Visiting Ann Arbor and decided to cone into Ypsilanti to check out the area. Found this place to eat and from the moment we walked in our experience was wonderful. An older building with a bar and restaurant feel to it. They had a pizza buffet or full menu for lunch. We had their feta cheese bread, cobb salad, and bacon avacado grilled cheese. All of the food was amazing! The food was cooked to perfection and so fresh. We also tried their cucumber Margarita and white strawberry sangria, which took a little long to come out, but each drink was worth the wait. As a whole, the environment was laid back and the service was excellent.

What a let down. Ordered a large garden salad to share and the Margherita Pizza(added chicken), and two bud light drafts for $ 45.00. The salad was not large enough for two people– it wasn’t listed on the menu but the waitress assured us it would not be a problem to whip some lettuce and croutons together. It was served on a small plate with one fork, I think we each counted two bites for our salad portions. The pizza had zero chicken on it although we paid the upcharge to have it added. The cherry tomatoes really made a mess of this pizza, and it was a soggy ass mess. Too much balsamic vinegar on top. We were eager for a nice«sit down» pizza experience and definitely did not experience that here. Also, we waited 20 minutes for someone to get our ice water, another 15 for our beers and the place was completely dead on a Sunday afternoon. Never again.

Outdoor seating area is nice, as long as you manage to dodge smells from the crabby homeless people pacing back and forth and the smokers. Their Happy Hour is okay for drink specials. If there were food specials, the waitress didn’t bother to mention it. Some drink specials are a good value if you like the cheap draft beer, otherwise, not worth it. Their ‘premier wines’ are $ 6. If Oyster Bay Sauv Blanc is premier at $ 6 per glass on special, tells me they are overpriced. You can get Oyster Bay at a well-stocked gas station for $ 12. Then there was the salad… I ordered the watermelon beet salad; which in its name would have you believe that the salad was mostly watermelon and beets, and not just an accent to the dish. Instead, it was a pile of quinoa, cauliflower and feta with arugula, garnished with the title ingredients on the side of the plate. It all fit together nicely, but I was left wanting for watermelon and beets, as the name implies. For $ 10.99 for a pile of mostly quinoa, again, overpriced for what was served. The server was sweet, and attentive, but I’ll be more proactive and ask about the happy hour food specials next time.

Aubree’s pizza is absolutely delicious. They have a wide range of pizza options that will cater to many. For the VEGETARIANS, try the Tuscan pizza! The pizza features spinach, artichoke which give it a great flavor. They offer beer and have a bar if you don’t want to sit at a table. The servers are good and the atmosphere is great for a sports fan. They have multiple Tvs that broadcast multiple games.

Aubree’s is truly an Ypsi institution. Besides providing a fun and friendly atmosphere for the EMU community, Aubree’s also makes the city’s best pizza. The pizza here is really good. They cover that puppy with a satisfying amount of cheese sauce and toppings — they never skimp on anything here. I’m usually not a crust guy, however when you get their butter cheese crust, you’ll experience carb overload because the taste experience is truly magnificent. The bar has a nice old school feel. Downstairs at the stools you’ll find a nice mix of EMU people as well as Ypsilanti locals. You’ll get bikers, students, and on one day I came, I saw a man pick up a married woman. They left the bar, came back 15 minutes later and that dude came back with a smile and bought a few of us beers. Speaking of beers, their beer of the month program will always bring me in. Cheap huge beers is always a crowd pleaser, what can I say. Upstairs is Sticks. It’s got the same stuff as downstairs but has games like pool and darts and the occasional trivia night as well as plenty of televisions(they have them downstairs too) In the warmer times, there’s a little tiki bar out back. I must say, I do really enjoy how nice and chill it is back there. Just a bunch of people hanging out and enjoying good drinks and company together. Blissfully nice. For a pizza place, Aubree’s really has good soups and chili. The soups change often, but I’ve never had a bad one. Their burgers are really good, I like the Detroiter with ham on top. Good sandwiches as well. I also enjoy their Pasta Gone Bayou. Some places offer a cajun pasta that lacks flavor while others give you«too much cajun». They do it perfectly here! I also am a huge fan of their brussels spouts. They are sauteed nicely and comes equipped with a plethora of bacon mixed in. Service and staff always on top of it as well. I will definitely be going back for their food as well as those Beers of the Month. PS — as an added bonus, they have Faygo in a glass bottle upstairs for washing down all the tasty treats!

My girlfriend moved to Ann Arbor 40 years ago and this year we are going to go to all the bars and restaurants in the Ann Arbor/Ypsi area who have been here 40 years. They still have trivia and there is always competition. They also have good beer specials that seem to last all month. She got a salad I got the pasta special which was really good and really big, I think I took half of it home. Our waitress very attentive and always seemed to be there when we needed something. Another place you’ll see me again. See you there.

After our fiasco of a missed up order the manager responded and was very considerate. I will try Aubree’s again in the future. It’s always nice to see restaurants caring about their customers.

Ordered three personal pizzas and the feta bread. Everything was great. Our waitress Kate was really on top of things. Next time we’re back in town we’ll be heading to Aubree’s.

I have been to Aubrees and Sticks numerous times. The food is good although I have tried a limited amount of food. The cheese bread and pizza sticks. They have good drink specials on occasion. Service tonight I waited 15 minutes and approached with a «what would you like to drink», Id love to know what the hell took you so long to get over here. Claimed to be only one on floor but the floor wasnt busy and chatting shouldnt be in the middle of my wait girl with dark curly hair, bangs and boobs always out Service is off and on. Food has always been good for what I have tried. Pick and choose I guess

If you’re looking for a good selection of beers… this isn’t your spot. The beer section is pretty lame. That being said I enjoyed myself here. I spent my time upstairs at the portion of the establishment they refer to as Sticks. As the name indicated there is pool. Not a swimming pool, that would be odd. Rather the game. Along with pool they have lots of other fun activities such as shuffle board. The people who worked here were nice. We enjoyed ourselves. And the happy hour was pretty cheap. If you’re looking to play some games and have some cheap beers, this isn’t too bad of an option.

