Best Family Restaurant in Guam! What I missed in this great family restaurant is the Chamorro sausage and fried rice! The best in Guam! There’s a variety of Breakfast Combo to choose from. Prepare for a bland taste cup of coffee! They give you a side of this«Pinadeni» Chamorro sauce stuff — so good! Mostly crowded on weekends. All in all a great experience. Though, be prepared for slow service. Might have to wait if it’s busy but well worth the wait. The food that we order was cooked fresh and seasoned right, it’s tons of food for any appetite, forget about the prices, it’s worth it!

I was so excited as he reviews were diverse but for the most part good. The food was good if they charged $ 7 per plate. Buuuut, that is soooo not the case. The surroundings sad and drab, food completely missed the mark, service was pretty good not great, and presentation troubling. I have eaten much prettier cafeteria food… that actually tasted just as good. The cafeterias I am referring to would have charged $ 5 for what was served. Matter a fact the cup o noodles I had the other day tom yum flavored for $.89 was tastier… All and all extremely nothing special, not worth the trip def not worth the $$$$$.

I think Tamuning location is better than Hagatna as far as taste is concern. My hot wings was a bit salty for me. Garlic rice was awesome. Environment too noisy. I’m yelling across the table just to speak to my family. Overall experience: it’s ok and course I’ll come back.

Great combo fried rice and lumpia! Good selection of Filipino favorites! Bring your appetite as the portions are large. They are always busy and sometimes the service after your food is serves is lacking: however it has become a favorite.

This is NOT the same place it was from the 1990’s(insert sad face). I understand things change with time but here on Guam change is something that doesn’t occur quickly. If you’re thinking you’re coming back to get a good old taste of the historic/epic Shirley’s Fried Rice — walk away… it no longer exists. We dined here twice during a recent visit(thinking the first time was a fluke — i willingly went back a second time) and was completely disappointed. Portions are huge! A Samoan would be overwhelmed with the portion sizes here! But don’t get all excited yet, food is under-seasoned, undercooked and overcooked vegetables, tasteless curry with an odd, watered down consistency. Fried rice was tasteless and unremarkable(really!). No amount of salt or pepper could compensate for a lack of flavor and creativity for the food here. Sad…I was really hoping Shirley’s would give me a taste of what«home» used to feel like. Customer service was lacking as well(why am I not surprised?). We waited a long time for a waiter to come and take our order and even longer for everyone at our table to get their food. There’s nothing more awkward than waiting on the final one entrée to arrive and everyone else has gotten their food. Let’s just put it this way, by the time the last entrée arrived we were salivating with anticipation for sustenance(we were«hangry»). Unfortunately no amount of hunger could force me to eat the food. What did we order? Did it matter? Not really… a roundtable taste of everyone’s food surmounted to the same verdict. See above. Sorry Shirley, I won’t be coming back again.

Stayed in Guam for 4 days. We ate at expensive hotels and restaurants, and everything was bleh… Was feeling really disappointed by all the food in guam, but then on the last day, we found this gem! So sad we didn’t find it earlier. Staff was really friendly and offered great advice when we couldn’t decide on what to order. Food was delicious! Portion size was generous! Price was very reasonable :). Left feeling very happy.

Another Guam institution! Shirley’s always gets multiple visits from me when I’m on island. It’s reliable food that’s good and simple. I usually order the beef tapa with garlic fried rice and 2 eggs over easy. My husband usually gets something(anything) with Chamorro sausage. You really can’t go wrong here. Give the pancakes a try too! A tip: check the specials on the board, they may surprise you…

I was feeling a little depressed during my visit to Guam as I didn’t have any major dining hits — Shirley’s breakfast was not only the exception — it was my saving grace. Thank god that the breakfast combos are still good. The milkfish, beef tapa and fried rice special seriously saved my trip. Shirleys is reliable — they give you a ton of food and it’s always good. I hope that things don’t change the next time I visit!

My fiancé and his family have raved on and on about Shirley’s fried rice for years. During our recent trip to Guam, I finally got to taste it. We had a difficult time trying to decide on what to eat– milkfish, salmon, mahi-mahi, or parrot fish. Fried rice with it, of course! With the great help of our waitress, we decided on grilled mahi-mahi with fried rice for me and milkfish and fried rice for him. The verdict? The food is legit. The fried rice is pretty darn good but what I really liked was their selection of fresh fish. The portion of the fish is great– a whole milkfish for him, and very generous portion of mahi-mahi filet for me. Dipping the fish in finadene was like crack!
