Karen and Hemmer were great hosts. It’s a bit hard to find, but worth the effort. Very secluded and quiet. Karen may even allow you to play her piano.

Reviewer Kenneth L. did not have a confirmed reservation to stay at our B&B, nor has he ever stayed here. He failed to respond via phone calls and e-mails to several requests for the complete information we require to confirm a reservation, including payment of one night in advance. When he phoned just a few hours ahead on his ‘assumed’ day of arrival and was told that we had not received a reply with his information after several requests, he angrily barked, «I am the customer!». He ended his tirade with«Cancel it.» There was no reservation to cancel. And, yes, we do need to know about food allergies and dietary restrictions before preparing breakfast for our guests. We would be remiss if we did not ask. Perhaps this person is more suited to impersonal hotels with 6:00 pm ‘holds’ and dining room menus, rather than a small B&B in a private home.

Just read a review by some jerk named«Kenneth» who thinks he can review a place with whom he never did business. What a idiot. Obviously trying to bump his Unilocal reviews in order to gain some level of status on this otherwise suspect website. I have stayed at the Orchard Inn B & B many times when visiting Yakima for my fishing trips. It has always been nothing less than a stellar experience. Period, the end, through. Kenneth just doesn’t know of what he speaks.

I have never experienced such offensive service in my life. It took repeated calls to get a simple reservation. The woman was rude and unhelpful. I had to repeat information over and over because she just could not get it right. She had my credit card information and everything she needed for the stay days in advance. I called the day of to confirm… There was no confirmation. Why? Because I had not filled out some stupid form via email regarding food allergies. I had told her I was driving cross country and did not have convenient access to email when I made the reservation. UNBELIEVABLE!!! She is a horrible listener. She has no idea who the customer is and like I said, I had to repeat myself over and over again with repetitive information because she just couldn’t get the reservation right. DONOT spend your money here. Bad people! UPDATE(10/13/2014): For the record I received a nasty email from the Inn staff today. I considered it hostile, insulting and threatening.

We stay at the Orchard Inn every time we visit the Yakima Valley now. The owners are knowledgeable, fun, engaging, and the breakfast is something to rave about. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. TV’s, jetted tubs. Surrounded by orchards, this place is so peaceful. The owners are so up to date on what’s happening in the region. They are a delight. I wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else in Yakima.

Absolutely wonderful! Unfortunately Henner was on a fishing trip so we didn’t get to meet him but Karen was so delightful to sit and chat with at breakfast. She was so hospitable and made our anniversary wine weekend get away better than we could have expected. We will be back for sure.

This is a wonderful little inn in a beautiful setting, surrounded by a cherry tree orchard. The trees were in full bloom and it was lovely to enjoy valley views beyond the blossoms. Rooms are well appointed and every need is met here. Owners Karen and Henner are a delight, and know the area well. We mentioned an interest in wine tasting, so Karen gave us some great information to make our experience a wonderful one. Henner is the chef, and we enjoyed delicious breakfasts beautifully presented. We plan to visit again in the fall and will definitely call The Orchard Inn our home away from home in Yakima. Highly recommend!!!

Our weekend getaway to Yakima would not have been the same if we had not stayed at the Orchard Inn B&B. An outstanding inn – and super nice owners! Highly recommended!

A friend reserved 3 rooms here for a group of us and it was fantastic. I echo the previous poster’s sentiments and am happy to report that 2 years later the same is still true. Great and knowledgeable hosts; cute, clean and spacious rooms all with their own bathrooms and jetted tubs; FANTASTIC breakfast — very nicely presented and inspired by local ingredients. We loved it.

My wife and I discovered the Orchard Inn a few years ago and stay there everytime we go out to Yakima for wine tasting(5 times now). The small family owned B&B is in a lovely location, the rooms are comfortable and pleasantly decorated, the owners(Karen and Henner) make it their priority to know what’s going on in the region and make sure you have what you need to make the most of your experience. Oh yes, before I forget — the breakfast is absolutely spectacular! Given all that you get by staying there the value is phenominal. I could not be more enthusiastic about recommending the Orchard Inn.
