So I’ve heard from many people not to eat here because it’s made them sick, but decided to find out myself. I use to love the burritos they served when I was in high school so went there and ordered a carne asda burrito. First off the service was sub par, the place wasn’t even that busy but the servers were more interested in there gossip then helping me with my order. I got the food which was ok, but then later that night I started vomiting. Every other hour. Finally went to urgent care in Yucaipa, and was diagnosed with a severe case of food poisoning. Being that the only other thing I ate that day was my bananas and oranges that I always eat, 12 hrs prior to that burrito I’m sure it was caused by the burrito. Will never eat from there again and will advise everyone to stay away from there

I ordered the daily special with a taco and bean burrito with add lettuce(additional $.69 cent charge). My taco came with a completely broken shell, I guess that’s why they gave me a fork so I could eat it like a salad. And the bland burrito did not have the lettuce I paid extra for. When I complained, all the employee said was sorry. Do these places not realize we have lots of restaurants to choose from? I do not go back a second time to a place I receive poor service.

I had tamales over the holidays and thought they were very delicious. I was very impressed with the amount of meat used and the size. Will definitely reorder when needed.

Love their chips and salsa but that’s about it haha I have tried a few times to like their food but it just doesn’t even come close to rosies. But I will say cucas wins on chips and salsa.

I’ve been frequenting this location since we moved to Yucaipa about 6yrs ago. Pros: it depends, but you can get really good food. Their menudo is decent as well as their burritos and salads. Taquitos are very good. Interior is nice and clean. Cons: be prepared for a long wait in the drive through. Allow yourself 10−20min. Inconsistency with their cooking: I actually bought menudo today and two burgers with fried for my kids. The menudo was COLD and the burgers were old, like they were rewarmed up. I warmed the menudo up on my stove to where it was boiling, but it still tasted okay. My kids didn’t touch their burgers. Only the fries were hot. $ 17 for 2 small burgers, 2 small fries, and menudo? It’s a tad pricey as well. I have found hair in my burritos on more than one occasion– so I always open them to make sure. Defiantly a 1 – 2 star establishment.

$ 5.55 for a bean/rice/cheese burrito with extra cheese??? Haven’t been here in about a year or so but dang, I didn’t expect their prices to jump that high for common staple ingredients. Ridiculous. My family and I won’t be back. Price gouging is not a very good selling point. Maybe if they had a Public Relations person actually checking up on customer reviews there would be change, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon!

This place is mediocre at best. The food was over priced for what it was. I could have spent the same amount at del taco and got more for my buck. The taco shell for my ground beef taco was store bought and the taco itself was mostly lettuce. For as long As I waited for my food, I was expecting something with more Mexican identity. I can tell I am in Yucaipa when I eat here. Bland and not good. I would not recommend. Should have went to Del Taco.

AVOIDTHISRESTAURANT! Went through the drive thru on 08÷14÷15 My order consisted of the following Carne Asada Burrito $ 6.98 Large Fry $ 2.99 Kids Bean, Rice and Cheese. $ 2.19 Total $ 12.16 before tax They told me they would have my total at the window. After a 5 minute wait he proceeded to tell my total amount due was $ 21.76! I asked for what? Can you please explain these charges before I pay? The gentleman at the window did not want to explain and asked me twice if I was«good with the amount due» I told him absolutely not. Cuca’s has always been on my go-to list for some fast, yummy, and filling food. Not the best atmosphere for hanging out as it’s usually really empty, and the bathrooms aren’t great, but otherwise it’s pretty cleanly and the service is fast and friendly. Price range is reasonable. They sell some bottled sodas and juices as well as Rockstar energy drinks, no Coca-Cola products though, only Pepsi.

The carne asada burrito was pretty good but it was overpriced. I ordered that and a medium iced tea and my bill was right around $ 10. It wasn’t even a huge burrito. I can find better for less money.