I went to the upstairs bar for a class reunion last weekend. The waitress came to me at the table and I ordered a Diet Coke. I’m not a heavy drinker so when we got up to play shuffle board I wasn’t ordering drinks with the rest of the party. After about two hours she came to our table and I asked if she could bring me back water with the next round of drinks for my guests. She forgot the water. SEVEN more times I asked her for water and she never brought it to me. She then began ignoring me every time she came to the table. Later I wanted a drink so I went up to the bar and ordered it. The bartender was really nice so I gave her a very generous tip. Twenty minutes later the waitress who wanted nothing to do with me all night comes over and tells me that it was rude for me to order at the bar when she had been«serving me all night». What a joke!

Service was fine. Atmosphere was casual with an upbeat downtown feel. But I was disappointed by the food. Everything looked better than it tasted. The ranch dressing tasted like Gordon’s. The breadsticks looked great but were overly airy and, despite looking like it was buttered and herby, it just didn’t have much taste. And the pizza was very bland. It all just tasted like food. The pizza was cooked well and looked good, but when you popped it in your mouth it was«meh.» We didn’t try anything else on the menu other than the pizza and breadsticks. Saying such, I have no desire to.

Super easy to special order the food. I’m allergic to dairy and they made all our food to order and the flavors were amazing! Gotta order the Brussels sprouts and bacon no dairy and their pizza– delish!

Fairly disappointed in this trip to Aubree’s. The beer wasn’t cold, the table was sticky, and the plates that were left on the table to be used for appetizer’s were dirty. The burger was good although I ordered it cooked medium and it was well done. They have started serving the burgers in wire baskets which explains why the table was sticky. Service was sort of slow. Going to try the Whittaker road location next time.

I’ve been here a handful of times over the years and have gotten to sample a good variety of their pizzas. We usually sit upstairs which is known as Sticks where it comes up to a larger room with another bar and pool tables. It has a classic bar feel. The waitresses are generally helpful, providing good service. I was here yesterday with some co-workers for a graduation celebration. We ordered four pizzas: the chicken herb, the BBQ chicken, and two Margherita pizzas. All three flavors were good. The chicken herb was nice and savory. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The feta, five cheese blend, fresh basil, and roasted red peppers strike a perfect balance. I LOVEBBQ sauce so this one was an easy favorite. I mean, come on, how can you really go wrong with the combination of their house frog BBQ sauce and bacon. Bacon and BBQ sauce are a match made in nirvana in my book. I don’t like red onions so I picked those off but I thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the pizza. I was also pleasantly surprised by the Margherita pizza. I don’t usually care for Margherita pizzas. I’m not sure if they’re just too plain for me or what but I really like the addition of the balsamic vinegar. It takes it to another level. So, all in all, I enjoyed my pizzas there like I usually do. It’s not my absolute favorite pizza in the area(NeoPapalis and Marco’s BBQ chicken pizza currently hold that spot in my heart) but it’s definitely good pizza and a Depot staple.

My wife and I were down at the Ypsilanti Heritage Festival and got hungry, so decided on Aubrees. We got there at the perfect time and was able to snag a table outside. The waitress was fast and quickly got us some drinks and appetizer order. We ordered the Aubree Bread for an appetizer and was surprised as it came with quite a few breadstix and pizza sauce and ranch. The bread had some nice seasoning on it and it was nice, warm and good… I got the Bourbon BBQ Chicken Sandwich and Cajun steak fries as my main dish. The Bourbon BBQ sauce was very tasty and the Chicken was nice, tender and perfectly cooked. The fries were ok, just wish the we’re a bit more crisp. My wife ordered the Spicy Italian Wrap with fries and really liked it. Good food, great atmosphere and quick service. What more could. you ask for? :)

So after hearing much love for this place around the work place, I convinced coworkers to finally take me to this buffet gem. To be real, it really should just be a cheesy bread buffet =D Cheesy bread is classically great, buttery, cheesy, bready… more made up words to imply deliciousness. There were about 6 types of pizza. None of them completely rocked my socks, but they were pretty tasty. The BBQ chicken was on the sweeter end, and the roasted chicken pizza was a little too bland for me. Crust was normal. There was also a soup selection and a small salad bar, which is always nice with, you know, 5 pieces of cheesy bread. Manager and server were really attentive and friendly. Parking in the area is plentiful in the back(farmer’s market parking area) Only $ 8 – 9 for lunch buffet. Totally worth it. … cheesy bread

Dining in here is the type of hit or miss you should expect from a mediocre-ly managed college town restaurant. I gave up expecting too much from Aubree’s after their bartender slash so called manager proved how incompetent they were to be handling any sort of customer service during one visit, but letting bygones be bygones… Here’s the shining star factor of Aubree’s: THEYDELIVER. For free. And the food can be really delicious(4 out of 5 times, when your order comes out correctly). The burgers are solid. Favorite burgers in the area. Very consistent. Their french fries carry extremely well for long delivery times and are effing delicious(seasoned, crispy, non-soggy). Their pastas are even pretty good, which is mindblowing. They really offer a nice variety of foods that they execute very well, most of the time. Sweet tooth? all of their desserts win. While I was living in Ypsilanti, Aubree’s provided me delicious American comfort food delivered to my doorstep, especially when it was too cold for this squirrel to venture outside. Dumb service and mgmt blunders aside, it’s captured a tiny piece of my foodie heart, and in my opinion, is a large part of the heart of Ypsilanti.
