What a fresh and tasty breakfast/​brunch shop! The coffee was strong, the service was fast and friendly, the wifi was free. I had the most delicious smoked salmon bagel. Very generous on the portion of salmon and on the food. The décor was cute, and had gorgeous windows overlooking the water. If I lived in Amsterdam, I’d be here studying daily. Lots of places to sit and lots of people working on laptops. Pretty quiet environment. Closes after lunch hours.

Delicious smoked chicken and pesto bagel, tasty fresh orange juice, good coffee. Worth a visit!

You’ll be sitting there for a long time with no service what so ever.
Don’t bother trying.

2 stars is for food and the amazing view, –3 stars for terrible service. Probably the slowest in the city! Waiting 75 minutes for 2 bagels is ridiculous. Also apparently their staff don’t like to clean tables, plates remain on tables long after a customer is left so bring your wipes and get cleaning yourself!

Cadre et vue sympathique. Menu pas trop cher. Cependant, le petit déjeuner n’était pas fameux, avec très peu de produits à l’intérieur, et pas forcément de qualité exceptionnelle. Dommage car, comme toujours, les serveurs étaient très gentils.

This was a nice find close to our hotel with a view of the water. Very convenient for a quick bite before checking out the city. I highly recommend the green tea matcha latte.

Mise à jour ! Deuxième jour à Amsterdam, deuxième déjeuner au Bagels & Beans. Aujourd’hui, plus de monde, service plus rapide et fraîcheur nettement meilleure ! Hier était-​il un mauvais jour? Le gâteau aux dates était excellent et les deux bagels que nous avons essayés aujourd’hui, nettement supérieurs aux précédents. À recommander pour la vue, la déco et la nourriture équitable/​responsable.

Nous sommes arrivés dans ce «restaurant» par hasard parce que notre bed&breakfast nous y offrait la formule petit déjeuner (bagel avec confiture aux fraises, jus frais & café) ou 6 € au choix.
Nous nous sommes tout de même décidé à contourner la formule offerte pour goûter aux bagels qui avaient l’air alléchants sur la carte. J’ai pris un bagel avec du poulet cuit et avocat et j’ai été assez déçue par le goût et la présentation. Zéro assaisonnement, le bagel nageait dans l’huile de Pesto et le bagel était très mal coupé. Le pompon? Le pain était très dur car il sortait du four mais ils avaient mis du temps a nous le servir.
Mon copain a goûté au bagel sucré (banane) et le pain lui aussi laissait à désirer. Les salades sont bonnes mais celle au chèvre goûtait un peu trop le miel.
Au final, au premier abord le restaurant à l’air hyper sympa, la carte alléchante surtout qu’ils prétendent être «organic» et que les prix sont pas très chers. Mais au final, après avoir attendu 10 minutes qu’ils débarrassent la table après les clients précédents, puis 10 minutes pour qu’ils prennent la commande et plus de 15 minutes pour nous apporter nos plats alors qu’on était les seuls clients (il était midi passé), je né peux m’empêcher de mettre «que» trois étoiles, ce que je trouve est déjà bien

Wonderful location with an awesome view! The interior is really nicely done, what with exercise bikes and modern furniture. It’s so much better than a regular Bagels and Beans, and they have an excellent coffee machine!
But, what’s with the loud bar staff?! I couldn’t stand the dishes clanking all the while I was there. It’s like a secret ‘get out of here as soon as you’re done’ signal. They really need to quiet down with that.
That said, can never go wrong with the sundried tomato bagel!

This place is no doubt but my favorite café in Amsterdam. Peaceful, quiet and yet full of energy — a perfect place to reflect and observe the surroundings during our seemingly busy life. I can’t wait to be back here again, sipping on my morning latte and enjoying my whole wheat bagel toasted with honey & walnut cream cheese! P/​S a little side note to add, Ronald (I think he’s the owner) uses John Lennon’s famous quote, «Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans» in his welcoming message, so let’s start our day by living at the moment today, shall we?

Bagels and Beans is an old favorite, and the new branch is beautiful, with a view to beat the fanciest place! We were greeted by the friendly staff and given some great news: they open at 7am everyday! This could be our weekly breakfast date before we pedal off to work!
