Los Bravos Mexican Restaurant

I would love to give this place five stars, but I can’t. The food and beverages are consistently above average. I have never had an order show up incorrect.
Parking:
I had to remove a star. It’s almost impossible to find parking during busy hours (let’s face it — who doesn’t eat at a restaurant when it’s not time to eat). So much so, that they have a warning sign that says those who park at the Wendy’s next door might be towed.
Service:
I’ve never had fast service here. I have had average service, but even that doesn’t take place regularly. On average, expect to spend at least an hour if you eat here.
Food:
Consistently good, but not great. Not quite run-​of-​the-​mill, but consistently above average. Not a fan of the salsa. I did have one meal come out extra salty once, still have no idea what happened there, but it’s only happened once.
I have switched to take-​out (single guy here) and have been very happy with the accuracy and quality of the food, even after a five minute drive home.

Refused to let me order the daily special for carry out. Bad policy! The gentleman who answered the phone was very nice but the manager told him I couldn’t place that order.

Overall, I love this place. It’s not too busy, but the service is very minimum. We frequent once a month or so, and the food is always delicious, but I wouldn’t recommend to go there on Friday or Saturday nights.

This restaurant is trying to feel more upscale and doesn’t even have a kids menu. Unfortunately the prices are higher than Las Palmas or Hacienda Vieja for inferior quality dishes. Also, their salsa is tasteless and terrible.

I would give 4 stars, but I agree with other reviewers that the service isn’t great. It’s not always horrible but our last waitress was close. Didn’t catch her name.
Despite that, I think the food is great & prices aren’t bad at all. My boyfriend & I get an appetizer, a meal each, he usually gets a sprite & our bill is around $ 22 each time. I’ll continue to come & I recommend it as long as you’re not expecting much from the service. Granted, i’ve never had one of the severs be outwardly rude to me. That is unacceptable & I hope the owners look into those reviews.

As we decided to go here I had already read some previous posts that were all over the spectrum from awesome to awful, also they were so sparse on the time lime I still decided to give it try. Glad that we did so we can spare anyone the time and the trouble. As we walked in it looks cool but then you enter and smell this old beer fermented scent. I’m not sure if they did not clean up or if someone spilled something. Got to our table and had to wait maybe 10 mins before we were acknowledged that we were seated. Took the drink order and got the standard chips and salsa. I had Carnitas dinner and my father got the number 25 burrito and taco. That food was mediocre at best. That carnitas were so dry the fell off in chips. The food my father ordered was so salty it was almost like sea water. So my recommendation and the latest review is to avoid it, save the time and money. I really do not like writing bad reviews but this one needed to happen.

Been coming here on and off over the years. Although this place has seen it’s better days, it’s still a pretty good location. The food is cooked well and the presentation is nice. I did notice there were slightly understaffed for a busy dinner time service. Thankfully we didn’t have to wait too long. Over all, I rate this location a 3.5 out of 5.

I am not sure if this place was ever good but it’s definitely horrible now.
The food they served us was so salty it was not edible. I took one bite and tasted nothing but salt. I can’t believe I had to pay for a plate of ugly salt soaked food.
I will never go there again

We enjoyed our meal here. Had a courteous waiter and that always helps. Nothing amazing about the food but good quality.

The group we were with had reserved seating for 20. We were assigned one waiter. It took him 30 minutes to take our drink order. Not once did he ask me if I wanted something. My drink, food, refills, and check I had to approach him. At one point he had not been to our table in the past 30 minutes so I walked inside, found him, and ordered drinks for the table. Worst service and food was even worse. My partida margarita was the only exceptional part of my night. Never coming back.

Have been here twice. The food is bland and the service is horrible. I honestly do not know what it is that keeps this place so busy. Not impressed in the least.

This place was once a great resturant. Second time in a month that the service was terrible. This time one dish at the table had raw chicken on it. And I do mean raw. When we asked for manger it took 10 minutes to get someone who said he was a manager to the table.
He was told what happened and he asked if he wanted it recooked. That was all. Nothing else. He could not have cared less. No offer of a discount or anything. He says «yeah, that’s a mistake»
The staff just doesn’t care. Plain and simple…

This place used to be pretty good but it has really gone downhill in the past couple of months. It is always understaffed. We can go in at lunch and be one of four customers in the place and still wait a long time to be seated. You literally have to flag down the waitstaff if you want to order, get more chips, or pay your bill. The food was really burnt last time I went. Trust me, you can do a lot better than this place…

Very yummy! We live right down the road, and for the first time in my life, I’ve attended the same restaurant 3 times in 1 week.
I normally order one of their burrito combination dinners. Each time its very delicious, lots of food, and I always add the special habanero sauce thats usually on the counter. Super spicy but thats the way I like it.
Staff is very friendly. Service was great 2 out of the 3 times, the last one being a little slow on getting me water refills and replacement salsa, no biggie.
The only thing I disliked is the acoustics of the interior. All 3 times I went, people brought their kids with them and they normally aren’t very quiet. There is a reverb that makes it difficult for me and my girlfriend to enjoy conversation. She is hearing-​impaired so we try to get a back-​end booth but its not much of a difference.
I didn’t ding them too much for the noise issue. But be warned this place is frequented with obnoxious kiddos. Come for lunch to ensure the kids will be in school :)

These guys have catered 2 events for me so far. Jose has worked out great deals both times, so much food!!! We ordered enough for 15 adults and it was more like for 50! I highly recommend them! Ask for Jose for your next event!

3 Stars as I have eaten there several times. Some dishes were better than others and sometimes not good at all. Consistency is the key to a great Mexican place. Service is always fast.

Two times eating here and two times sicker than anything ever. I won’t be making that mistake ever again!

After living in Texas I realized that there are as many types of Mexican food as there are of American food. Some are like southern food and some are like New England clam bakes!
The style I like is more interior Mexican food. Less veggies and more MEAT! No stinking peas in my rice. No adding corn nibblettes to everything. Just good meat, sauce and simple veggies.
The shrimp dishes are very good and they devein the shrimp (a must for me).
If you are a vegetarian try the potato burrito but only if you like onion. Is it delicious. If you like onion. It has onion in it.
At lunch there are great values and they serve the lunch menu every day of the week.
There are a few other locations in the Atlanta are and all are consistent. This one is closest to me.

I am going to leave my 2 star and I know I update this review on a regular basis. I always say I am never going back but then I always do. The dollar tacos 2 days a week and the proximity make it just too hard to pass up, even after all my bad experiences. So now after all my visits what I know to be true. The steak is always overcooked and never worth the extra money. They close at 10 but always stay open later. The parking is terrible at peak hours. The staff is very hit or miss. They may give you other peoples food and after you touch it then bring it to the correct people. EW! The patio is nice but in warm weather campers are everywhere! The beer is cheap and cold this in the warmer months helps push me in the door.
I had a soggy chip the last time I was there and almost lost my stomach! I probably will be back but every time I go I am expecting La Parilla and leave wishing I went to taco bell… This is my never ending Los Bravos saga.

Went here in summer.
They really push the margarita’s. . so drank a few top shelvers — drinks were good.
On the other hand, the food wasn’t spectacular. My GF went to the bathroom and got sick. Looks like it could get busy here.
