Had my watch battery and necklace repaired here. Friendly, reasonably priced and great work. I’ll be back for more repairs/custom rings for sure! Support local businesses!

The people at Old Towne are some of the friendliest people you’ll meet today. They are kind of like the old neighbors we used to know when we were kids. Because of that they have customers coming in and out with new merchandise all day, every day. Great selection of coins at great prices. The prices seem to get better as they get to know you too. The small shop is located in Depot Town, an old part of Ypsi with a couple of good bars and restaurants too. Dan

As one who wears a fully modern quartz wrist-watch, there comes a time when you have to replace the batteries, or end up being late for a date. Face it when you promise to pickup your girlfriend at 8:00 p.m. for a dinner and movie, then honk the horn for her to come out three hours late, chances are the fur is going to fly. In this day and age, having a watch die on you is not a valid excuse to be late for any event. The staff at Olde Towne Coin & Gold are not only super friendly and treat you like family, they will go the extra mile when it comes to making sure your completely satisfied. I have taken several watches to Olde Towne to have the movement repaired, or just a simple battery replaced. Additionally, their prices are very cheap compared to other nearby jewelry stores. One place in Ann Arbor wanted to charge me $ 15.00 for a simple battery replacement, while Olde Towne only wanted $ 4.00. This is the place I always think of when it comes to having my watches worked on.

I had a great experience at this store. The staff was very helpful and happy to work with me. I had a ring modified by them and also bought a diamond. The value was great compared to what you would get at a mall jewelry shop. It’s a little bit of an odd looking place with the coin department on one side and how the store has an outdated feel to it. But it somehow fits nicely into Depot Town. I’d shop there again.
