I was a little disappointed with the lack of «light balls» and the finger hole to ball weight ratio was a bit absurd. but also I was impressed with how well I bowled even with left over food poisoning from a previous location and high probability of getting epilepsy due to the black lights and neon lights. Whoever was on DJ duty props to you! I was feeling it tonight! «Yeah grease lightning»

Its alright for where it is located. If you want to get out and go bowling and live near by its a good place to go relax and catch up with some friends. If you are a serious bowler there are leagues that look pretty intense.

It’s difficult for me to write a negative review for a place like this, but I need to get the word out. My advice — come with caution. I’ll start by saying that I love sitting in the bar. The bartenders are all very friendly and very honest about their opinions on what could make the establisment better. They show a lot of frustration and love for the establishment that they work at. I’ve been here twice. Neither time was pleasant. First, we came to cosmic bowl on a Saturday night. The place was practically empty. I looked at the website and it said the price was $ 15.99 per person. We showed up and were told it would be $ 47. What?! They have a three person minimum. I asked to speak with a manager because it does not say that on the website(and it still does not if you want to look yourself). He said that the website says *prices are subject to change*. It does not say that(and it still does not if you want to look yourself). So, as a business law major, I mentioned that the establishment made an «offer» by placing the cosmic bowl advertisement. Even if there were a disclaimer about the prices, there were no changes in prices but the change was with the«requirements». Which means I could sue for false advertisement(not that I would bother). He then explained that the owner was responsible, that he would make an exception for us, and that it would be done only once. My boyfriend and I drop A LOT of money when we go out, and I think that the three person minimum is dumb as it makes couples feel unwelcome(which would explain why the place was empty). We intended to buy a pitcher of beer. They don’t sell beer by the pitchers(unless, as the bartender explained, we purchase a groupon). Second time I came here it was because we won a three game coupon from our previous visit. I knew this was going to happen but I was trying to be positive. There are no disclaimers on the voucher that says when it is not applicable. Yet, we arrive for cosmic bowl on a Friday(which was still not started an hour after it was supposed to because the leagues were still going) and learn from the cashier that we cannot use it because is is not applicable for cosmic bowl. I then remind him that it does not say that on the coupon, to which he responds that the cashier is supposed to tell you that when he issues it to you.(The law states that an offer in the form of a voucher must have all conditions written on the voucher itself). If I used it 30 days later, how am I supposed to remember that? Well, I used it a week later and I remembered that he said nothing of the sort when he handed it to me. In fact, he said nothing at all. Then, the cashier tells us that if we wanted to do the cosmic bowl, it would be $ 47 because there was a three person mimimum. UGH! So a visit from the manager(who was drinking at the bar while we were going through all of this) fixed things up and we again got to bowl(not three, but two games) with our coupon. We had a few drinks at the bar first since cosmic bowl hadn’t started yet. Let me advise you, draft beers we buy(like IPA’s) are $ 7. A Jack and Ginger drink is like $ 6. Save your money, don’t buy beer.

My friends and I decided to go bowling around 11:30 am and were confused when we got there to find not only a empty parking lot but an empty building. We stood there for about five minutes until a man walked over and said nothing to us but then immediately walked away. In confusion we stood there, he walked back and forth, He never made an effort to help us so we finally decided to leave. He then walked out into the parking lot and told us he’d be with us in one moment, and then never came back.

There are not many bowling alleys around anymore. Many of the new ones that are popping up are trying to be super trendy and there for expensive. Walnut Hill is a great area bowling alley that is clean and a great value. On a weekend afternoon you can rent a lane for an hour with shoes for 2 for under $ 30. we played a little of 4 games in that hour. The food is pretty good too. Best of all the attached bar offers super inexpensive beer to add to your bowling experience! I have never been here for cosmic bowling but if you are looking for something to do on a weekend afternoon, I would highly recommend Walnut Hill.

Place is awesome. Great staff, great lanes, and a great pub. The DJ on Friday night had the place packed when I went ! Well worth a visit and so much fun.

Came here with a group of four at 11:00 pm. We had a Groupon for two hours of unlimited bowling, shoe rentals and two pitchers of beer for a very reasonable price. The place was clean and staff were very friendly. Everything was well maintained, and the carpet looks like it was installed recently(no crazy color explosion circa 1991). There’s a bar attached with good beers on tap, three beer pong tables, and karaōke– although the MC likes to perform most of the songs…

Love this place, staff is very friendly, great people come here, I recommend to all. Prices are reasonable, on Sundays you can bowl for two hours, incl. shoes and a burger and fries for $ 10 bucks, a very good deal!

I was pressured by my boyfriend to go bowling for his birthday, so we decided to check out this spot. We just moved to the area, and our old bowling alley is a little far away for us now. We brought our friend along, and this is how it went. It was a little busy when we arrived, but after all the league people left, it was better. The pricing was great, we were charged $ 15 for the three of us for unlimited bowling from 9p-12am, including shoes. It would have cost $ 30 at our old spot for the same deal. We enjoyed the seating, as well as the way the computer scored the games, but the fun ended about there. The lanes were very greasy from the wax; we kept having to wipe off our bowling balls to be able to bowl properly after every frame. Also, later on in the night, there was a large group of 20-something guys hanging out a few lanes down, and one of them was creeping around our stuff, including my purse and our phones and other electronics. We were finally fully creeped out when who we think may have been a staff member of the on-location pub was wandering around the entire place, hitting on young girls, hanging with the crew of guys, and hanging around our stuff. It was too close for comfort for us, and we left before we could finish our full night of bowling. The negative things could have been worse, so we’re going to give them another try. If something happens again, we will be talking to a manager or the owner!

I went the distance to bowl at this place yesterday(i.e., 30-minute drive time). The place is easy to locate with a big parking spot, the staff is friendly and attentive enough, the crowd is decent and place is clean. Lanes look well maintained and I hope they stay that way as I’ve read this place has been recently freshened up. Cosmic bowling starts at 830PM. We came with a Groupon for up to 6 people and it was worth it. However, the cheese pizza that came with it was very doughy. It’s like eating bread with grated cheese that melted on top. Then again, I was not there to review the pub. Speaking of pubs, I did see a good selection of beer on the board — with Arrogant Bastard, Pumpkin, Banana Bread varieties. Even if I am not a beer drinker I had to try the banana one. Only one drawback: the piped in music was blah. They should tune in to an R&B/hip hop station if not a decade station with fun, dance-y tunes, say 80s or 90s. Heck, even 70s. Something that grooves players on. All said, I’d go back. I wouldn’t be embarrassed bringing guests over to this place.
