As you can see by reviews they are all similar. They need to work on customer service skills, and they need to keep it cleaner, about two times I’ve seen ants and other things crawling around while i am eating. Also they charge 2 more dollars for taking your food 2go. No big deal until one of your friends doesn’t take theirs togo and they are eyeing you making sure you don’t put theirs in there. But the food is okay, I’ve heard people say they prefer the drive to chico when they are craving Mongolian, to «Hulas».

Edsel Ford Fong lives. Positive reviews all seem to be from long-time regulars. I’m glad they enjoy. Waitress was rude on our first(and last) visit; selection of sauces was uninspired; sauce spoon handles were bent like pretzels and sticky. If you’ve been eating here for a while you’re probably not reading this. If you haven’t… do yourself a favor and find someplace more welcoming with better food. Hint: Taste of China Super Buffet, straight across the street, features better Mongolian BBQ along with a lot of other dishes, including a pretty good hot & sour soup.

My husband and I have been coming here since before our son was born(and then twice a week while I was pregnant with him because THIS is what I craved my whole pregnancy). Our son is now 2 and we come as often as we can afford it. The food is excellent, the staff knows our names and always is so wonderfully friendly. They’re very good with kids and it’s a great place to come as a family. We once accidentally forgot our debit card on our dining room table and had to drive home to get it and come back to pay our tab, and they were so nice about it, made us feel at least a little less embarrassed. Good service, excellent food, and a staple restaurant for our family.

My family and I absolutely love this place. We have been coming for 24 years, and will continue to come when they move. We have never in all these years seen roaches or beetles as some of the one star reviews mention. I enjoy the fact that I am my own chef, too. Too greasy? Don’t put so much oil in. If you complain about your food, remember, you made it. The cook only cooks what you put in the bowl. Happy eating!

This place in dire need of repair if not updating and has been like this for years. Tables broken, Seats torn, floor dirty. General state is poor. Food is not fresh but frozen.

I absolutely hate giving this place a 1 star because I really enjoy their food. However, after tonight’s experience I will not be returning. A friend and I went for a late dinner and after we’d gotten our food we had a roach crawl across the back of our booth. After squishing him we informed our waitress who acted like it was no big deal. Silly us for it ruining our appetites. Paid almost $ 30 to eat maybe 3 bites of our food. No thank you.

I have no idea how this place has positive reviews. I’ve been to Mongolian BBQ all over. Sacramento, Roseville etc. So of course I was excited to finally try this place since I live out here. Yes the location is crap and the place in worn and dirty. That doesn’t matter to me if the food is great. However the first drink I had of the water tasted like mold. Strong mold. I work with food and ice machines and I know how that can be possible in ice makers which means they probably have never cleaned it. it tasted so awful. So I get an ice tea instead thinking it was maybe just the water and the same thing happened… tasted like mold. obviously the ice. The food was just ok. I didn’t care for it but thought if I take it togo maybe my husband would eat the rest because he eats anything. When I asked for a togo container I was told it would be a $ 2 up charge to take it. Umm no Mongolian has ever charged me money to take the food home that I already paid $ 9 for. This is not an all you can eat buffet. Such a rip off to be charged $ 11 for a lunch bowl that you don’t even like. Especially since earlier this week I went to a Mongolian BBQ in the rocklin area and I was charged $ 7.35 for amazing food AND took the rest togo. If I complained I’m sure it would’ve been my fault for how it tasted since I prepared it myself. It wasn’t the combination of food that was bad, it was the quality of what was in my bowl. Never again will I go back here or recommend this place to anyone. I left feeling screwed over and really upset. I will now drive 45 minutes to Roseville to eat Mongolian BBQ.

