Kenmore Diner

I’m a regular but I came came in at 11:42 for a take out and they told me the grill was off as I watched them make food. I said I would take it to go but they said no. No biggy I went over to miss worcester as they stay open later. I’d give them 5 stars for the food but the hrs are different than most dinners and they don’t give 100% on customer service.

On Sunday, May 1, 2016 I went to the Kenmore Diner with my daughter and had a very unpleasant encounter with the Diner’s owners. My daughter is a Vegan for medical reasons (she can’t eat anything animal-​based, i.e., no meat, dairy or eggs). After standing in line for more than 20 minutes to get a table, we quickly discovered there was hardly anything on the menu (other than toast!) that she could eat. We asked the waitress if she could order the Vegetarian Omlet but without the egg and cheese, sadly her response was that it was too busy and the owner wouldn’t make any exceptions on the grille. So we ordered the only thing we could on the menu, toast and juice! After our meal I approached one of the Diner’s Owners to let her know why we ordered so little. I very politely explained that we wanted to order more but that my daughter had a medical condition and could only eat Vegan meals. I let her know that we had wanted to order the Vegetarian Omlet but without the egg and cheese but were told we couldn’t. I then asked her to consider adding some Vegan options to the menu. Her response was a very unprofessional, «Go to City Hall and complain.» Her response was completely uncalled for.
In honor of Vegans and others with any dietary specialties, I urge you to go to Miss Worcester, The Coffee Mug (in Auburn), or IHOP instead of supporting Kenmore Diner. The food at Miss Worcester is FABULOUS and their staff are far more healthy looking than Kenmore Diner’s staff.
If you want to help me send a message to Kenmore Diner, please go there and order the toast and a beverage on a busy Saturday or Sunday morning … and read a book or newspaper for an hour. Please tip the wait staff appropriately though — they are not to blame for the Owner’s inability to accommodate a simple dietary request.

It’s been awhile since I was here but I know it was awful. High prices small portions and crappy food! Also they don’t take credit cards but the have an ATM that charges like 4 dollars to take out money. The food sucks. The staff is also so rude. This is another establishment I have no clue how they are still open!

After going out to water street with some friends we decided to go to Kenmore diner to grab some food. When we walked into the door a waitress yelled at us to go back outside and use the other door on a rainy night. After being seated we got said waitress. She took our order with a terrible attitude and then yelled at a group behind us to quite down when they were at a normal volume level. I will never be going back here again.

Real good breakfast and fast. Great spot in the morning.

The Kenmore is my go-​to breakfast place in the city. Most days they open late in the evening and are open until just after lunch the following day, so they’re good late night or in the morning. The quality is consistent whether, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are hefty. Cash only but there is an ATM on site.

Everything was great, had Italian omelet with sausage and meatball. Sooooooo good, fried taters awesome, fresh milk, service was great, any place that has been open this long, has stood the test of time with great food. Will recommend to all my friends.

This place is the worst place ive ever been to, the cook with the white beard is the most RUDE and disgusting person ive ever met, he said he couldnt make us a pancake because he wanted to make all the food at the same time… and the chinese waitress was very rude too, NEVER go here, Dennys is 100 times better, hope this place shuts down!

There’s a reason Kenmore is getting one star from me. I’ve never had a bad experience at a diner but this was the icing on the cake. I went with three of my girlfriends and they all ordered food, got there food and I ordered a kielbasa and tomato omelette and asked for crispy hash and homefries and had to wait. I asked the server if i could have them crispy and the cookthrew a plate of homefries at us, i never got my hash after waiting twenty mintues the cook came grabbed my food so i couldn’t eat anything. I was upset and said i would like it togo. Our server didn’t even acknowledge us at this point. They called the cops because i asked for my omelette. Needless to say if your omelette or virtually anything is wrong the cops get called on you. Bravo kenmore you’ll never receive our services again!!!

This is a family business … the owner, Jimmy, clearly runs a no-​nonsense operation … assisted by his lovely wife, Pauline & their extended family. With three generations of the Yantsides family working here, they clearly take great pride in ensuring that each of their customers (many loyal, returning families) gets their day started with a cup of freshly brewed coffee, attentive service & a delicious breakfast.

I love diners. Food was good, the staff was patient and I love the atmosphere. If you are looking for a diner in Worcester, this is one of the good ones.

Was referred her by my adult daughter. it’s 3 minutes from St. V’s, and is an awesome breakfast place.
We eat Paleo, and this place had zero issues make accommodation for that weirdness.

There are a few different great dinners in Worcester but this is the best for breakfast I’ve been going here since I was a kid great dinner vibe in the heart of the city. It has a special place in my heart because my dad would always bring me here as a kid it was right down the street from my grandparents house.

Breakfast was good: great kielbasa, great bacon, good eggs, potatoes were a bit bland, and way too much butter on the toast. Quick and friendly service!

Avoid at all costs. All positive reviews are fake, THE HASH IS CANNED!!! Roaches crawling around in kitchen area. Food is terrible and they rush you out before you are finished with your coffee. Don’t even sit down if the fat old lady waitress is present. Open after bars close = GOOD, this place == DUMP! Avoid at all costs.

As far as local diners this one is one of the top.
The staff is always friendly and food is a step above regular diners.
The omelette and hash are tasty for sure!

Not the cutest diner from the outside, but the real deal inside. Everything is good and prepared before your eyes. Top notch chocolate chip pancakes, and an off the menu trick: they let you order just 1 or 2 pancakes if you couldn’t, or shouldn’t, eat a whole plate.
I love to sit at the counter and watch the amazing waitresses do their thing. Dancing around each other attending to the customers, schmoozing with the regulars, and dealing with the register all with no privacy and little space.

I used to go to this place almost every other night after 2 AM in college. There are a lot of drunk kids here and sometimes they get kicked out. The food comes out fast, the staff doesn’t take any shit and almost everything is decent. It’s diner food, best suited for the late night crowd which is mostly drunk college kids, try to keep all that into perspective.

100% Worcesters best diner. Definitely was a regular here when I lived in Worcester and definitely will be back
