George’s Pizza

Have known about this places for years only recently started going again because of a friend. Great pizzas, favors crust are unique and very tasty. Friendly delivery drivers. This place never messes up my order and orders are always delivered hot. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

What I got was literally the worst delivery food I have ever had in my life. The menu looks good, but don’t let it fool you. The wings were the worst and they came in was a styrofoam clamshell which allowed the sauce to drip on everything else I ordered. I hate being so harsh but it was truly that bad.

While George’s variety is extensive and the food quality excellent, be wary of their posted hours. For one thing, they post different hours for closing on different sites on the web. Worse, if you order between the hours that they _​say_​they close and when they _​actually_​close, George’s has charged your card, there is no food forthcoming, and there is no notice whatsoever!
To be fair, the company has always issued a charge-​back when this has occurred (three times!) but if you want to make sure you’re going to get your food, call rather than order online.

My husband and I went to George’s frequently. We always found the staff very friendly and the food was good. It seems lately their food has been going down hill and we had been considering finding another shop but we always liked have nice they are. We picked up two pizzas recently. A meat special and a Hawaiian. As soon as I got in the car I told my husband they didn’t smell very good. When I got home and took a bite I spit it out. They put cheddar cheese (which I HATE) on my Hawaiian pizza. I’m sorry, I’m a traditionalist. Unless you ask for cheddar cheese leave my pizza the heck alone. I called and complained and told them I’d be down to replace my pizza. At my age you’d think I would have opened the box in the shop. Once again, they put cheddar cheese on my pizza. When I called for a second time they said they use a three cheese blend on their pizza now. Why didn’t they tell me that on the phone??? I would have at least got a sandwich or salad instead. Sorry George’s, we’re going to Fratelli’s now.

There is ALWAYS something wrong with an order from George’s. Today they didn’t have the soda I ordered and the delivery girl forgot so she had to go across the street and buy a soda and when she came back she needed to go back downstairs because she didn’t have change. Once I open my order it’s burnt and they gave me the wrong sauce. Last time I shop here!

The buffalo chicken pizza is outstanding. We are out of town had two large pizzas and wings $ 25. The price was right but this is the best buffalo chicken pizza I’ve had. Definitely don’t understand any review below a 3.

Lot of variety on the menu between custom crusts, artisan pizzas, fried dough, etc. Pizza was tasty, topping amounts were generous. Overall, a very good pizza for the price. Would recommend for sure.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with this place. I know the owners are cheap douchebags but the food is great and I love how easy the online ordering is. The delivery guys are always very friendly as well.

Buffalo chicken pizza is the best I’ve ever had! Fast delivery and very good customer service from the delivery guy! We ordered online and it was very easy to navigate. Definitely a happy repeat customer.

Well, first of all, definitely will not order again. We received a good looking menu in the mail that made us really eager to try out this flavored crust, cheesecake dip, fried dough, and what seemed to be alot of yummy items. So the day came when we ordered delivery. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, an order or buffalo wings, fried dough with cheesecake dip, and cheesy breadsticks and cole slaw. Ordering by phone was fine, though the girl seemed to have no idea what she was doing or knew about any of the food. Food arrived in decent time.
Open the bag, received no cheesecake dip, the wrong soda (forgot we ordered soda) — and chips instead of cole slaw. I was not happy at all. I called right away and they said they would send the guy back to trade the items we had. Well we wanted to eat our food at once together, and I said you know this is my first order and I am not happy at all you’ve got 3 things wrong already and now I have to wait for you to return to sit and have dinner, I think you should allow us to keep the little 50 cent bags of chips so i can let my son eat them while we wait for or correct items. The poor girl asked the owner, and all I could hear was him screaming at her NO NO NO that is not the way it works– we will trade them out, and she said okkkkk ummmm I’m sorry he said no you have to give the chips back. OK! He returned with the items…
We sat down to eat finally…
Pizza– was actually ok, no complaints, pretty decent. BUT the flavored crust, i got the george’s combo, didnt really taste any different, a few drops of italian seasoning on top, and if it didnt have that it would have been as bad, tasteless, and cardboard like as the breadsticks which I’ll get to next…
Cheesy breadsticks– bland, dry, tasteless unless smothered in sauce which they gave me one tiny thing for a large order so it was not enough and needed it badly, We actually threw the rest away– not interested.
The buffalo wings– hardly any buffalo, dry, and tasteless, seemed like they came out of a freezer and might of even been open or freezer burn. Also had to smother in sauce to eat.
The Fried Dough– I don’t know who they learned how to make it from– but i pretty much got a ROCK SOLID peice of dough which could have cracked someones skull open if I threw it at them. Wonder how long it was sitting out before we got it.
The Orange Soda– well that was good since they had no part in the making of that and could not ruin it.

Pretty confident over some pretty bad food. Next, when I get home I will be calling to ask if they will refund my money or at least replace it with a pizza which is only somewhat edible thing and will update this review accordingly with what he says. I am sure that I am going to get yelled at as I did when I requested to keep the 50 cent chips for them screwing up my order.
Needless to say, I was really really disappointed!

Yeah, that’s it for this business, I don’t know who this owner it, but he’s an out-​and-​out crook. He now has THREE different prices for items in this place. Went in to try and get a chef salad, price posted on the wall board was 6.75, kid on the register trying to charge me 8.90. When I questioned the price listed on the wall, kid says «Oh, those prices are wrong». Lets leave alone for the moment the idea of any kind of business posting prices for everyone to see that are not accurate, but then the kid directs me to the «new printed menus.» The price for a chef on this «new menu» was $ 5.95!!! Actually even CHEAPER than the price on the wall!
So this place prints a menu with one price, has another price posted on his wall board, then when you actually get rung up, it’s a THIRD price that’s even higher than the other two. I walked out and drove 30 seconds down the road to Freshway Pizza, where the chef salad was 6.50, the price actually listed on the menu.
This new owner is a crook, plain and simple. If you value your wallet, don’t go here. Freshway is cheaper, better food, and they don’t play shell games with their prices.

Just good enough to survive, but not really great enough to stick out. Been going to george’s for years. Some things they do good, some things they do great, and some things you should make sure to never order… Pizza overall is good, they have a nice sauce and don’t skimp on it. Toppings are good and just like the sauce they don’t skimp… One thing to stay away from is any type of steak. I don’t know what they use or how they cook it, but its dry, has a strange flavor and is always way too low on cheese. A steak and cheese should be gooey and greasy, not try and hard. Especially make sure not to get it on a pizza, cause then it’s burnt and dry.

Being truthful I do not fully remember the experience when I visited George’s Pizza. I remember the staff being pleasant and the food was an average pizza. I Placed 3 starts in my notebook so that is what I will put on Unilocal
