Modern practice, with modern equipment. Office staff is friendly and efficient. Dr. John is a lovely man, who is not afraid to send a patient to a specialist who will serve the patient better. Peeked into the kid’s side; it looks bright and cheerful. Xrays are done via a panoramic machine, rather than paper inserts. Office scheduling appears to be on-time, with little to no wait time past your appointment. Very convenient to Wylie, Sachse, and surrounding towns. Can’t speak to the actual work quality, as after xrays, the doctor recommended that I see a specialist, so I didn’t have any actual dental work done.

If you are not Christian, you will not feel welcome here. Just keep that in mind if you align your beliefs in a different direction. Christian music is up quite high in the office. The office is modern, the staff is very friendly, the equipment is up to date. They use non-film X-ray machines allowing for faster response to your images. It did seem that they like taking more X-rays than necessary — for me, one panorama, and 6 close ups. While they were working on my teeth — maybe it was my imagination — but the gloves and/or dental instruments smelled a bit. I’m happy with the cleaning they did though. They didn’t jump right in trying to fix a tiny pre-cavity they found.

The location was great and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The only thing I noticed is that they did not floss your teeth. I’ve been to quite a few dentists and go every 6 months and I’ve always had teeth cleaning that included a flossing. I was quite surprised this did not happen. The dentist also did all the cleaning portion, which was different from most of my appointments, however, he did a great job.

Another great visit at Cantrell Family Dentistry today! Alex called earlier this week to remind me of my appointment and of course when I had to reschedule he happily found me several options for later in the week that would work. Everyone in the office was friendly, and I saw some familiar faces in the waiting area :). When I left, I asked Alex about how he ended up in his current position while letting him know how much all of the customers appreciate his service and positive attitude. He humbly accepted my compliment and it turns out he has known the dentists for quite some time! When you surround yourself with good people, good things happen and I for one will be returning for my 6 month visit once again.
