My choice of restaurant for Father’s Day dinner for my husband was pleasantly surprised. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a warm smile and a wonderful decorated restaurant as it was magnificently decorated right down to our wine glasses. Our complimentary appetizer was wonderful, our dinners Surf and Turf, Shrimp Alfredo was amazing. My only complaint is that I did not have room for dessert. The prices were great. We will be returning soon and I will be starting my dinner with DESSERT! Trouble with that decision is, what will I select? The choices of desserts all looked so good! We give DiMaggio’s and our waitress a huge Thumb’s Up! Thank you for a great Father’s Day fit for a King.

This place was a complete waste of our time. It looked promising when we first walked in. The owner greeted us and was friendly. Fifteen minutes later our waitress stopped by and took our drink and food order. She put a platter of cheese(parmesean) and pepperoni on the table and said she would be back with bread. Ten minutes later we got bread. Meanwhile, we are getting nervous because only one other table has food. Not a good sign. Eventually we got our salads, which were inedible. The lettuce and vegetables were soggy and rotten. We got our bruschetta about 45 minutes into our visit. We asked for the check because there was no way we were holding out to see how long until we got our food. Honestly, our experience here was a joke. Perhaps the«Italian» owner should help out his staff more instead of sitting and talking to friends.

Very troubled writing this review which always happens when I select the wrong menu item and my wife makes a better choice than I The service was good and the staff attentive to us but I was told a long time ago by my father that you only eat at places where there are cars on the parking lot. Guess what nearly 5pm and the place was nearly empty. My wife had a wonderful linguini dish with crab meat and I ordered the lasagna. To my surprise, it arrived looking like a brick a big brick at that. The waitress informed me that the portion was two lbs. Nothing on the menu indicated that I was going to receive a gargantuan portion which some people actually equate to value. I believe that the $ 15 price tag for the pasta could have easily featured a portion half the size along with a salad which was not included with either of our selections. The lasagna appeared to be leftover reheated in the oven as the pile was so high that the middle of the entrée was only warm and certainly not juicy but dry as well. I ate about a third of what was brought out, and brought the rest outside and promptly disposed of it not wanting to reheat the reheated portion tomorrow for lunch. I have decided that I probably will not ever order lasagna in an Italian restaurant ever again unless I see other patrons who are eating it. It needs to pass my eye ball test . Perhaps next time I will let my wife order for both of us as she had much better luck. After having read all the positive reviews here regarding this place, I can not say that I am a fan. I surely hope for better luck tomorrow at dinner.

We had just finished flying and were getting hungry for a good lunch. We make it a point to try local dining before having to settle for chains. It was about 2 and we saw DiMaggios. I thought it would be a typical Italian restaurant. The outside was very low key but when we stepped inside we got a shock! The seating and décor was very upscale. In fact, I thought perhaps it might be a bit too pricey but what a pleasant surprise. Very reasonable! The staff was very friendly and polite. We were seated at a nice table which allowed for some real room to enjoy our lunch. There was a nice relaxed atmosphere with Sinatra music played low and good lighting. The waitress was very helpful and attentive. I had a Caprise Salad and my husband had a Hoagie. The food was fresh and delicious. The check was under $ 20 and for such a nice dining experience! Would definitely go again when we visit again!

I truly cannot speak highly enough of this place. Don’t be surprised to hear this review overlap a lot of what other diners have said — it’s all true. Immediately, the place stands out with its beautiful and eye-catching exterior design, moreso when contrasted with its immediate surroundings. You enter and feel as if you’ve been taken to a six star restaurant on the West Coast; the color palette is easy on the eyes and insanely gorgeous and classy in its arrangement. The owner herself designed the layout, and adds thoughtful touches here and there that connect the whole ensemble. The staff were all highly competent and pleasant. I took a friend here to get a «high-class dining experience» and boy, did we get it. A cheese and pepperoni platter on the house with a constantly filled(and utterly delicious) garlic bread basket are good enough to actually detract from the main course. I got the lasagna(which was to die for; an ENORMOUS serving and the kind of true, clean eating that doesn’t leave you feeling heavy as your tastebuds dance in ecstasy) and a caprese salad(also delectable) and he got the pasta primavera — which, while not to my particular taste, was still very good. The owner was very pleasant to talk to, very personable, and proud of what she’s accomplished. She was very mindful of the diners, even pertaining to the weather conditions they’d be leaving in. I could wax more on how wonderful this place is but you really just need to try it for yourself! I intend VERYMUCH on returning, hopefully to add some wonderful photos to this review! — Chris R.

