This place is The. Best. Our favorite spot on the coast by far. The coffee is killer and they have lots of other unique and delicious drinks(the Earl Grey cocoa is my favorite!) with all the alternative milk options(soy, almond, coconut, hazelnut, rice, oat). Their big thing is mushrooms(a Yachats thing), so don’t miss the mushroom cocoa or the candy cap walnut cinnamon roll. For a bigger breakfast than pastries, the lox plate is insane and the breakfast sandwiches and wraps are super tasty. This place is a dream for a vegetarian or vegan, but also has good stuff for meat-eaters.

If I could make a negative star I would. I was told by a few local people how great the GREENSALMON was. When I got there I had my hands on the door and was ready to open it and then I looked at the sign on the door. I also glanced at my watch knowing it was just about closing time. As I was about to open the door, the girl working gave me a ride smirk and locked the door and flipped over the closed sign as I want about to walk in. Thanks«green salmon» for showing me and my family a nice time. If you can’t make one more drink to make a little more money you are obviously in the wrong business. Good luck myself and my family will not be returning. EVER

I love everything I have had here. Mochas are to die for. Food is really good. The man that is usually working there is super friendly. The coffee is the best I have had on the coast.

Yum, fresh roasted ground coffee for Café Lattes which were super good/perfect. Our blueberry and lemon glazed scone was out of this world. These people really care about food. Wish we had something like this place where we live!

The place had a line when I entered and I realized why. People like the food, but the service was also on the slow side. I opted for two coffees to go, a chocolate croissant and a cheese Danish. She asked me for the name for the order and I was slightly confused since they were all to go and there was a coffee dispenser to help myself. She said it was for the coffee since it’s a pour over but I told her that I would just go with the coffee from the dispenser. It was still really good coffee. The cheese Danish was very flaky and tasty and the chocolate was croissant was delicious. I would love to go back when we have more time and try the actual food.

Yeah to this unassuming but delicious place in Yachats! The line was to the door and parking was slightly difficult but we’ll worth the wait! A perfect spot for vegan/vegetarians but also has organic meaty options. The Super Shroom Cocoa was DELICIOUS! They also convinced my lactose-intolerant boyfriend to try a different type of milk alternative — Hazelnut milk in the«Hazelhoff» and he loved it! Sipping till the last drop! Also, the ketchup is delicious!

I am a huge fan of pastry and was excited to come try this place. I got three or four different types of pastry. They all turned out great. They do a really good job with flaky pastry. Not many people get that right in my opinion. I also like their use of fruit and berries. And it’s impressive that their prices are, on average, $ 1 cheaper than the other pastry shop in town. Though this doesn’t compare to some of the pastry I have had over in Paris and other European cities, it certainly ranks with some of the better pastry I have in the United States. Great job guys!

We come here when we visit Yachats for special occasions. The Green Salmon Bagel and Lox Plate is the only bagel and cream cheese type dish I’ve had that actually comes with too much cream cheese and toppings. The drink menu is also really creative and there are a huge variety of options. This place open on Labor Day, despite what Unilocal says.

Dirty, dirty, dirty, loud music, loud yelling staff. Tables are not cleaned or cleared between use,…bitter latte with burnt boiling milk. pastries are a joke… how to make croissants without butter, no separation of the layers!!! God awful. Please coffees and teas don’t need additives. guess I am a purist. How can locals afford this place??? PVery expensive for whaT Me thinks I have too much time on my hands to bother writing about this place, just take a good look at the outside, this is the only show in town and there is no pride of ownership.

Delicious Oregonian coffee! Loved the cherry berry pocket too. Wish we were in town longer so we could try more things on the menu, but it has a wide array of breakfast and lunch goodies. Really unique coffee drinks. My Oregonian coffee was nice and strong and not too sweet — perfect!

I’ve been using Unilocal quite often to find new places to eat, and the other reviewers have not steered me wrong so far! I also had the Salmon bagel and lox plate, to try something new. While it is not exactly my favorite dish ever, it was really good. The chai however… Just amazing. I order chai wherever I go, and it’s my measuring stick of the quality of a place. This one is top notch. It’s spicy, bold — a perfect cup of morning goodness. Whether you want to get an old favorite(pastries galore!) or be a little more adventurous, this place is for you. It has a groovy, bohemian atmosphere, and promotes environmentally sound thinking. Support local business, and enjoy the morning mist with a chai!

