I am not a huge crafty person. Consequently I am lost, dazed and confused when in said store. Until I came in contact with employees. Oh my word! These people are truly nice sweet helpful people. I did not realize at one point I was talking to a manager(male) who actually spoke intelligently about beads! I was so impressed. this is a far cry from another same type of place where it always seems like pulling teeth to get help. I am sold. When in need A.C. Moore is where I will head!

Well I’m not one to frequent craft places and I was only in this store out of pure boredom while staying at a nearby hotel. The reason I rated this place what I did was simply due to the interaction that I had with one of the cashiers on my visit. We name was Connie and she acted like a human which is something that I can appreciate. What do I mean by this? Well she was friendly, courteous, and actually interacted with me by making some small talk about my PEZ machine purchases and we even giggled a bit. I wish more of my experiences when I go to retail stores were more like this one. Thanks

It’s a «craft» store. So its basically anything and everything crafts. They also do custom frames and custom fake flower arrangements. It’s the closest semi-art store I’ve found in Newport News, not being a Michaels, though it might as well be since they sell the same products. AC Moore offers a rewards program so definitely sign up for that if you intend on spending a lot of time at this store. Careful what you get here because there are things you can get for much cheaper elsewhere. Staff is so-so. Cashiers are always friendly.

This Ben Franklin has pretty much every craft item you could think of. Fabric, needlework, scrapbooking, rubber stamps, baskets, candles and seasonal items. Some things can be a bit over priced, and some of the workers are less than friendly. But, for a one stop crafting shop, I’m a fan!
