There sushi is awesome! But I’ve noticed that there beef and chicken bowls are not as good as they were like 2 years ago. Nonetheless there still good and the pricing is decent(used to be cheaper) but I still come here because even though there not as good lately it’s still a nice place to eat inside or takeout. Very nice and clean. And somewhat friendly staff.

Considering it has been over 100 degrees for the past 2 weeks and my dishwasher destroyed my kitchen and cooking full dinners is out of commission for the time being, I needed something healthy for the family for dinner. The spicy vegetable stir fry was fabulous and didn’t need the huge serving of rice that came with it. My husband loved the chicken yakisoba and the kids were thrilled with their Bento boxes. I’d rather have less rice and chicken and a couple pieces of tempura veggies with the Bento, but we will have leftovers tomorrow. The Miso soup, in my opinion, wasn’t the best, but the kids slurped it down. Since we did take out, I appreciated hot and cold items being packaged separately.

I don’t recommend the sushi. But the beef and chicken teriyaki bowls are to die for. I’ve been eating here for years, rarely get a bad one. But if you’ve had sushi before, you know what it looks and tastes like. The spicy sauce makes everything here taste better, I recommend it as a si

The food is great of you’ve never had sushi or Japanese food before. I was literally tempted to ask the staff if they’ve ever actually has sushi, but I thought that was an odd question. I got the tempura meal, and it resembled beer battered corn dogs. so I sent it back and ordered salmon sashimi hoping I coudnt go too wrong, what they gave me looked like mushy, spawned out dying river salmon, definitely not sushi grade… But hey, it’s Yakima, what can you expect

All of their combination dishes are excellent. I love either the chicken and beef combo or the beef and pork combo, always with a side of spicy! Their spicy tuna rolls are the best in town(even compared to other locations). Call it in, pick it up 10\15 minutes later, always on point and excellent quality. I’ve been eating here since it opened and have never been disappointed!

My favorite teriyaki place in Yakima. Nothing exciting or unusual about this place, but it is clean, has good food, has resanable prices, and fast service. Can’t expect much more out of a teriyaki joint! One Unilocaler didn’t like hid tempura because he thought it was too thick and doughy. I’ve had tempura here several times and I’ve found it to be light and crispy, and never greasy.

So-so food, nothing to get excited about eating. Food was rather bland tasting.

Very well prepared food, I especially like the chicken and gyoza, it’s quite delicious. I like my food spicy and they do a very good job at that. Service is adequate for the type of restaurant it is, but I recommend take-out, top 3 take-out in town.

If you have never ever had traditional Japanese food, then you will LOVE this restaurant. Fortunately, I have and this is not it. Restaurant is clean, has plenty of tables and two tvs way up above, along with security cameras along the ceiling. Service is very friendly and food comes out fresh from the kitchen. We were a party of five, so as each dish came out as soon as prepared, the last person was still eating as others were already finished. #39CHICKEN&SALMONTERIYAKI, TEMPURAVEGETABLES, SUSHI&SASHIMI This combo had lots of chicken, which is good. Salmon was small and dry. Good thing there was a bottle of teriyaki sauce on the table to help. Tempura was a joke. Under the super thick breading, which is traditionally supposed to be light & crispy, was a carrot, broccoli or yam. It was like eating an unsweetened donut with veggie filling. Sushi was good! Sashimi were large pieces! At least three out of five is okay, but not when you are paying for it. #34TEMPURAUDON When ordered, we asked for the tempura on the side. When arrived, it was in the soup… all nice and soggy. At least it softened up the batter to easily peel the shrimp out of the donut. Udon was okay. If quantity is more important to you than quality, then you are getting your money’s worth here. If Monkey do return, it’ll have to do a simple burger or teriyaki chicken.