This was a really great stop. They had terrific coffee, and a really warm approach to customers. We had smoked salmon bagels, and a tuna melt. Everything was delicious — they clearly care about their food. I would definitely stop by again.

Having traveled extensively I did not expect to find one of the world’s best coffee houses in a sleepy dot of a town on the Oregon coast. Boy was I surprised. This café does everything right, from their extensive menu of quality teas, coffee, and cocoa to their fresh food options(salads, sandwiches, breakfast plates). My girlfriend and I split an enormous cheese danish that was perfectly flaky with a large center of generous cream cheese sweetness. To top it off the atmosphere is cozy and relaxing with big wood tables, small outdoor seating, and shelves filled with loose leaf teas available to purchase. If I lived nearby I’d have trouble not eating here everyday!

Easily one of the BEST coffee and tea(and food) joints on the west coast. And trust me(a total stranger!!) on this. I have taken many road trips that start in SoCal and end in Seattle/Canada and Green Salmon is almost a caffeine Mecca for me. House roasted coffees DAILY, and a tea selection that is second to none. Do yourself a favor. And…support local business. And…100!

For a vast selection of wonderful teas, great tasting coffee, and tasty breakfast items, Green Salmon is a must stop whenever visiting Yachats. I hear they have delicious pastries also, though I’ve never had one. I absolutely recommend their coffee and their own tea blends. The place gets super packed during the weekends so waiting in a long line is expected but their beverages are worth the wait.

This is another one that is making my mouth water as I am writing the review reminiscing on the delicate, ever so tasty treats that spill from this kitchen. I will admit that all I have done was take things to go, but that is only because I am with my dog when I am at the coast and he is pretty vocal when left alone in the car. I havent been able to try anything other than the morning treats. I havent even been inside as I make the partner go in. Yes, its busy inside, but totally worth the wait. I wouldnt care if I waited as long as I do in Portland for bfast, but its not that bad. Yes its way out in Yachats, but we like the southern part of the coast and this place is just an excuse to go that far down. Yachats is not that far really and you can go play in the tide pools and check out some beautiful sea life while you are in the area. The cream cheese danish was to die for, but the orange honey blossom bun was MINDBLOWING! YESMINDBLOWING! It was just so different and the spices they used seemed more exotic than something you would find in a coffee shop. The drinks can surely be bragged about. I love Chai and strong coffee. Their Chai is real Chaiy, so if you are someone who prefers the ‘lighter’ chai taste, perhaps steer clear. They use loose tea and some can get away from you, but that can happen to anyone. Their bfast sandwiches are just as good, but who wouldnt want a little something sweet for breakfast. This place is a must and I will be back when in Yachats next.

This lil gem is a great find in a town that’s the blink of an eye. So make your way along coast, maybe just for drive down 101 or maybe head to cape perpetua. Either way make sure to stop at this place! After the speed limit slows to 30 be on the lookout for The Green Salmon. So I had a friend tell me about this place and decided to check it out one weekend while in town. Make sure you are prepared to wait, it’s a small town so if something’s good the whole town is there. The wait is fine since PDX brunch waits tip the scale at about an hour. This is an order at the counter, sip coffee and make your decision while you wait to order place. The menu is def something to be excited for. They try to address every need possible from vegetarian, vegan, coffee buzz, and that sweet tooth. The drinks are freakin awesome. A lil spice that wakes you up for discovering the tide pools. They even sell tea by the bag. There was a guy playing guitar when I stopped in that helped keep the volume tolerable(drowned out the kids). Then to top it off I got some baked goods! Holy shit these are good. I wanted to turn the car around just for another Danish that failed to make the trip back to PDX. No lie, the flaky crust red, white and blueberry Danish almost extended our weekend trip. The orange blossom honey bun had me like sir mix alot«my tummy don’t want none unless you got these buns!»

When wandering aimlessly in a town pre coffee it is such a relief to find like minded coffee people. There is a long line, but coffee is awaiting you the minute you walk in the door. You can drink a delicious cup while you wait in line. They will accommodate menu alterations and have sugary vegan options. Obviously a local hot spot in the middle of town. Extensive selection of coffee alternatives as well.
