Absolutely horrible service. To start off we had a huge family get together of 12+ and they forgot to hold our reservation. We waited 40 minutes until we were all able to get seated. The hostess did not greet us or say thanks as we left. She just stayed on her phone as we all walked out, didn’t bother to look up at any point. I guess you get what you pay for in Yuma. Servers were just about as bad. Food was to salty. We should’ve went to El Charro.

Very clean and friendly place to eat great Mexican food, the staff treats you with open arms, food has many great flavors, my personal favorite are the shrimp tacos with flour tortilla, some of the best I’ve had, and that’s coming from California, where we got some great Mexican food… There happy hour is also great… Every time I come to Yuma Arizona, I must stop here to have those great shrimp tacos

We ate here 2÷19÷2016. It was packed on a Friday night. The hostess filling tables didn’t seem like she knew what she was doing. We waited about 15 minutes outside. She seated us, two tables of 8 – 10 people, and another table of 6 all within a few minutes. We were not in a hurry, but it was obvious that this overloaded our waitress. She was running around like a chicken with her head cut off, but did ok under the circumstances. Other tables seemed to be upset about the slow service. Food wise, the chips and salsa were good, but the salsa is a little on the runny side. Thicken it up, because the flavor was good. I give Chretin’s the 4 stars for the Chickichorizo Burro meal. It was large and very tasty! It made the meal worth the wait and I’d return again when in Yuma.

Just arrived in Yuma and came across this restaurant. Staff were friendly and our server Dana did a great job. Chips and salsa were good but I have had much better chicken chimichangas and guacamole. Will try a different place next time I want Mexican food.

Too slow. We stopped off for lunch as we travelled We were a bit leery due to reviews, but ready for Mexican food. The hostess seated us and we waited for about 10 minutes before being acknowledged then drinks were brought(mine was a tea rather than water as requested). after at least ten more minutes with no service we paid and left. We weren’t there for a leisurely lunch and the unusually slow service for a Mexican restaurant did not meet our expectations. Service was well below with us waiting as servers sat and laughed. Chips and salsa were fine

You have got to be kidding me. I ordered a skinny margarita and it tasted like straight lime juice and water. Sent it back and got a beer. I ordered 2 chicken enchiladas on flour tortillas with green sauce and it came out looking like 2 rolled tacos and the green sauce was basically gravy. It tasted like straight ass. Never EVER will I come back to this place. It is absolutely terrible.

Visited this restaurant on NYE Eve day. Staff was nice though service was slow and they were not overly busy. Food was subpar. Ordered the Chimichanga burrito which came out wet which is odd. Sauce had a funny taste to it. Guacamole was«ok» not great. I had an upset stomach for the next few hours after eating lunch here. The rest of the party agreed that the food was not very good either. I would avoid this place.

Well this place was a bit of a let down. I enjoyed the décor and that’s about it. It’s cute but not cute enough. We met up with some family and sat down with them. Our drink order was taken promptly, and brought to us within 5 minutes. But when we ordered, that was the last we saw of our waitress for 40 – 50 minutes. The next time we saw her was when the food FINALLY came. The food was subpar to begin with and was clearly either reheated or microwaved. It wasn’t even that busy. And they charged us extra for eggs in the chorizo huevos burrito, and made two things we ordered into plates and charged us more. On top of the two LARGE dirty tables full of dirty dishes that never got cleared the entire time we were there. Our waters and soda never got topped off or refilled or tended to. It was pretty disappointing considering the reviews and how nice the place looks. If you go here, except subpar food, subpar service and a long wait!

Came here for the first time with my husband last night. The place wasn’t too busy, maybe half-full, yet our food took a while to arrive, even though it was already precooked. I ordered a carnitas plate and my husband had a Sonoran hotdog. The meat on my plate came extremely dry. It looked and tasted like beef jerky rather than carnitas. It looked like it was prepared the day before. My husband’s Sonoran dog was ok at best. The bread was stale and tasted like it was microwaved. And the only topping it had was grilled onions. Our server was nice, no complaints there, but the food was a complete disappointment, especially for a restaurant that’s been around since 1940s. It may have been an off night for them, but we will not be back to find out.

This place is super solid we stop here on out way to Arizona. They allow dogs on the outside patio so that’s nice. Everything we ordered was good. Yum yum yum

If you are ever in Yuma, lost, or there on purpose, stop by this place. I’m Puerto Rican, so by no means am I an expert on Mexican food, I know great service and great food. The service was fantastic just like all the other reviewers mentioned so I agree 100% with them. But the highlight, was that chimicanga with machaca beef! I would eat this twice a week if I lived in AZ, and I’m not kidding. I’d be dead after a month or 2, cholestorol or something like that, but you would bury me with a smile!

They have a great lunch buffet for $ 9.99. It’s fantastic assuming you like the select items the have to choose from. Albondgas, vegetable, pozole are the soups. All fantastic. They have awesome green chili stew. I didn’t try the chicken fajitas they looked great though. They have enchiladas but be careful because the tray is crazy hot. They have beans that a creamy and the Mexican rice they have is fantastic. They also have chimichangas and rolled tacos along with all of the fresh tortillas. They also have salad and other stuff like onions and olives and cheese and things to make a salad to start as well. This is A very tasty and great value lunch if your hungry and want some good Mexican food. Service was great. Parking is easy. No wifi.

We stopped here while traveling with the dogs, sat on the patio. The server was great, brought a water bowl for them right away. Our food was delicious(the chimichanga was !!!), hot, and well presented. This is a new favorite when passing through Yuma.

Ok food and great service. Margaritas were way to small. I am over it. Quite average for Arizona.

AVERAGE! Totally«americanized», bland. If you’re in to that sort of thing you should like it. Overall, edible but not for me.

We started with the guacamole that ended up being a very large portion, definitely worth the $ 7.00. It’s made at your table with your choice of ingredients so it’s exactly how you want it. DELICIOUS! I ordered a cup of albondigas which ended up being a very very small portion. It was tasty but only had 1 small meatball, a few potato quarters, and some broth… The hubs got a few tacos with beans and rice. He liked the sides but the tacos were bland and very plain, even with the salsa. You can find better tacos at a taco truck for a fraction if the price…