Really good spot!!! Clean, great service, a ton of options for your Mongolian plate. I’m very skeptical of Mongolian places because I only like very few of them. But this one is good! My only suggestion is to add a lot of sauce if you love flavor :-)

Like many others have stated: This place is beat up, depressed looking, and nothing fancy. But overall, you get what you came for some hot food and a place to eat it at! I recently started going here, and I just read previous 1 star reviews. I will say the food bar is always clean(if it’s dirty it’s usually b/c of whoever is in front of you in line slid their bowl in the sauce they spilled), veggies always seem fresh(choice is slim if you come after the lunch rush, average 11 veggie choices, they alternate), and I have yet to see any cockroaches or hair in the food. I will say I have not used their restrooms yet. The service is pleasant enough, some waitresses are more friendly than others, but they seat us quickly and come prepared with drinks and refills and appetizers. I’m guessing a owner, maybe wife?, asked us how our meal was and teased my bf for eating one bowl, since I downed 2! I even saw a waitress RUN out the door to give someone their leftovers they forgot, I hate when I do that to myself But what’s awesome about this place is if you don’t like your food… it’s kinda on you because you apply your own choice of sauce. Some people say it’s diluted? I DONTTHINKSO. Keep in mind each ladle is probably less than 4oz. to hold sauce. Also, you don’t have to wait 20 min for your food to come out, you just watch it cook under 5 min. The place could use a little makeover to become more welcoming, but to be honest I’m content with the food on its own! I will say the appetizers are not something I look forward for. Fried rice is fried rice, won tons are not piping hot, if fresh, nor filled with cream cheese or anything, and the sesame rolls(which I do like) is really just rolled up dough with sesame seeds, basically bread, and everyone likes carbs. Bottom line: GOODPRICES, GOODFOOD, GOODSERVICE. Really casually and quick place for lunch, if you’re tight on time.

This was pretty good. Couldn’t have asked for anything different. Pro tip — Put the rice in the bowl first. They will look at you funny, but its really good tasting.

I wish I could give them a million stars. The customer service is great, they remember my name, they remember that I like chopsticks. The food is always fresh and the prices are fantastic. I will continue to eat here as long as they stay open. The day they close will be a very sad day!

I’ve tried many Mongolian BBQ restaurant this is by far the best. The place is kind of run down but the food and staff are great. When marinating your bowl here is a tip double the sauce recipe. I usually do 4 Mongolian bbq sause, one sesame oil, three sugar, one wine oil, and lots of garlic(two full scoup) Most people complain about the bland taste, I would agree but like all Mongolian BBQ places you’ll have to know what you are doing. Also ask the cook not to dilute your dish too much with water when cooking. The price for lunch and dinner are great. The staff are always welcoming and nice. Highly recommend this place. Probably by far one of the best place to eat in yuba city.

This restaurant seems have become less value for your dollar. Originally I would have given it 4 stars. Lunch used to be 2 bowls(one original and one refill) for $ 6.99. Now its only one bowl. There used to be unlimited won-tons and now its one small spring roll. Additional spring rolls are $ 1.50 each. The meat is more fatty, especially the pork. The veggie selection has gone down as well, two empty bins and two bins of cabbage. No mushrooms or broccoli. Both veggies and meat are thicker cut, which makes it harder to fit in the bowl. The udon noodles were swimming in oil. The peanuts and pineapple are now kept behind the counter and you have to ask for them. My fiancé didn’t feel well after he got his bowl and asked to take his food to go. It shouldn’t be a big deal since lunch is a one bowl deal. We had to push for a togo box and then they charged us $ 1. Seemed like a jerk move since he ordered a $ 2 soda that he couldn’t drink. I haven’t been to dinner here in a while, hopefully these changes haven’t occurred then as well. If so, I might have to cross this restaurant off my list. It would be a shame since there aren’t any other good places for Mongolian BBQ in Yuba,

One of my all time favorite places to eat. I’ve been coming here for over 20 years, I’ve spent a few of my birthdays here. The management are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet and the food is always great. you can’t get a fresher meal than Mongolian BBQ. The variety of meats and veggies and sauses is huge. you can try so many combos of dishes that you never eat the same thing twice. Or, like me, you find what you really love and stick with it. Oh, and did I mention the sesame rolls? Mmmmm… I hope to still be coming to the Mongolian BBQ for another 20 years, and 20 more after that!

Mongolian BBQ is special and wonderful. I live in San Francisco and make sure to stop back here whenever I come home. They have a great selection of meat and veggies, and are extremely friendly. The line can sometimes be long, but it’s only a testament to how awesome it is.
