I had a good experience at this nail salon. I purchased the gel mani-pedi Groupon for $ 25.00. I called on Monday night and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday afternoon. The receptionist took done my name, phone number and Groupon Code. I arrived for my appointment at 1pm and I was seen at 1:15pm, I was cool with that . I showed my groupon voucher. Anyways the two staff members were friendly and both worked on my beautiful OPI gel mani-pedi. They even took the time to show me the color samples and helped me pick out a color. I was offered water, treated with respect and have a great mani-pedi. PS I did not give 5 stars because I was charged tax after the service, I think that should be something that’s taken care at beginning when I showed the Groupon.

PLEASEDONOTGOTHISPLACE! Their customer service is horrible. I had a groupon deal which I called in advance to schedule. However, less than 24 hours before the appointment date/time, they called me asking if I can reschedule since two of their girls will not be able to make it in the day of. They had even left me a VM saying extension of expiration date will be granted since nothing available within it.(The expiration date was June 20). Tonight is the appointment time, so I called several times all morning trying to get through to confirm my appt but no pickup and no call backs. Finally, I just got through and they told me that they had no appt scheduled for tonight. Then, the lady had the audacity to tell me that it was really for June 14. I told her that doesn’t make sense b/c we had to extend expiration date since they had no availability prior to June 20? Plus, I explicitly remember going over the rescheduled date/time with the person then several times on the phone to make sure. June 14 was a Thursday, there was no way I had made an appt for that day b /c I was only looking for a Saturday availability. **See other reviews, it seems like I’m not the only victim***

They recently moved and the place seems smaller than the place featured on their website and not as nice. The front of the salon looks like any neighborhood salon, nothing special. In the back, they have rooms for the spa treatments. I had the 30min back massage which was ok but nothing spectacular. It was relaxing but similar to the ones my boyfriend gives me for free. I bought a discount package but I would not pay full price for the back massage. The package deal included a back massage, a facial, a manicure/pedicure and a haircut. The back massage was ok. The facial was relaxing but I have definitely had better. Martha was nice enough to include some extraction but I would have preferred to do it myself. My skin did not feel as soft or as clean as when I went to Clarins but then it is in a different class. But my skin feels better even after I apply my own clay mask. Nails-wise, they have a nice selection of Essie and OPI nail polish. They even have the gel nail polish but charge more for them. Once again, I enjoyed the mani/pedi at a nail salon near me better as they included a leg and hand massage. Overall, they do offer a nice selection of services but I am not convinced as to how well they execute them. If I lived nearby maybe I would come back, as is it is not a destination salon or spa. I enjoyed my package deal but not sure if I would purchase again or pay full price for services here.

I wouldn’t really categorize this location on Queens Blvd as a spa. Its a two chair salon with minimal amenities. I bought a Groupon for an OPI manicure and spa pedicure. The chairs won’t lean back as they are flush to the wall. This was a significant issue as I am 5’10″ and I spent the«spa pedicure» folded up to get my feet into the pedicure sink. The OPI manicure was not performed well. My technician was eating while performing my manicure. There were small children screaming while I was receiving my services. Over all it wasn’t worth the«bargain» Groupon price.

