The reason the gym area is rarely crowded is they have policy that you can only wear capped or short sleeves in the fitness area and the reason was to prevent ‘sweat drip’ on the equipment. Hello? It’s a gym. People are going to sweat. Maybe instead of offering people to wear a t-shirt, the recreation center could give sample deodorants instead. Travel size deodorants would be cheaper than t-shirts. Or maybe have stations where people can wipe sweat off the equipment after use with paper towels and lysol wipes instead like other gyms do if they are so concerned with«sweat drip». That is the most ridiculous policy I have ever heard of. I will be joining a fitness facility elsewhere.

So nice and clean, inexpensive, rarely crowded, and they offer great classes! I love this place.

I really enjoy this gym. It is only a few blocks from my home which allows me to get in a workout each day before work. The staff are friendly and the gym is kept in immaculate condition including the locker rooms and showers. I only wish the gym was open later in the evenings and longer weekend hours.

Three months ago I decided to take the plunge and join the brand new rec center. It was the best decision I’ve made in awhile! The rec center offers any and everything! The place is friendly, clean, and affordable. It has two levels which allows all kids under 12 to play basketball and ping pong. You can find all the workout equipment upstairs along with a walking/jogging track. It even has a day care so parents can fit a workout in! The only thing I wished for is better hours on Sunday because 12 pm — 8 pm limits my workouts on family day. If you’re in the Wylie area I recommend using the day pass to see what you’re missing out on!