I’ve been eating here for years, and the food is pretty good. I usually get the carne asada fries with lots of add ons, or the chicken taquito plate. I’ve also had the chicken quesadilla and carne asada burrito. Here’s the thing: sometimes the food tastes really good, and sometimes it’s only so so. I think it depends on the cook, and you never know what you’re going to get. Another issue is that they’re kind of expensive. The taquito plate is just under $ 9.00, and it seems like a couple of dollars too much.

Drive thru takes a really long time. For the food they serve, it’s so over priced. Better salsa than Rosie’s, but they have nothing on their food.

Can’t say enough about the food here! My favorite is the taquito plate. It has 3 taquitos, rice and beans. I get the chicken. It is the freshest taquitos you can get anywhere! The chicken is white meat and super fresh. Get the green salsa! It is a tomatillo salsa and is delish! I eat there at least 2 times a week as it is across the street from work. Family owned and operated. Workers are super sweet and make suggestions on their food if you need it. Have never suggested anything I wouldn’t order again!

I ordered two shredded beef tacos and my better half ordered cheese enchiladas. We both got in the car and were racing home to use the restroom. My stomach was cramping extremely bad. We both got completely different items and were both horribly sick the rest of the evening. We will not be back.

If you order the 3 taquito plate have them count the damn taquitos! Apparently they don’t know the difference between 2&3 but they’ll sure as he’ll charge you for 3.

I just had my first dining experience here. Based on the authentic-tasting Mexican food served at other Cuca’s, I thought it was a safe bet to eat here. And, I was not disappointed. The fresh-looking, woodsy, and well-lit interior of this restaurant was comfortable and inviting. The order taker was friendly, and I was quite satisfied with my food after it quickly arrived. My friend ordered a «lightly cooked» Chicken Taco, and was pleased with the flexibility of its shell. I, in turn, enjoyed my still pliable Shredded Beef Taco with a fully cooked deep-fried Corn Tortilla shell, mounds of cheese, ample pieces of tomatoes, fresh lettuce, and added guacamole; along with a rather yummy and belly-filling Bean & Cheese Burrito that had a nice balance to it between the two main ingredients, enhanced by hand-applied dabs of spirited homemade hot sauce. The only criticism I have is that the shredded beef in my taco was a bit soggy. 4−½ stars overall!

Cuca’s is but one of several Mexican restaurants located in Yucaipa that offers decent food at a decent price. Started in 1989, the first Cuca’s location opened up in Redlands and has slowly spread over the years to other parts of the Inland Empire such as Loma Linda and Mentone, but the Redlands location is the one I prefer more. Cuca’s isn’t exactly 100% authentic, but if your hungry and are in the mood it will certainly do the trick. This particular one offers sit down table and booth seating in a very nice interior. They also have a drive thru at this location but it’s always so incredibly slow and tedious that you’d actually be saving yourself more time if you simply ordered inside instead. Great values include their Daily Special combo for $ 5.49 that comes w/ur choice of two items and a drink. They also offer day of the week special items for only $ 1 such as mini bean and cheese burritos, quesadillas, cheeseburgers, and egg and cheese taco. Yes, this particular location is also open early for breakfast and offers a special breakfast menu. All the Cuca’s locations also offer a basic hamburger, cheeseburger, and fries. This should b obvious, but do not order a hamburger at a restaurant that caters specifically to Mexican food. I mean 99% of their menu is Mexican food. It’s not even anything fancy or relevant like a taco burger; it’s just a plain hamburger/cheeseburger. I know it’s only $ 1 on Wednesdays, but the burgers are so bland and horrible. The Mexican food here is way better. Yes, order Mexican food at a Mexican restaurant. Seems legit. Like I said before, the food here isn’t completely authentic but it’s not bad for what it is. I’ve had their various tacos, burritos, and tacquitos here and while not absolutely fantastic all have been acceptable. Prices are good and service is fair. There are other choices in town for Mexican food for sure, but in my opinion Cuca’s is not a bad one.
