Not only is the service terrible but the food is overpriced, ill-prepared, and gave us food poisoning! My aunt & I ordered a yellow chicken curry, chicken Katsu plate, spam musubi, and milk tea boba. The milk tea boba was very sour and we returned it for a red bean smoothie instead, after some arguing. The musubi was not a proper Spam musubi but merely a small slice of raw Spam on a large hunk of rice — it was a 5:1 rice: Spam ratio. The curry had only about four small pieces of chicken in it, and was mostly sauce and white rice. Finally, the large katsu plate was supposed to come with two scoops of rice but only came with one, and I was asked to pay extra if I wanted more than one small Katsu sauce container. The evening and next day after we ate the meal, both my aunt and I were knocked out by the worst food poisoning of our lives! This restaurant is TERRIBLE!

BBQ mixed plate is my usual and it never disappoints. They give an excessive amount of chicken(the chicken to beef ratio is 2:1) but it’s all very delicious, right down to the cabbage it sits on. The owner is very nice and the staff in general is friendly and attentive. I don’t understand why the rating is so low– this is the most reasonable and best Hawaiian BBQ joint in Yuma.

I have been here a few times. Today I ordered the Kalua pork. It was juicy but a bit too salty for me. The rice was fluffy and fresh. The macaroni was ehh. The menu reads like a Hawaiian place from 10 years ago when it become popular. I do like some oldies but goodies but also love variety. I think It was a better value I would have given one more star. They don’t have wifi anymore. The place is clean. The drink size is tiny. The staff is knowledgable and friendly. I get the feeling this place survives due to its location. If you are going to a movie and have a taste for something from the aloha state then stop in and use BWW’s wifi.

I wish I could give this 0 stars. I’m honestly not one to give bad reviews, probably because I’m easy to please but this was probably the worst establishment I’ve ever been to. I stopped in here and I ordered the thai tea bobba tea(which is my go to bobba tea flavor at other places) which tasted like tap water and regular tea. I told the owner, and asked if I could try something else instead. She flat out told me no and wouldn’t give me a refund either because she told me that it would be wasteful and that’s not her policy. She apparently cared more about her profits than her customers which is shameful, and this is coming from a fellow restaurant owner. I just found her over all behavior so odd. The entire time she was rude and it was the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in my life. She didn’t only lose me as a customer but my friends and family who live there as well. And all because she was too cheap over what was a 40 cent tea bag, not the smartest business owner.

There are a few times in life when a meal is so expertly crafted and planned that it turns out genius — for me this is always their Chicken Katsu. they make it fresh, extra crispy and moist inside the panko coating, served alongside is the island style Katsu sauce that is to die for(seriously grab some extra) it’s so sweet and spicy at the same time but not too spicy just the perfect amount. The rice is always perfectly steamed and the macaroni salad is creamy and never mushy. I come here almost every weekend and it’s my favorite kind of food. Two thumbs up!

It’s island food and it filled me up! If your hungry bring a snack because orders get real slow when it gets packed with four people.

Well, where do I start? My wife and I stopped here last week and much to our surprise it wasn’t as great as everyone says it is. Very small restaurant and the décor has seen better days. A older man(Seems like the owner) took our order was a bit overplaying the customer service but otherwise very kind man. The food all seemed to be frozen not at all fresh. The rice was OK and the macaroni salad tasted only like mayonnaise. The meat and sides needed more flavor desperately. The spam musubi had way too much rice or if it would had been wrapped around the spam, it would have been better. The spring rolls and the dumplings wasn’t fresh, like from the store bought variety. I doubt that I will be coming back again.

Ordered the beef bowl and it was pretty good but swimming in terryaki sauce. Maybe ask for light sauce next time…

I’ve always been curious to try the food here. I finally got some takeout this week, and I was surprised to find that this place is up to par with other places I’ve tried in SoCal. The macaroni salad was creamy, and the chicken katsu was crispy and plentiful. I even had leftovers for the next day. I’ll definitely be back whenever my Hawaiian BBQ craving strikes again.

Amazing. Everything turned out perfect. The macaroni salad was excellent and not mushy, the chicken katsu is by far my favorite dish, and the masubi. Words cannot describe just how great the food is here. And they are open on Sundays.

Ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl and the chicken katsu plate. The teriyaki bowl was so drenched in teriyaki sauce that we could eat it. And the chicken katsu plate had almost no chicken in it. Gave it 2 stars because the fries were decent

Me and my family absolutely love it here! ! We always come before we go to the movies. They also are the only place in town where I can get boba tea drinks which are my favorite! The employees are very polite and happy every time we come. Its a must go when you come to the Yuma Palms.

Tasty Hawaiian style BBQ, the beef is really good, Mac salad was on point and rice was perfect. Tried the laulau cause I miss it and it was ok, of course nothing beats the real fresh«kine» but none the less very ‘ono. Thy do have a variety of other foods like boba tea and musubi. Very nice dinner, clean bathroom and super friendly customer service! We will definitely be coming back again.

I have never had Hawaiian BBQ before so I have nothing to compare it with. I had the bbq short ribs and mocha bubble tea. The short ribs were tasty and tender and I loved the tea. My husband had the combo plate with chicken, sliced beef and short ribs. His was also very tasty. The rice was nice and sticky and I licked the mac salad. They let me try the bbq shredded pork which was also good. I liked it and I haven’t liked many places in Yuma. Tender flavorful meat. I would definitely eat here again. We were served promptly, the guy taking the orders was nice and the place was clean.

this place felt like an L&L when I walked in. made me feel like I was at home even though I’m thousands of miles away. their menu had the basic hawaiian stuff. i got bbq chicken which was really good! I was sad they don’t serve poi. they do have kauai kookies and hawaiian sun, though. service was ok, wasn’t overly friendly or anything but, whatevs. if I’m back in Yuma I’m definitely hitting this place up.

Nothing compares to the real thing… The Kalua pork, Katsu chicken, and mac salad are good here. The Boba drinks are pretty good, and I love their Hawaiian Sun selection, but it’s just not the same as it is back home. I could easily buy frozen Manapua, and just heat it up at home instead of purchasing it here, the same with Laulau. I definitely agree with a lot of you, L&L is much better even here, on the mainland. I guess the rumor was that Hawaiian BBQ was supposed to be an L&L, but could never reach the chain’s standards to achieve the title. Wish they would play Hawaiian movies on the big screen TV though, would definitely give it more of a Hawaiian feel, or they could even play some Hawaiian music, as alot of L&L’s do in Cali.