First, this restaurant sticks out at its location. It is beautifully decorated. I read reviews before going there and was a bit concerned over some negative reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised by our whole experience. I can understand some problems a new establishment might undergo. This place is only nine months old. You feel you are in a great dinning experience as soon as you walk in, the beautiful mahogany doors. The service was good. The owners came and spoke to us. And their signature cupcake for dessert is unreal. Don’t believe the negative stuff… Try this place. Frank F

This place is beautiful. We were seated right away, wait staff were attentive. At our table we ordered lasagna, spaghetti w/meat balls, coconut shrimp, steak. They served garlic bread before our dinners. We also had salad with their house dressing. The sauce was great, steak was cooked as ordered. Their house dressing is very good. Everyone love their meals. They overheard us talk about a birthday and they brought us a cupcake with a candle. The owners were there and it was very nice to speak with them. We will definitely go back the next time we are in town. I didn’t give 5 stars, only because they need to hire more wait staff. The girls worked very hard to keep up.

Some of the best Italian I’ve had in a long while. Very friendly staff, absolutely gorgeous décor, amazing food. Complimentary cheese and pepperoni plate as well as baskets of garlic bread, both fantastic. Great prices. GIANT portions. What a surprising little gem. Decadence in the middle of Zephyrhills, who knew?

DiMaggio’s Restaurant in Zephyrhills, Fl. I was a little leery about going after reading the negative reviews. BUT…it was a WONDERFULDININGEXPERIENCE. Our waitress Lori was attentive and very pleasant. Our food was outstanding. My lasagna could have fed 2 – 3 people… delicious and hot. My husband had the Shrimp Fra Diablo, his favorite that he hadn’t been able to find up here since we moved from Largo. He said it was as good as our old favorite restaurant. Our friends had eggplant parm, and spaghetti and meatballs and they loved their choices as well. The servings are more than generous and the prices are very reasonable. The house salad is a definite recommendation… unusual delicious sweet dressing. Also enjoyed the antipasto of cheese and salami as well as the outstanding garlic bread and olive/balsamic dip that was brought to the table as soon as we sat down. The china, crystal and overall ambiance of the restaurant is such a delight in the small town of Zephyrhills. I hope they continue to enjoy great success!

Went here on 2.25 with my parents. They had tried it for the first time earlier in the week. Everything we had was very good. I had Romans Special(seafood and linguini), but I asked for marinara sauce instead. Delicious! Veal parm. also good. Crab cakes good with a nice sauce. People next to us had grilled salmon. Looked delicious! I asked them if it wax good and they raved about it. Try this place.

I don’t know why people have been so hard on dimaggios in their Unilocal reviews. The food was actually pretty good especially in comparison to the surrounding restaurants in the area. Dimaggios was clean, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. If you’re in the area, I’d say check this place out.

