The badge of a great liquor store? Scope out the people in line and spot the guy with the red nose and serious DTs. If you see him (and it pretty much always is a *him*) then you know you’ve found yourself a kickass liquor store!
As for me, I typically prefer to browse through their wine collection and/​or determine whether or not they carry upscale gin or vodka to supply my martini addiction. This place does alright as far as wine selection, actually… They’re on the pricier side… pricier by far than, say, BevMo, but probably about par with Ralph’s or Albertson’s.
I asked the owner about delivery… They have a sign that says «We deliver» and I was like… Woot! I can have my Bombay Sapphire or Damrak delivered right at my door? The guy said the sign’s been there for a while and they haven’t gotten around to taking it down yet… d’oh!
