Great pizza and friendly service. We always have to hit YHOP at least once during every trip to York.

We were from out of town(Calif.) and stopped in late for something to eat. The owners were very friendly it is a nice comfortable place to eat or get take out. My husband and I were very impressed with the food. The pizza crust was excellent and toppings very fresh. We decided to give their sub sandwiches a try the next day. Again we were not disappointed, it will be a place we will definitely remember from our trip.

After being turned away from Woody’s, we brought our entire family to YHOP for a little second birthday dinner for our twins. Food was awesome, people lovely… They even let us bring in our own cake and helped us sing happy birthday! Thank you, YHOP, for a great evening.

It was a yummy take back to Greek style pizza. I enjoyed chatting briefly with the owner, she was friendly and prompt to serve us. I will be back with the kids to try the gyro which I hear is delicious … good portions, reasonable prices. It’s a classic joint for sure.

We stopped by this place at 8:50pm and John graciously insisted that we stay until our order was ready and that we stay to eat despite the close time of 9pm. The pizza was outstanding and greek salad /dressing was great. John was so friendly and even gave us some great local activity recommendations. I would definitely go again when we are back!

This place is an absolute staple to me. I’m there about 2 – 3 times a week whether it’s for lunch or dinner. The food is always amazing– the BEST Italian sub I’ve ever had! The staff is just so friendly even when it’s crazy busy– they still take time to ask how you are. Keep up the hard work guys!

We stopped here thinking we’d get a better pizza in this somewhat more remote location than on the crowded main drag of town. That was not the case. The pizza here is the«Greek style», which is to say it is put into the oven in a metal dish, with a thicker, doughier crust. Not my preference, as I like a thinner crust NJ or «Italian style» pizza, and preferably baked in a wood-fired oven. As I found out later, such pizza is available in that area and so I will be going elsewhere next time. Pizza was ok, not that great. Also, the large size was smaller than what I think most people would consider large.

The new management is awful! They can’t handle a busy summer night so they take the phone off the hook! And then have the nerve to try and tell me they«would never do that!» Even though I could see no one inside was on the phone but it was still busy when I called. So rude! Sauce is not the same either — too sweet. Oh well, thank goodness for Anthony’s!

York«House of Pizza»?? It was a frozen crust! Very greasy pizza. The hot cheese slid off the pie after picking it up. The atmosphere is a bit dated– but I liked that. Unfortunately the staff was not friendly at all.

My last review discussed how good they are when they get the order right. Well, over the last year, they must have made some changes, because they are very consistent and make one of the best Italians I have ever had. We continue to love the pizza, as usual, but they are definitely more consistent with the subs now and are sooooo good.

On-par with best cheap(ish) Pizza in town. I don’t know about the other reviewers, but after years of not coming here due to overly greasy pizza, my family and I decided to give them another try. We were pleasantly surprised: the pizza tasted great! Our only complaints are sometimes they’re not super friendly, and the atmosphere is a bit run-down, especially the bathroom. But taste is great!

The best pepperoni pizza in Maine. Plenty of cheese and the crust is good, served right out of the oven, so hot that the cheese is still boiling. Each pepperoni is cooked to perfection; slightly cupped shaped, burnt around the periphery, and filled with the pepperonis own boiling juices. The owner may not be so friendly, probably more concerned about making a good pizza than making a buddy. If you want a great pepperoni pizza this your place. If you want a friend get a dog. Update: I ate there a few months ago. The pizza was good, but they changed their pepperoni. It doesn’t crisp up into a toasty pepperoni cups filled with mouth burning pepperoni juice. I lowered my rating from 5 stars to 3. Its still worth a try and I will no doubt eat there again.

If you were lost in the desert for 17 months having eaten nothing but scorpions and cactus, then maybe this place’s food would be enjoyable. Ordered: turkey and prov, lettuce, tomato, mayo, pickles, 9 in roll Got: 2 slices of slimy turkey and terrible sandwich! It also took 20 min to make when there was no one else getting anything. Step your game up York House of boring food!

Not a friendly group of people. In fact the owner won’t come near you, he’ll tell someone else to help. Food, ok for something rather quick. Do not use the restroom there!!! It’s disgusting. We sometimes would go here on our way home to MA from the beach. Maybe use the restroom before leaving. Big mistake, I’ve seen cleaner bathrooms at crappy gas stations.