My wife, kids and I thought we would give this restaurant a second chance; they had gone here without me and said it was only okay… we went there for valentines dinner on the13th thinking the service would be better than if we went tonight… Well if we were correct the sweet hearts that end up there are in for a real treat. The place looked great compared to what the old place looked like. Zephyrhills lacks fine dining options and as soon as walk in you get a decent impression. We got seated right away(after being told it would be a 20 wait) at the first table entering the dining room. The sever got there rather quick, we ordered our food and everything was going good. Then I see some guy at the hostess station wipe the floor with a napkin, ball it up in both of his hands and toss it. He then picks up all the menu’s to straighten them up, he needlessly straightens the toothpick dispenser and does something with the candy dish. it seemed he just had to touch everything except hair sanitizer. The waitress comes out and informs me they ran out of lasagna… so I ordered the fettuccine alfredo with children. For the record, our amended order is bruchetta as an appetizer, two salads, two spaghetti dinners and now two fettucini alfredo’s. Nothing complicated. The bruchetta was really good! 40 minutes after we got there we had to ask for our salads. The napkin guy(later I was told he was one of the owners) delivered them(I hoped he had washed his hands and my wife didn’t want me to make a big deal of it even though she couldn’t eat her salad). its valentines day so I comply… Our waitress had disappeared. Our drinks were watered down or empty. 1 hour after we got there or waitress resurfaced with our food. Turns out she hurt her hand somehow. The food was OKAY but for the price… Not worth it. Stouffers would of been equally as tasty. When we were done eating they brought our bill… TOMYWIFE! with the to go containers. The bill still included my lasagna. They fixed it right away and BROUGHTITBACKTOMYWIFE!!! When they picked up our credit card they came back to remove all the dinner plates our salad bowls and appetizer dishes that we had been stacking ourselves. Almost the entire time we were eating our dinner the owner stood two tables away taking about different outfits he likes to wear with some other customer; never asking us how anything was, never telling anyone to pick up the surplus of plates and bowls that we had been stacking on the corner of our table or telling anyone to refresh our beverages. While we were there several ppl had left unhappy and no one tried to make things right. When we were leaving the owner and several other ppl pleasantly told us to have a good night. Since my wife was given the bill i decided to give the tip. We left our waitress a dollar and my wife gave the busgirl a tip(she had been pretty much the only person who provided any kind of service). there isn’t a place in Zephyrhills that could come close to doing this bad at any level!

We usually go to the Abbot station across from this place and we saw it opened 2 months ago and decided we were going to try it. At that time we asked if we could bring our own bottle and they said yes. So, 2 months later we walked in and I was impressed with the décor(for the area) and music was pleasant. We told them we had our own bottle and they said they couldn’t do anything about it because they got the alcohol license now so we were o.k. with that. We didn’t wait to be seated as it was only 2pm and there were only couple of tables occupied. We order the Ana’s «special» soup because our server recommended it; big mistake! We should’ve stick with the fagioli or Italian wedding which I already know. It was too creamy, salty and super heavy. We ordered the lasagna and the famiglia as our entrees. When they brought the food to the table it was cold. We didn’t complain because I don’t like to complain about food so we just preceded it to eat. We had maybe half of our portions. Everything tasted like if they came right from the freezer, to the microwave, and finally made it to the table. When we finished the server came and offered boxes but never dessert, coffee, another glass of wine or anything. I didn’t even have my water refilled!!! It was a painful experience and more painful when my stomach hurt until 3AM! Awful and overpriced food and service. When we got the check we were charged $ 15 for the lasagna instead of $ 12 and $ 19 for the famiglia instead of $ 17. Portions are huge so if you don’t care about quality but quantity then this is your place! Otherwise you will be better going to Carrabba’s or Romano’s Macarroni grill.

The décor is beautiful. But the service and food are not good. Sat for over 10 minutes waiting for someone to take drink order. Chicken was clearly frozen in both entrees.

Visiting family we decided our last night(Friday) here in Zhills we would hit the new Italian place as recommended. Made a reservation at 6:30. Before you sit you need to check out an old menu mount on the wall. Prices back then for before I was born ! Very cool. We were seated not long after our reservation. Place was packed. Not long after you get seated a small plate of antipasta is served for the table. Very nice touch !!! They ran out of plates so we had to eat the cheese and pepperoni with our fingers. The ran out of water glasses so wine glasses were a treat. I hoped to have a nice long casual traditional Italian dinner wit my 6 other family members but service was slow. Mind you the crowds have subsided by now. Salad and soup arrived about 30 min after order. They were excellent. Clams casino had nice flavor but salt was over powering. After another 30 min dinner arrived. Pasta dishes were good but all meat dishes were luke warm. Sent them all back. The came back again luke warm. Ate them anyway as we were very hungry at this time. The food was very good but cold. No coffee or dessert were offered. Bottom line if this place wants to make it. Hot food would be nice and service staff needs to see how it’s done in NY. Nice try. Good effort. Good food. But please get a good expediter and better train your staff. Best of luck. Hope to see better before I return.
