I decided to try Paul Conzo for a spa pedicure rather than visit yet another as they are called«Asian nail places». I found the setting to be relaxing but was a bit upset to find I could not use my cell phone while getting my pedi as I am a mom if 9 children and a business owner who relies heavily on my phone for my work. The technician was very nice but I found the services to be no better than that of the Asian salons as a matter of fact, my Asian salon gives better pedicures. I found it rushed and rather expensive for what little services I received. Also not even 6 days after my pedi the polish is fading and wearing down. I am not pleased with my overall experience and will not return to this salon for another peficure

I go to Paul Conzos for massages with Elizabeth and facials/waxing with Don. I love it there! Everyone is so professional and it’s very clean! I also use the yonka products that they sell and my skin looks and feels hydrated and healthy! I can’t say anything about their hair services or nail services, but I would highly recommend both Elizabeth and Don!

I have visited Paul Conzo over the years for numerous massages and body treatments and they are top notch. I finally decided to try the salon upstairs and I have never been happier with the results of my cut and color. Amilia was my stylist and was fabulous. I have been trying to achieve a golden hue of blond for over two decades and she FINALLY gave me the exact color I wanted! And a gorgeous cut as well. A TAD pricey for the salon but I truly believe you get what you paid for and this color and cut was totally worth the money. I won’t go anywhere else now!

I’ve always had good experiences here. I’ve been here a few times already but only the spa, never the salon. Usually get just a facial but the last couple of times I’ve gotten the«Fassage». It’s a facial and a short back, foot, and hand massage– everything I need in one. My most recent visit was with Eileen– a mature woman who seemed very knowledgable about esthetics. I had a very bad breakout when I went(always seems to work it that way) and she was very gentle overall but especially with that area. She told me all about my skin and suggested ways of taking very good care of it all while complimenting me– what girl doesn’t like that?! She made me feel comfortable, even with a huge planet on my nose(hah)! Of course when I left my face felt amazing and my breakout cleared up very quick! I will definitely be going back and asking for her. The girls at the desks were very sweet as well. I just wish they would replace the spiral wooden stairs leading to the spa, I’m pretty petite and I feel like I’m gunna fall through them.

This place messes with the filtered or bad reviews as I wrote a review and am a regular Unilocal-er but PAUL Conzo has me in the filtered section. FYI– they do have 55 «filtered» Unilocal. The ones that are good are from first time Unilocalers– the ones that are bad are from people who know that this is not the cleanest salon. Just a warning. See me other“filtered” Unilocal for details.

Mom and I had a half day here and mom loved the massage that the Polish girl gave her but when I called back several weeks later they has no idea which girl was Polish or who did moms massage. I had a salt scrub and massage in addition to other treatments but the scrub was horrible. The older woman was obviously new and dis not even do the sides of my legs and torso until I had to remind her that she missed areas. she also skipped my chest and when I asked her why she said ‘mist people don’t want that’. And I asked If I get half price for doing half my body when it is advertised as a whole body scrub. The facial was just ok but the hair gal was excellent. Upon checking out the owner or manager gave me a card with ‘suggested tips’ at 15% and I reminded her that tips were optional based on services. I would NOT go back here. we had 8 services between us and 3 were worth while so 2 stars is all thus salon is worth. We spent $ 460

Two days before my wedding I went to this salon with my Maid of Honor(MOH) for a gift from her cause it was also my birthday. We were SUPPOSED to have an hour massage, manicure, and pedicures. The entire night was so screwed up. Not only did they book our appointments incorrectly, they were less than accommodating to correct their mistake. We had to only do a ½ hour massage instead of the intended hour. Strike: 1. After being left in the waiting area for a ½ hour, the manicurists came out and brought us in. Now, I’m a cosmetologist so I know how to do a manicure, this girl, did not. She informed me that she was a new stylist that did nails when they needed her to. Not surprising. She had no clue what tools to use and ended up using a cuticle pusher that tore the surface of my nail apart. When they were painted, they looked even worse. Strike: 2. I decided to be very polite and just say«I think i’m gonna just pass on the pedicure for tonight». I knew what my best friend was paying and didn’t want her wasting anymore money on something that I was going to have to have re-done the next day. After realizing that I was unhappy with my manicure(I think the lady doing my MOH’s pedicure overheard us talking) the owner came down and asked me what the problem was. I told him there wasn’t a problem and that I just wasn’t happy with the service that I had received(the manicure) and just didn’t want the pedicure. Without re-hashing it all out again, we went back and forth while he got ruder and snappier until he told me that i was«just being a bridezilla» and walked away. Strike: 3. I had never been spoken to like that in my life! I left there in tears. I work in the service industry and could not believe how rude and unprofessional he was. I would not recommend this salon to anyone looking to book bridal/bridal party services!!! Worst experience of my life with a salon. I used to recommend this salon to everyone but had heard it had gone downhill… i had no idea how badly until my own tragic experience.

I hadn’t been here before, but it is close to where I work so I thought I’d give it a try. The pedicure was very nicely done; the manicure was okay. I was very disappointed with the brow wax however. In all my years of having my brows waxed I have never had it done at a sink that is used for washing hair! I have always laid down on a soft bed usually in a room with soft lights. This was highly unusual and the wax was not very well done. The natural lines of my brows were not followed. The section at the top of the nose between the brows was waxed and not plucked carefully as I am used to. It was crude and unrefined and not done by someone who really understands what a good brow wax should be~ less is more. It is not flattering and all I can do now is wait for it to grow out so that I can get it done by someone who knows what they are doing. This is not spa caliber work.

