I like the sandwiches here. But today I give in. I watched as the guy put my meat on the scale above his head. I could see there was other«stuff» up there. My plain roast beef had many other items like tomato seeds and onion that are from unwashed knives most likely. Or maybe it fell out of the stuff that is on the scale. Also the sandwich gets smaller and smaller. This place appears to have lost the thread of what J’s used to be. Not going back.

My first time ever eating at J’s deli was today and let me just say that I will never go anywhere else ever again for a sandwich, I ordered the Waldorf and OHMYGOD the chicken salad was SO fresh it tasted better then willow tree chicken salad and the lettus was so crisp and fresh also. Definitely my go to place from now on !

Ordered J’s last night. The staff on the phone realized I was ordering the wrong sandwich and made sure my order is what I wanted. Great sandwich as always! Really happy they will be open on Sundays again!

Went on Saturday afternoon about 2:15pm there was myself and one other person who walked in just before I did. No one else in the restaurant 4 staff members behind the counter. We both stood there for a couple minutes the other person commented to me «I guess we must be so thin they don’t see us.» I walked out I figured if they don’t want my money Subway up the street does. Went to subway, unbelievable customer service totally WOW what a different experience. As soon as I walked in“Welcome to Subway” Maybe J’s Deli needs some customer service training. This is the first time I have been back since they were closed. It was so much better before not sure the closing and hiring new employees helped. Won’t go back for a while I will give them another shot but will wait for a bit. Subway has its act together in the customer service area.

Ever bite into a chicken cutlet sandwich to find that the chicken(described as «all white meat chicken filet») is essentially an oversized McNugget(not an actual piece of chicken but instead, some sort of breaded gelatinous combo of chicken and filler)? Yeah, wasn’t loving my Chicken Deluxe here. For an $ 7.99 sandwich, it should have been the real deal. The folks were friendly enough, though.

Not really sure what people see in J’s. Everyone at my office loves it. Sure, you get large sandwiches, lots of options, etc. Service is efficient and friendly though, despite large lines during lunch(call ahead!). However, the sandwiches aren’t really anything special. Some of them are flat-out weird, others not true to the sandwich style(cheesesteak with mayo, what’s up with that?). I wouldn’t go back here on my own. Might tag along for lunch if my coworkers go, though.

Put more cheese in the calzones! The rare time I get the pepperoni & cheese ones there’s never enough cheese & is always super ridiculously greasy! I literally end up with a river of grease running down my arm every time. Sandwiches & soups are fantastic! Calzones not so much.

First time here for lunch. Might be the best tasting sandwich I have ever had, and it is huge! This will be dinner too. Fresh bread, crispy chicken. Awesome

Great deli. The sandwiches are innovative and combine a great mix of meat and your favorite extras. I recommend the fab sandwiches here. Portions are generous and priced right. When it’s busy, you may have a small wait but it’s worth it.

FYI — Woonsocket location is back open and has an AWESOME new staff! When I first saw this location closed I was sad due to the fact that I now work close by, but I agreed with the reasoning behind it — as the previous workers were not Js Deli quality. This New staff has high energy and are very friendly! I do go to all locations and find that the quality of food is always up to par. I’m known for getting the Investor(tuna, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato [for me no lettuce or tomato] in a pocket). I LOVETHISSANDWICH. Today I decided to spare my job of the tuna smell and get the Fraternity(willow tree chicken sandwich(and for me, Hold the cranberry sauce) and it’s very fresh!

My coworkers love this place. They were so excited to take me to J’s when I first started and I really tried to like it. I ordered some iteration of the philly cheese steak and was not excited by my sandwich at all. Aside of being enormous it was not tasty at all. Being this close to Philly, I thought we would have something a bit more authentic. I’ve given the place 4 – 5 tries, even trying their soup so see if I could find a winner. No offense to the locals but I am just not impressed.

Probably the worst sandwich I’ve ever had from an over priced deli. I’ve had mixed results here before, but this has brought me to the conclusion that from here on out I’d be better off taking my chances with a shady gas station. Absolutely terrible

Don’t waste your money on Subway or D’Angelo’s J’s has it all. Fish & Chips on Fridays is a steal… All sandwiches are fresh made with fresh cut meat. What you’d expect from a place with«Deli» in the name.

My work orders from this place frequently, because it’s DELICIOUS. I always get the Waldorf. It’s the perfect wrap in my opinion! They’re also super quick to make your sandwich! I would recommend this place for lunch any day of the week.

Has to be one of the best sandwich places in the area, if not the best. Been going here for years. My go to sandwich is the Pilgrim, which is basically an entire thanksgiving meal in a sandwich. But they have so many awesome sandwiches to choose from that picking just one is nearly impossible. The place itself is pretty simple. The prices are reasonable when you consider the quality and amount of food you’re getting. You can go and just choose a basic sandwich you could get at any joint, like turkey or chicken salad, but if you’re going to J’s, you’re going for one of their many, many specialty sandwiches.

The J’s in Woonsocket is convenient to my work and my coworkers eat there often. I typically bring my lunch but on a day that I forgot to bring one, I decided to try this local deli out. I decided to call them a head of time to minimize my wait time and ordered the veggie lovers wrap. This wrap consists of falafel on a wrap of your choice with veggies, hummus, and tahini sauce. When I arrived I only had a small wait and was greeted by a friendly staff person who informed me that my falafel was going to be out of the fryer in a minute. I paid(around 7 $ for the wrap) and received my sandwich shortly after. The space is pretty big and open with the sandwich names and descriptions listed on the wall. They have a variety of bottled drinks for sale and I believe they also had fountain drinks. I brought my wrap back to work with me and enjoyed every bite. I ate the entire thing but it was definitely filling to the point that I probably should have saved the second half for later. I will definitely eat there again in the future and can see why my coworkers are so adament about how awesome this place is.

Wide range of sandwiches and other food and snacks. Service is usually fast and right 99% of the time. Sandwiches are great for the cost and are usually overstuffed and big. Plus they have specials everyday and they have sandwich of the month. Yes there a few bucks more than subway but it’s worth it because there not skimpy like subway That’s for sure.

Tremendous sandwiches Consistent quality A well-oiled machine The preeminent eat-in deli name in the Blackstone Valley, this location is my choice as the top. Sandwiches never miss, nor leave you needing more — you’re more likely to eat yourself to overfulness than anything. Service can be somewhat abrupt(the place is a well-oiled machine, but there isn’t always exactly a homey feel to it), but for a mighty fine sandwich, I have a tough time identifying a better combination of quality ingredients, menu variety, preparation consistency, and price in the greater Woonsocket area. Waits can be a bit long, but you can usually get in and out(for eating in) in 45 – 60 minutes, even during peak lunch hours. Valued Guest Cards allow you to get 10 sandwich stamps for a free one — just remember to bring it with you. I could get into some of my favorites, but that would take too long; suffice it to say if the sandwich has a place on the wall menu, thousands before you have approved of it(or it’s been removed to make room for a new selection, which they always work in from the specials board as soon as you walk in). If you wander in and think something sounds tasty — ITIS. Prepare to be full.
