The location is hidden between one-​way alley and the façade is bit old. And the shopping environment inside needs to update too. But I understand it if you do not have the budget to do it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The store has various products for you to choose. I spend around $ 20 on shank (not sure if they were frozen in the transportation). I asked if the meat is from local, but it seems that they are from a far away farm from Kansas or somewhere. Also I do not see any label for organic or non-​GMO products. I don’t think it is as good as what I expected from the other reviews. I prefer to go to Costco because at least I can read the label and index on it.

Awesome meat selection, where I go to stock up for a big bbq (great for briskets, pork shoulder, etc). And better prices than the wholesale clubs. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Wear a sweatshirt, it’s cold in there and you’re going to want to look around!

I’ve been there twice so far and can’t get over the quality and prices. I picked up some of their signature ground beef and ground pork to make a bolongnaese sauce which turned out to be one of the best I’ve ever made.
Love this place! It’s such a throwback going inside and is a nice way to break away from the confines of the supermarket horror shows these days.

What can I say about Fairway that hasn’t been said. Refrigerated building, knowledgeable & friendly staff, super prices, and no artificially colored or gas-​packaged meat. These guys have been here this long for a reason. Best deals are during the 3rd week of the month (inside tip).

This is one of those places that demands you make it your first stop for your grocery shopping. The chicken parts are packaged in bags, so I suggest bringing another bag to put them in if you’re using reusable grocery bags.
Besides the ability to buy a bag of chicken tenderloins, my favorite thing about this place is the bargains. Keep an eye on their website, their facebook page, or the posters along the Grafton St side of the building for deals!
One other thing to know if you’re shopping here– a lot of stuff comes packaged in bags, such as chicken parts and the ground beef. Not that its a bad thing– I’ll gladly sacrifice the time it takes to repack the meat at home!

Agree with everyone else here about the quality and prices of the meat here! I’ve been coming for years and have never been disappointed.
Nice to viisit on a hot, humid day… Inside is sooo cold everywhere, you can see your breath!
Deli meats very inexpensive too!
Gonna have a T-​Bone Steak from the grill tonight!

Fairway Beef is the best place for economical groceries. My family likes to eat, meat specifically and the meat packages here are great.
I buy a plan B and it lasts for 2 weeks, I’m thankful I have an extra freezer to stock up. The deli meat and frozen veggies are also good quality for a great price. You can get dried herbs here for around $ 1 a bottle, which is a $ 1.50 savings at least from the grocery store.

I love this place! The WHOLE shop is refridgerated, so everything is right there on the shelves (they do have open freezers, though). They sell a ‘flat’ of eggs (I think there’s 36 to a flat), for less than what 2 dozen costs at most grocery stores, and they’re HUGE! Most are double-​yolkers. I buy a meat package and a cold cut package for less than $ 100, and it lasts the two of us about 2 months.
The employees are great, too, Always a smile, and the deli will go out of their way to accomodate whenever possible.

This is the best full service butcher in the city, bar none! If selection weren’t enough, it’s also the best and most attentive service.
I dare you to go into your local (fill in the blank) grocery store butcher, pick up a 10# bag of chicken leg quarters, ask them to trip off the end bones! I don’t know what happens at (fill in the blank) but at Fairway, you get smile and rebagged product back.
«Hey I need a whole brisket». «Come on back here behind the counter and pick the one you want!»
What else can I say? They’re simply the best and you could do a large part of your shopping there every week, not just meat. Bread, eggs, milk, cheese…
You get the idea… it’s the best.

Fairway Beef is a classic Worcester establishment. There are tremendous bargains, the staff is wicked nice, and the whole place is refrigerated. Awesome place to stock up for a barbeque or just general groceries.

I love this place. The staff is well versed in preparation, seasoning, cooking and eating of all things they sell. You can’t beat Fairway Beef’s prices.
It’s always a treat to go to Fairway Beef to stock pile on meat for a cookout, especially during these long, hot, muggy New England Summers

I’m a vegetarian and love this place! They have 4/​$ 1 yogurts, 50 cent cake mixes, 1 dollar cartons of eggnog, 85 cent candles… On and on. Everyone is super nice and has a real new England feel.

We would take our kids in here during the summer dog days and they would run to the door to get in! It’s sooo cold in there! It makes Fairway such an awesome place to go. They loved watching the guy with the saw cut up all those ummmm dead things in the back. I would go around the other way and look at the blocks of cheese. Well worth the money to find the best cuts of meat and exactly how you want it also.

Best butcher in the City. I grew up going here with my mother and she grew up going here with my grandfather. The cuts of meat are great, the prices are unbeatable and so is the freshness (you can see them cutting it all up in the back while a guy with a bloody smock helps you pick something out). The entire place is like a freezer so prepare and dress appropriately.

I remember going here when I was 10 and just walking around it constantly looking in all the freezers. Just to let you know, it’s a GIGANTIC freezer, which makes it awesome. Fairway beef is part of my childhood, my mom would always go here, especially when we lived like 5 minutes away. I haven’t been in like 10 years, but I always feel a little nostalgic whenever I’m back in the Woo and drive by it. It’s not hard to miss, the red and white stripes are fairly obvious.
They also have the best sign ever in their parking lot, «I towed you so»
