Amazing local spot. The girls are sassy. They only serve breakfast and don’t forget to tell them how you want your eggs poached. There are certain standards done well here. Really good, smooth coffee with prompt refills. No soy or dairy alternatives. Just little packets of half and half. Crispy well done bacon. Even more amazing corn beef hash. The potatoes are over fried. Hollandaise is silky, rich and somewhat broken. English muffins are pan grilled as opposed to toasted.(So much better) Linguica is dry but good. But, be forewarned you must tell them what temp you like your poached eggs. Otherwise you get an egg poached medium well.

Service was fast and polite especially since she appeared to be working alone. She kept my coffee filled which is one of my few criteria for a good breakfast place. Parking in front of the place filled up fast. As for the food, well it’s better than McDonald’s. Good omelets but subpar home fries.

never tried this location but their new place in Mansfield was not good at all! The food was blah, they had no straws for drinks, and the restrooms were disgusting and had no toilet paper nor paper towels in the ladies room! We will not be back again!

We popped by around 9a on Sunday. It’s definitely a diner-ish breakfast place with only a dozen or so tables and a bar. Unfortunately, we had put in our order and waited and waited — folks who arrived after us were already half-way through their meals and I observed our server asking the cooks whether they had our ticket. They didn’t. My husband was hangry by then and we were very close to walking out. However, our server remedied the situation by ensuring ours was the next order up with the kitchen and comping our meal! I really appreciated the customer service — so, thank you, Alex — you redeemed the situation and we will definitely be back.

Yum! This is a quaint, diner-style café. I was in town for work and had a friend visiting me for the weekend. After our commuter train into Boston was canceled, we looked to Unilocal for brunch spots and ended up here. The eggs benedict were delicious. The eggs were perfectly poached, the corned beef hash was flavorful, and the hollandaise was rich and creamy. The girls working here are really sweet and accommodating and the prices are affordable, especially considering the generous portions.

One of the best breakfast places around in my opinion. They are so please and small bit they put so much attention and care into their food. We usually go on the weekends and sometimes it’s a bit busy and e have to wait but it’s totally worth it. My boyfriend and I never get a real meal, usually just side orders of everything… Pancakes, bacon, hash Browns, toast, eggs, corned beef hash. you name it we get it. We have our own little breakfast buffet! The kitchen people has said may be a bit slower than most places but everything is made to order and worth the wait. My absolute favorite is the corned beef hash which is made with real corn beef and not mooshy like other places. Lastly is the service, our favorite waitress is Alex who we always seem to get. She treats us great always knows how crazy we get with sides and is always a great person to chat with. We love this place and is the only place we ever go to for breakfast. So if you are ever in the area, I would highly suggest stopping by its well worth your time.

Happened upon this small town breakfast nook. It is small, the staff friendly, the kitchen slow but particular, and food is tasty. If I lived in the area I would be a regular. The Looking Glass Benedict was excellent, with shredded corned beef, carrots, potatoes and onion to make a yummy hash, poached egg, hollandaise sauce and topped with what I thought to be garlic salt. I chose a fresh side salad to accompany my meal. Fruit cup was delicious as well.

Every town needs a breakfast/lunch place like this! Always friendly, good coffee, creative menu. The homemade hash is the best I’ve found anywhere around.

Great place for breakfast. The everything omelet has it all but the kitchen sink. The corned beef hash is excellent. Prices are about average and the portions are large. The service was prompt and friendly. Chris the owner and chef has done a very nice job with this place.

Last weekend, my boyfriend and I stopped by The Looking Glass Café for a quick breakfast. The restaurant is small, with a dine-in counter and about six tables for parties of 2 – 4 people. The natural lighting makes this a small-town place that is very inviting. My boyfriend had the Eric’s Benedict which included corned beef hash on English muffins, topped with poached eggs and including a side of homefries. He also had a buttermilk pancake as a side order. I had the vanilla frappé French toast. The food is mediocre, but comforting. It also is conveniently located near the Wrentham Outlets(which is why we were in the area).

Nice solid option for breakfast. As others have mentioned there’s nothing special about it –it’s pretty much whitebread breakfast.

A great breakfast place. I was very surprised at the menu. Many options, traditional and creative. Reasonably price, friendly service, family owned. Definitely a stop not to be missed. When you are in the area or shopping at the Outlets stop by.

Boo. They broke a cardinal rule. I was seated before 3 other people, yet, I was served coffee, last. Picky? Maybe. Also, $ 2.00 for«real» maple syrup. Ridiculous.

It’s your typical run of the mill breakfast place. Nothing is really a stand out for me. The home fries are a bit over-fried. I wish they had freshly squeezed OJ, like some half-decent breakfast places, rather than the Minute Maid vending stuff. Everything needs salt!!!

Nice small town Breakfast place. They have great creative specials all the time like strawberry stuffed French toast and very creative omelette’s. Just close enough to the Wrentham Outlets, but just far away enough from the crowds.

Been here countless times(right down the street from my house). I love the Irish breakfast which has two poached eggs over home made hash, home fries, and raisin toast. The hash is great in «Eric’s Benedict» as well(which is like eggs Benedict but with hash instead of ham). Great food and service. Don’t forget to leave some pennies on the rails for good luck!

This is our favorite little breakfast place. It’s sunny and warm and almost every seat is excellent(there are booths and counter seats, as well as tables by the large windows). The atmosphere is relaxed and sweet. The service is always excellent. The waitresses are really nice and engaging. The food is typical of breakfast places and pretty traditional. The specials are usually really appealing — it’s difficult to decide what to get. The coffee is always excellent, and we love the home-baked goods on cake stands on the counter. Sometimes it’s blueberry or cherry pie, or cinnamon coffee cake, which they also use for the French Toast special!!! The prices are so reasonable. We love to read the paper and hang out for a few hours.

This is one of the nicer places in the area. Recently remodelled, it’s just a pleasant place to visit. Breakfast is always great, although I generally prefer natural casing sausages I really do like the sausage patties they serve here. . Coffee is very good. On a recent visit my daughter declared that the pancakes here could be the best she has ever had, and believe me she as had a lot of pancakes in her life. service is always great . Prices are a little higher than some other spots, but I know from previous owners of this location the the rent and especially the electric bill is extremely high. Have never been for lunch but can definatly recomend breakfast here. Only suggestion is don’t sit by the door on a cold day. Oh andFYI… I have seen Scott Brown Eating in here a number of times over the years.
