I feel the food here is of high quality and delicious. I ate this food for years when I lived locally and have eaten everything on the menu. I think that no matter where you go to eat the food is not going to be perfect 100% of the time but over the years that I ate this food I enjoyed it very much. I think the owner Steve, attempts to do everything he can for this company.

dakota pizza is like a box of chocolates– you never know what youre gonna get. they make good food but it doesnt matter what you order they will make you something different. and since it takes them an absurd amount of time to make your food youll just accept that they made you anything and take your food home. it will be good but youll have no idea what youre eating.

Pizza was delivered promptly(the only reason for the 2 stars) but, it was barely cooked and I requested that it be well done. Like the delivery option but I will make the drive to pick up better pizza and one that is cooked based on my request.

Ordered a couple of slices to eat in. Pizza is different than you will find at most regional restaurants, it has thick crust and a very distinct seasoning. Not cookie cutter at all.

This place is a disgrace for a pizza place. The delivery guy leaves your food on the floor, their main priority when you actually sit in the pizzeria is to get the orders out. How does it take 45min to warm up a slice of pizza inside the pizzeria? The pizza is always hit or miss. Do you want a reliable pizza place? Well this is no where near this. The owners should be ashamed of themselves

Ordered delivery. Food was excellent. Portions were huge! Delivery guy was cool. The chicken broccoli alfredo, chicken parm, garlic knots, and salad all came out perfectly. Definitely ordering from here again. They’re close enough that I’ll probably visit, too!

Scant stars. Their link said that the wait time was 30 – 45 minutes. I ordered a simple salad about 1.5 hours ago, and still no delivery. I called once when an hour went by, and was polite. I called a second time, and asked for the owner’s name. The person who identified themselves as a «manager» said that it was Steve Bledsoe, but wasn’t sure. I asked him… you’re the manager, and you don’t know who the owner is?! That could be the problem!

Decent food and decent pizza but incredibly long delivery times. And don’t bother asking for anything well done or crispy as it all gets packed in foil bowls with kids and shows up(cold) and soggy. Wet, soft onion rings. So gross. Don’t bother ordering delivery from here until they change some delivery methods around.

I’ve had delivery and eaten in here and both were well above average, especially for the area. The hot wing pizza is incredible, and the slices are quick and tasty, although a bit pricy for a college budget. Tuesday nights are half-price large pizza, which is a pretty great deal. The place is clean and the service is fast and friendly. Definitely recommend.

Dakota Pizza messed up my order of two salads twice tonight(again!!!). I asked for my money back and had to wait two hours. A total of 3 hours to resolve one order. Never eating here again.

The pizza isn’t terrible, but it’s nothing special. If you are looking for a great pizza place I’d keep looking. I love that you can order online, but if you do order online they are extremely slow. If you call it might take 45 minutes for delivery, but if you order online it will take something like an hour and a half.

Terrible. Horrible pizza and it took 2 hours for the delivery to arrive. Unacceptable.

I know, everyone has their favorite pizza place. Well, if you don’t have one yet and are on the Main Line, try Dakota. The pizza is fairly good for the area. Not NY style, but kind of a fluffy crust with a good sauce(not sweet) and toppings. They also make good cheese steaks, and the italian steak with broccoli rabe and provolone is worth a try. It’s been our regular place for takeout for years. They also have a small eating area and by the slice if you want to eat there.

Loved this pizza. They make a spinach white pizza exactly how I had it in NYC and have been looking for ever since. The Philly cheesesteak was also good.

Definitely a go to place for take out pizza. The Monday and Tuesday deals are great. Very good cheesesteak as well. Never had a problem with an order or the service.

Friend brought me here years ago for their Big Dakota Burger. It was delicious so I came back today. Saw they added turkey and veggie burger options which is great. But even greater and what I ordered was their whole wheat pizza crust option. Delicious and tasty :)

Clearly one of the best pizza, salad, sub shops in the PHILLY suburbs. Don’ t waste your time elsewhere. These guys know what they’re doing. Great menu. Very trendy.

I like to think I have had all of the most hailed cheesesteaks in Philadelphia and the Main Line. I got this cheesesteak keeping my expectations in check because I don’t always feel as though the ones rated the best are always deserving of the praise. The cheesesteak at Dakota(with hot and sweet peppers) was mesmerizing – the authentic cheesesteak equivalent of eating at a Marc Vetri or Jose Garces restaurant. I never take the time to write Unilocal reviews, but felt this was important to spread the word about. The Bread: the bread was of the sesame variety, but it was very soft, like an Amoroso roll. A Primos sesame roll this was not. The bread also did a wonderful job of keeping this large, cheesy cheesesteak from being unwieldy or messy. The bread never got soggy, and there was no grease. The Meat: There was an abundance of well-spiced beef in this sandwich, and unlike so many around, there was real flavor there. The Cheese: I chose the default American cheese, but Dakota’s also offers provolone and whiz. It was well-melted and thoughtfully mixed into the sandwich. The Peppers: Above and beyond. Just the right amount were used, and they were actually hot peppers – not jalapenos or banana peppers. They complemented the sandwich well. Overall: The size of the cheesesteak was quite satisfying. It is roughly the same size as a Mama’s cheesesteak, but I felt that it had much more flavor, much less grease, and no sogginess. When I opened the aluminum wrapping, what I saw here was a model cheesesteak – the picture of a cheesesteak you would see in an advertisement but never see in reality. This is hands-down the best cheesesteak I have had in my four years in Philadelphia. Despite its location, everyone should frequent this place. I have only had the cheesesteak, but I will be returning to try other foods. N.B. I did not detect any surliness or attitude from the establishment. In fact, they were very polite.

There are different categories of food/drink related needs each of us have to fulfill. You need a good brunch spot, you need a good bar, you need a good diner, you need a good sushi place, you need a good steakhouse, etc. Many, if not all of us, also need a good take out/delivery joint. Enter: Dakota Pizza Company. Far and above the best delivery I’ve had in quite some time. One look at their menu and you’ll know this isn’t your standard cheesesteak & pizza shop. In addition to their extensive offerings of cheesesteaks, they offer ten different kinds of grilled panini sandwiches, thirteen kinds of «specialty sandwiches» and thirteen different kinds of hoagies made with ingredients such as sauteed spinach, sharp provolone, broccoli rabe, roasted red peppers, homemade meatballs and crabcakes. They also have an italian dinner specialties section with such offerings like ravioli, pasta primavera & shrimp fra diavolo. I’ve ordered from here about four times so far and everything I’ve had has been of excellent quality and well made. Delivery has always been prompt, food arriving piping hot and with no errors whatsoever in my order. It’s also reasonably priced. For example: A $ 45 order turned out to be a smörgåsbord which could have fed four people easily. I’ve also ordered a full dinner and a sandwich for a mere $ 20. Keep doing what you do Dakota. You’ve earned a loyal customer. For stay-at-home evenings in the wilds of the western suburbs, it would be foolish to order from anyplace else.
