Best. Breakfast spot. Ever!!! Luckily this place is on my way to my per-diem work so I make sure I stop by there whenever I go. Anyhow, if you love breakfast, slap yourself if you haven’t been here already. Everything is home-made, unlike the generic crap out there. The owner is super friendly and humble, so is the entire staff. I love EVERYTHING about this place! Everything!!! I’ll write a more detailed review next time.

Took my buddy from Connecticut here this week for breakfast. Love, love this place. I’ve lived in Wrentham for 7 years and this is the best our little town has to offer. Eggs, toast and bacon are all very proper and do yourself a favor and always throw in the hash browns with onions – those babies are key. Service fast and friendly.

THE best breakfast/brunch around! I look forward to spending my Sunday’s going to James’ with my family as often as I can! The shredded home fries and the homemade English muffins are my favorite! I wish there was call ahead seating since it’s always so busy.

Food is unreal! Best breakfast spot around. I got the Big Mac omelette which was the special of the day and my husband got the cast iron killer. Worth the drive if you live farther away!

Hi. Dropping in my two cents to say that the breakfast was fantastic. Bennies with a twist– crab cakes on an English muffin with poached egg and dill hollandaise. Who even came up with this?! idk. who cares. It’s amazing. We waited a while on a Saturday morning(expected) even though quite a few tables and booths were visibly open(unexpected, also weird.) I wonder if they were just plain old understaffed.(What kind of breakfast place is understaffed on a Saturday morning?) A few people around us got annoyed. Oh well. I don’t remember all the details. My memory is clouded over because of that amazing benny.

Always decent food — a step up from a diner. Decent, but not formidable. Variable service. We are locals — this is not a go-to place for us.

Always busy. Sometimes feel rushed by harried wait staff. Decent breakfast but not very good biscuits and gravy(I am a Southerner, so I have high standards): it tastes more like Alfredo sauce with scrapple. Skinny home fries are a bit hit, however.

Such good prices! Loved the atmosphere and the wait on a Saturday wasn’t bad at all! Would love more options on breakfast menu and Texas French toast was a little too eggy.

Went with the cast iron killer and it was amazing. The homemade corned beef hash was excellent. Everything is made from scratch… breads, English muffins, jams, everything homemade. I definitely recommend coming here if you havent.

Tried this place for the first time this week. Was seated by a very nice lady who also happened to be our server. I had the Big Mac Omelette and my friend had French toast with a side of bacon & eggs over easy. My omelette was out of this world. Sooooo yummy. Service & food was on point. Left full and will definitely be returning to try lunch!

This is the second time we’ve come here for Sunday brunch. The only downside is there popularity… This means a wait! We waited almost an hour last time, this time more like 40 minutes. It’s worth the wait! The food was terrific. I ordered a Cast Iron Killer and my wife got Bennies with a Twist. Overly generous portions, fair pricing, and leaving content with full bellies. Our waitress Jessica was soft spoken, but attentive and on top of service. Definitely will return.

As a resident of Franklin for my entire life, James’ is one of the better breakfast places to come around our area. Their chocolate chip pancakes are the best I asked for extra whipped cream and powdered sugar and our waiter brought a whole shaker of powdered sugar and gave me a side of whipped cream. Now that’s what I’m talking about! Our waiter was very kind and all of my friends were pleased with their meals. The only downside for customers of James’ is that they’re always wicked busy and they don’t take reservations so its first come, first served. You’ll usually be waiting at least a half hour and there isn’t a large waiting area so it turns to standing room only, which gets squishy. Once you’re seated, it’s comfortable and the waiters let you take your time and don’t rush you out, so it’s an enjoyable and delicious experience. I enjoy eating at James’ but only when I’m prepared to wait at least a half hour. Don’t go here if you’re hungry.

Ok, so this place is awesome. The food is always fresh, good atmosphere, good service, and every plate that I’ve had is always delicious. Be prepared for a long wait, or get there super early to beat the crowds.

There’s no question that James’ has the best breakfast(and lunch) around. This morning i was pleased to hear about the Big Mac omelette. I haven’t had a Big Mac for years, and this omelette satisfied the craving without the negative side effects. This omelette could almost be my new favorite at James’.

My first time trying this place for breakfast and I was happily surprised. Judging by the wait on a Sunday morning(approx. 35 – 45 mins) that usually gives you a good indication that the food is worth the wait. Yes, it was a post-holiday Sunday, so the wait might be less at other times. Now to talk about the food. I opted for the Bennies with a Twist with a side order of home fries and a cup of tea. My belly was busting at the seams after this delicious breakfast! Yummy combination. Price point is about right for the quantity and quality. Service was good, fast and friendly. Hopefully a return visit will be the same! :-)

Far from a cute restaurant and far from amazing and I’ll never eat anywhere else. My bad, it’s breakfast. While places can screw up breakfast easy, those that do it well, all do it just ok. This is A-OK. Pancakes good, eggs a tad bit dry, everything else was fine. Coffee of endless supply was expensive and not that good to be honest. At $ 2.50 it ought to be amazing beans picked by the prettiest Columbian hottie and dripped into a coffee pot as she stares at customers with a seductive look and her finger in her mouth. I wasn’t, it just wasn’t. It’s me, breakfast has to blow me away for a 4 or 5 stars, this is not a «I can’t wait to go back» place. The interior is. it’s not cute, it’s fabricated. I want character, organically transformed over time(like a diner interior). I was looking more at a carefully orchestrated set up restaurant with little personality. Just not my cup of Joe.

Solid choices in a cute restaurant. There was a short wait when we arrived around 11 am. They have booths, high top seating, and a bar area where you can grab a seat. The highlight was the homefries(side) – they were some of the best I ever had. The crab eggs benedict were good – I did not see the rave reviews that others have said – rich but not nuanced in flavor. The south of the border burrito was good. The prices were on par with Boston and this place would do well in the city(and is better than most breakfast places in Boston). We will be back!

Great little spot for breakfast and lunch, it’s warm and cozy. It’s a lot bigger than what it seems from the outside of the building. Tastefully done on the inside and very spacious for dining. Staff is friendly, polite, fast and attentive to all your needs. Outgoing and very helpful as well with suggestions. Food is great and fresh and made totally from scratched. It’s made with love and care the old fashion way. Today was a South of the border burrito with fresh salsa and sour cream on the side. Had three scrambled eggs in it along with fresh tomatoes, cheese, black beans and scallions. Person I was with went with the Belgian waffle with fresh homemade whipped cream, along with a mix of berries along the way. Was very tasty and not to heavy like some can be. A wonderful pleasant place for breakfast service is fast and they were busy on this day. Try it and I think and feel you will love it.