This is for the Queens Blvd location. This place is hit or miss. If you’re looking for a basic mani/pedi experience, it’s probably fine(although it depends on which employee you end up with since there are a few morose, unfriendly ones who make you feel like you’re impinging on them for asking them to do their job). And it is true, the pedicure chairs don’t recline as they are flush to the wall. I was also unable to locate any evidence(autoclave machine or such) that their metal instruments are sterilized.(Maybe it’s simply in a back room or something…) I also went there for a massage & facial combo through a GroupOn, and I frankly do not recommend this place for any«spa» services. The spa area is quite small and cramped – which of course doesn’t necessarily impact the quality of your massage, but if you’re used to well appointed, relaxing spaces(if you’ve been to Pure Spa further down on Queens Blvd, you know what I’m talking about) you wont find them at this place. The restroom is barely the size of a closet and was honestly a bit awkward to maneuver in. The masseuse I had was essentially a nice person, but her massage skills were definitely lacking. A few small etiquette issues: she wore her long hair down, so that it brushed agaisnt my skin when she leaned over me – a particularly annoying thing when I was face up and her hair was basically in my face. She also had nails that were probably a little too long – never causing any real discomfort, but making me notice enough to think that maybe she should trim them a little. There was also one instance where she forgot to massage the right arm with what she had done to the left(maybe this is nitpicky, but still, shouldn’t a massage be «balanced?»). The facial was fine, par for the course, nothing extraordinary and nothing I would go back for. The products used looked like they were the old remnants from the back of someone’s bathroom cabinet. The facial took place after my massage, and it was done while I remained, undressed, on the massage table(as opposed to in a facial chair or recliner-like seat). And it turns out, laying flat on a firm massage table when you’re not getting massaged isn’t so comfortable. This place is small, and neat enough, but calling it a spa is a gross overstatement. A few staff members are very friendly but some certainly are not. For the quality of the services they provide they are a bit overpriced. All in all, you’ll find better options if you look elsewhere.

I had a great tme at MT, I’ve had horribel experiences with massages before but Fernanda was great! No complaints whatsoever! Erika did my mani/pedi, sweetest girl ever! My nails look amazing and she put this thing so soften my feet, LOVE! Martha was reserved and very nice… I’m coming back!

Nice people. I’ve never been massaged by a man and was hesitant, but I can’t help but say it was one of the beat massages I have ever had. The facial was also great too. I did also had a gel manicure which didn’t come out how I am used to, but overall I am very happy with my experience.

UNPROFESSIONALANDDANGEROUS –People, please do your research. Martha attempted to do laser treatment on my face and FORGOT to give me the eye protective goggles to wear. Has you make appointment time and has one wait a minimum of 45 minutes. Not once in the 3 times I had to go to give Martha the benefit of the doubt of horrible laser treatment was she apologetic or efficient. I had laser treatment for the lip, chin, neck and underarms. The following day, there was hair growth and various areas skipped. I had previous treatment somewhere else and it was nothing like this. Only went to Martha because I was refereed by a relative who know informed that they had no previous laser treatment. To save a few pennies, I ended up enduring unsuccessful results that Martha could not rectify and denied and lied despite numerous witness informing her of the poor treatment. Also practicing gross negligence and carelessly endangering me eyes through repeated facial laser rays. We will have the Magical Touch Spa thoroughly investigated. We have all the means. In the meantime, Please people educate yourselves on what you will have done. Laser hair removal is great if done by a «specialized» Laser practice, not a practice doing various treatments and can not specialize effectively on one area of practice.

Had a bad experience here. Spa chairs don’t recline since there is no space in salon… Tried to use Groupon with salon… Note that I said Tried. No good phone service inside… Owner Maggie or Margaret was not polite… Did not express genuine concern for customer satisfaction… I would never recommend this place to anyone. Sorry…

In response to the business owner, Martha, you said you didn’t yell/scream but then also say that I never expressed my displeasure? Obviously, one or both of your comments are false. I expressed my displeasure and shock, to which you raised your voice and said to call Groupon. That was your response — obviously not aiming to please. Groupon, on the other hand, aims to please and refunded my money. I suggest getting out of the customer service industry.

My husband & I has walked pass Magical Touch Spa on our way to the gym for many years & I never thought of trying them until recently. My husband knew that I was becoming unhappy with the spa that I had been going to for many years. He decided to get me a gift certificate for Valentine’s Day. I finally tried this spa & I am SOLD!!! I’ve gone back several times already! Their facials are thorough & catered to your specific skincare needs(not some generic recipe where every client gets the same mask or serum), afterwards your skin just glows! Honestly, I’ve never had a massage done by a male. Initially I was a little uncomfortable but he did such a fabulous job that all my apprehensiveness melted away, aaahhh :) The pedicure was wonderful, they even do ingrown nails!!! For my wax, they used chocolate wax which smells delicious AND most importantly, they don’t double dip or blow on the wax to cool it down(to me both are very unsanitary). I am soooooooo HAPPY with this spa that I wanted to share my positive experiences with everyone!!!
