Wow Yakima, I’m impressed! Just visited from Southern California and found great food here. Sushi had a gourmet touch and sashimi was so fresh I thought it was caught 30 minutes previously. Also tried the teriyaki short ribs were great. Don’t miss trying if you’re from out of town.

Worst place ever! Meat was served to us so cold and under cooked, and when asked our nice waitress if it could be reheated, she goes to take care of it, then the manager comes out yelling about how we are sending it back. When we try to explain to him we just wanted the meat cooked enough and warm, he says we should just leave. Never had such rude service, horrible.

Best New York teriyaki in town. Restaurant is clean, they have their own selection of sushi rolls I haven’t seen elsewhere in town. They have a wonderful roll with scallop in it and it was delicious! Great prices also.

Great food and good portions for low prices. Quick service. One of my favorites in town. The staff always treat me with good service. The chicken Katsu is my favorite.

Usually great service and food. Tonight they forgot our order, acted put out when we asked about it, then didn’t even comp us for our trouble. My husband finished his whole order before I even got mine. The lady working very nice, the young man super rude.

Dinner I had last night, teriyaki chicken was luke warm at best as with the rice and salad. The meat appearance was as if it was the very end of the pan with no grill marks and was just small bits and pieces, I did not order scraps.

I really like my first meal here. The service was fast and the pork and rice were hot and fresh. I really liked the warm bottle of teriyaki sauce put out for my meal. Next time I’m in I want to try their sushi to see how it is.

Honestly the food is good. Unilocal gave me the tip and my friend confirmed it was good and we went there. I got the chicken salmon tempura sushi bento. There was a small piece of salmon and some chicken with teriyaki sauce that was decent tempura that was OK as well a nice seaweed salad, the rice was OK tho slightly dry but the sushi was good. 2 piece Cali roll was slightly dry and the shrimp nigiri had wasabi in it that I wasn’t expecting but the eel was good the squid OK and the sashimi great. $ 16. My friend had a baked salmon roll and a Japanese beer and our total was $ 33 and change. Super nice and fast service and good food just slightly pricey.

I had a chicken Bowl that had hardly any chicken. The chicken that was lightly covering the top was poor quality. If I could send it back I would. There quality has been better in the past but has declined of late. They just lost a loyal customer.

My favorite little sushi place in yakima. We are always given huge portions, and it’s not all rice. A lot of their rolls do have crab, sometimes seen as a filler, but they’re still amazing.

Very rude service. However, they did have good teriyaki! Will not be going back to this location.

Great, friendly, quick service. Good food. Reasonable prices. There are three NY Teriyakis in Yakima. I think the one in Union Gap is the best, this one is second and the one in North Yakima on 1st Street is my least favorite. The seating and décor in the Fruitvale location are my favorite. Very clean and well lit. The chairs are comfortable and the place is nice and roomy.

Found this spot during a visit in late October, wasn’t too busy on a Saturday night. They serve japanese & korean dishes. The bulgogi was a little too salty for me but the sushi was good. The owners and servers were very friendly and attentive, I’d give service a 5 star but give them a 4 because of the bulgogi and the slim selection of sushi. If I’m craving japanese and in the area then I’d probably go there again.

Been too all their locations, this one is just as good(well, the 1st St one is probably a little better) For Yakima, it’s great sushi and teriyaki. Obviously if you want great sushi head over the mountains to Seattle.
