasional cup of coffee on the outdoor terrace.

Absolutely fabulous! The neon next to the kitchen says it all: «Dutch Pancakes.» These tasty crêpe-like treats come in savory and sweet varieties. They can be pizza-sized(pannenkoeken, usually savory) or bite-sized(poffertjes, about a dozen on a small plate, usually covered in fruit and served with powdered sugar and whipped cream). Service can be swift, but be prepared to attract the attention of the servers even when the place is slow. By the way, the place is actually decorated like a carrousel, complete with wooden horses(a sign admonishes you to refrain from standing on them in both Dutch and English). This place is a perfect way to start your day in Amsterdam. Someone should bring this place as a franchise to the USA — you could make a fortune. Highly recommended.

Delicious pancakes, enormous, friendly service, lots of toppings, yum! Building is unassuming and we weren’t sure we had the right place to start with, but then we saw the menu! We were recommended the place by a local.

Genius! I visited Amsterdam for 3 days for spring break 2015. My friend had a tip to hit this spot and it delivered 100%. The poffertjes were delicious and so unlike anything I’ve ever had! Crispy on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth doughy on the inside– my mouth still waters at the thought of them. The friendly service was icing on the cake!

The perfect place for your sweet tooth or a nasty hangover. The alcohol spiked coffees are delicious as well. Try the Italian coffee(a large espresso splashed in amaretto, topped with whipped cream and served with a cookie.) Warms you right up. The staff is warm and friendly and there is a huge selection of pancakes and other treats to explore. The grand mariner Poffertjes(mini pancakes) are mind blowing! And for those cold days, the Snert(pea soup) hits the spot! *ask for the«Maggi sauce» if you order this soup. ;)

I love this place. I come to Amsterdam about once a year and this is always my first stop. The pancakes are massive and one will be large enough for an entire meal — there is no need to order something savory and then something sweet. If you’d like both they have a bacon-apple pancake of which half the pancake is covered/filled with each topping. My favorite is the apple-raisin-cinnamon-butter pancake, simply because it’s a classic. I’ve never ordered a meal other than a pancake/waffle here but from what I have seen on other patrons plates everything(especially the bacon cheese burgers) looks delicious. This place has inside and outside seating and is slightly outside the city center away from some of the tourists. The staff is very polite but often can only speak Dutch. Though the menu comes in English. There is free wifi.

Food is ok, nothing special. Near the museums but not much else. Wasn’t worth the 20 minute walk. Wait staff wasn’t very friendly and like a lot of stuff in Amsterdam it doesn’t open until 10AM which seems weird for a pancake place.

This is my second time here. My first time was my last trip to Amsterdam two years ago. We enjoyed it then, so we made it a point to come back. The ambiance is quaint. It’s a circular restaurant with some carosuel horses in the middle. There are then three rings of tables inside and a fourth outside. The kids are allowed to play on the horses, which my daughter loved. The service was very helpful and friendly. The kitchen took longer than we expected, but the servers were always around and she checked in from time to time. The food is delicious. Though it isn’t really dinner food, who cares. You can get sweet or savory. I opted for the savory and my wife and daughter the sweet. I started with the pea soup then the bacon and cheese pancake, my wife and daughter got the poffertes with strawberries and mixed fruit respectively. Those poffertes are heaven on Earth. The prices are very reasonable they only have two dishes over ten Euros

This place is across the street from the Heineken Experience which is the only reason I ended up here. There were only 3 occupied tables when I went. The menu has nothing exciting or special so I knew not to expect anything spectacular. I just wanted something in my belly. I got a bacon cheeseburger and fries since for some reason, Amsterdam loves burgers. But like what I had expected, it was nothing special. Service was typical European. The server leaves you alone until you’re ready to pay. They have wifi but you have to like their Facebook page first before you can use it.

The breakfast here was reasonably priced, fresh(you can see the open kitchen), large portiones, not crowded or busy… but the service was absolute crap. Albeit it is no fancy restaurant but there is an older blonde lady there who was so rude to us both times we went in. I can t tell if she is a waitress or the owner. Basically if you flag down a waitress they will just stare at you if you are not in their section. but the whole place is quite small and circular so you can see the entire place from any point. For me it was worth it to return for the poffertjes but it was also close to our hotel and we were tourists and didn t know any local hot spots.

This isn’t a gourmet restaurant, but they are always open and there’s always seating, so if you just want some pancakes or a quiet breakfast in a cheesy carnival atmosphere, this is the place to go. I’ve had a number of ‘romantic breakfasts’ here because it’s so quiet and low-key that it’s easy to relax. It’s sort of the Chicago equivalent of a Golden Nugget/greasy spoon type of joint, only they serve pancakes with alcohol! and ice cream! which makes the alcoholic child in me very happy. They also have real English breakfasts and other high-protein foods in case you’re into that sort of thing, and their assortment of pancake and poffertje options are vast indeed. The location is ideal for watching people walk by outside through the busy intersection, or watching the elderly or handicapped groups inside that are brought here for breakfast by their caretakers who mindlessly stare at their iphones while their charges enjoy their pancakes. Pancakes make everyone happy!

Dom, want geweldige lokatie en kansen lijkt me.
