Moody’s Market & Butcher Shop

Such a fantastic place and so glad my wife and I came across it while visiting zionsville. The juice bar has a great selection and prices are very reasonable. We tried two of their soups and they were both delicious. The market section has a great selection of healthy and organic foods as well as produce. All the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Everything about this place is excellent. Looking forward to visiting Moody’s again the next time we’re in Zionsville. Highly recommended the green giant juice. And make sure to get a punch card and join their loyalty program!

I was going to give this place four stars because their items are above average in taste but pricey. I went ahead and gave them five for excellent service, which I am grateful to report I receive more often than not at any place I go in the Indy area quite frankly.
I actually don’t know that much about what different cuts of meat are best for what type of meals, but the guy behind the counter was very patient with me as he lead me through the options. And in a non-​condescending way. A big beefcake like me should know the difference between a butt and a whole roast but hey, who knew flank steak was so lean?
And maybe it was the quality of meat, or that I was just paying attention more, but the grilling experience was better. The ground beef «stayed together» better and was cooked more even. It also took a little longer which only allowed my view of a freshly-​mowed backyard seem more serene.
You would think the butcher at a store like the Marsh nearby would be good enough, but when I see six different types of bacon on display here. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT MAKES EACH ONE SO SPECIAL!
Have you ever felt not-​rushed at a grocery store butcher case? I always do. So that’s why I’ll be skipping the butcher at the grocery stores and returning to Moody’s. Nice work guys!

Moody’s is next to Hopwood and they have lots more than meat! The produce looked great and there is a bulk food selection as well. My daughter and I enjoyed a breakfast of donuts from Rocket 88 and chocolate milk shots from Traders Point after visiting the farmers market. There is a smoothie bar & coffee right by the entrance — several smoothie options but looked like just brewed coffee, nothing fancy.