I have been coming here on and off for years — on and off mostly because I did not live in the area. I have been here for massages(phenomenal), mani/pedi, and for haircuts. I called this morning to see if Allie was available and if I could squeeze in. It has been months since Ive been there and was a little sad to hear that Allie is no longer working there. Given my experience with every other service and the staff I knew I was in good hands with whomever I was paired with for today’s hair cut. I saw Yvonne, who is an amazing hair dresser and stylist. When we first met she took me back to her chair as she wanted to learn a little bit about my hair and what I was looking for. As I explained that my hair is very thick and curly and was unsure about getting the cut I wanted she listened carefully and touched my hair to get a sense for the texture and thickness. She then explained what she could do to achieve what I was looking for — asking me to confirm length etc. Afterward, we walked to the sinks and she gave my hair a good wash. It was very relaxing too! Yvonne explained everything she was doing. We also chatted about the area, since I just moved to it, and the recent holiday. No pressure to chat — though she was very friendly so I was happy to converse. Yvonne is very polite and professional. I also LOVE that she is familiar with cutting curly hair and knew exactly how to handle mine. She told me that she, as well as the others at the salon, are always keeping up with the latest techniques and products through educational seminars in house and elsewhere. I like this — I think its important to keep up with your profession. In the end, my hair looks AWESOME(cant wait for my husband to see it!). I am SO happy and will definitely be returning to see Yvonne. AND to top it off — wash, cut, hair dry for $ 35 is quite the bargain! If I had this done in Boston it would have easily cost me double for less of an experience.

I didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars to get my makeup done for ONE day so naturally I went in the direction of a salon. Lucky for me, Paul Conzo was minutes away from where I was getting my hair done for my wedding. I was very happy with both my makeup trial and the actual day of makeup. However, it was a little weird that both the makeup trial and the day of makeup were different. It’s ok, I actually liked my day of makeup better anyway. The only complaints I got was that I was too glittery(but that was fixed quickly by my mother-in-law and some powder). All in all it was $ 60(including tip) for the makeup which is a hell of a lot cheaper than some makeup artists charge to come to you. And I have to say, I looked great on my wedding day!

Like Melissa H., I also prefer Tu Moda for all my massage needs, but Paul Conzo employs Jenna, who does amazing things to my hair for a super reasonable price($ 75 for cut and 1-process color). She’s really superb. I recommend her to everyone!

I had heard nothing but nice things about Paul Conzo. I typically go to Tu Moda in Worcester, but figured I’d give Paul Conzo a try. It was a tiny bit less expensive to go to Paul Conzo and my mom was paying for my maternity massage, manicure and pedicure for my birthday gift, so I didn’t want her spending more than needed. I will NEVER go back to Paul Conzo. Those who rave about Paul Conzo have more than likely never gone for massage/mani/pedi services at Tu Moda. The lighting is far from«spa like» w/harsh fluorescent lights, the waiting room is tidy, but again, less than spa like. My massage therapist had to leave my session to «go pee» and certainly had no problem ending the session right on time instead of making up for her bathroom break.(When you have to go you have to go, but go before the massage starts or make up for the time at the end.) While waiting in the waiting room, I could hear a nail tech state«It’s days like this I hate my job, I just hate it.» Low and behold, I had this woman as my tech. She was rough and it was anything but relaxing. Overall, it was simply not the birthday/maternity escape I was hoping for. Disappointing!

My sis chose this place for her and the bridesmaids stuff before her wedding a few years back. They did an amazing job on her hair and mine was prettier than I’ve ever seen it, and hasn’t been done as nice or as professionally since then. I do stop in there every no and then to get the best eyebrow or arm wax ever! I haven’t been in enough times to get personal with any of the staff, but they are all fabulous and very thorough. I really do love this place and highly recommend it. Even if its packed in this place, they run a tight ship and you wont be there for 2 extra hours you didn’t foresee

I’ve only been here a few times and for massages only. Shayna Fitzgerald is a FANTASTIC massage therapist. She’s been there for many years and really is a pro.

I had the pleasure of getting a facial here at Paul Conzo. The place is very serene in colors and in décor and quiet inside. The music was so nice. I was brought into a beautifully appointed room with low lights and calming music. No outside sounds and that’s always a huge plus in my book. my facial person was well trained and warm. I loved every minute of it and would have loved to have gone back for more but pocket book doesn’t allow me the pleasures I so deserve! ok… I’m whining but that’s only because I need to go here!

This salon gets the«Readers Choice Best of Worcester» award every year. Seriously, for something like 11 years running. Paul himself cuts my hair and has done for about two years now. I first went to him about 15 years ago and came back since no one does as good a job. The salon is clean, well lit, friendly and very professional. I am never kept waiting, and always offered coffee and a smock to change into. The smock is great because I have had clothes ruined in the past by chemicals. Every week the salon sends an email with discounts if you want to make a last minute appointment for a facial, manicure, massage, what-have-you. Can’t comment on the spa services as haven’t used any. But, if it’s best of Worcester for 11 years others must like it, right?
